You guys not liking the bowing and curtsying makes me laugh every time. You like the royals but not the Royal parts. I’m just here for the clothes and jewels. The royal formalities can be done, just keep the tiaras coming. This is also me. Fashion and jewels please. Plus, I like reading about the charity/social causes the royals support. |

I actually had no idea that Spain still had a monarchy until this thread so that's how little i care about royal's in general. But now i've discovered Letizia, I care very much about what she wears. |

Can someone explain to me how Kate’s garden works? Like if they brought in sticks are any of the trees/bushes planted? Is it all going to be removed soon?

I kind of wish, JUST GIVE ME A SECOND TO EXPLAIN PLEASE, Kate would update her makeup a little. I think sometimes it's a bit harsh and ages her.

I know it’s Pippa’s anniversary, but we also need to celebrate the anniversary of the time I felt most similar to Kate  There’s actually a picture of me and DS1 from my sister’s wedding that’s alarmingly similar. |

It's just that if I were in their shoes, I'd be super down playing the formal etiquette and hierarchy stuff as much as possible. I suspect some of it is just a hold over from the Queen's generation. Think about the way her own mother was raised - the daughter of an earl in the era of Downton Abbey with almost no concept of money or budgeting (which is why she died deeply in debt www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-506198/The-Empress-Extravagance-How-Queen-Mother-left-7m-debts.html). The world has changed radically since then. I think Charles sees the writing on the walls which explains his drive to slim the paid monarchy down (so you'll no longer have cousins of the monarch making six figures from the Civil List, which no longer exists any case or living rent free in various estates). The changes are slow but they are coming. The younger generation especially seems much less fussy. |
