Random hypothetical question (probably for ArielMermaid) If Charles were to die before the queen, Archie will never have been the grandchild of a sovereign, just the great grandchild and then nephew. So then, would that completely erase the opportunity to obtain HRH? That is a good question! I don’t actually know. But I think it is Charles being king that makes Archie an HRH. I don’t know that Wills being King gives that to him? Like, when Charles is king I don’t think Lady Louise gets to be Princess Louise, because the King is her Uncle. |

I love Archie! I feel like they know he isn’t going to get a title someday, it’s a great name. If he does become HRH Prince Archie someday, I don’t love it! Lol I’d prefer an Archibald called Archie.
My son will have a title someday when he marries Charlotte, and therefore needed the name William whom we call Liam. Lol 😉

Could he become HRH Master Archie without a prince title? I think it’s an opt in. HRH wouldn’t be used with Master. He would need some title. I think it would end up being similar to James and Louise, Edward's kids. They are technically blood Prince and princess, their parents just past on that styling. So instead they go by their titles based on their father's titles. I've seen some royal experts debate whether or not they are still HRH, even though the family has chosen not to style them that way. And I think they also use the Mountbatten-Windsor surname, yet another parallel. Unless there's something in the Sussex dukedom papers that says otherwise, the dukedom will eventually be inherited by Archie. And as such, he's technically a lord or whatever, based on Harry's minor titles (I think Earl of Dumbarton). I didn't think it would be possible for him to be completely without a title, unless all of Harry's are designed to revert back to the crown. I think his christening will help clear this up some. That will be more formal than the Instagram announcement. I clearly have spent way too much time reading about the BRF when my insomnia acts up. |

Regarding a title for Master Archie- wouldn’t he someday inherit the Duke of Sussex title? I’m basing that off the fact that QE2’s cousin Prince Richard, Duke of Gloucester, inherited that title from his father, who was the son of George V/ brother to Edward VIII and George VI.
I thought those titles pass down until there are no male descendants to inherit it.

Here’s the thing. If Archie has a title it would have been announced with his name. It wasn’t so he doesn’t. They have passed on giving him the Dumbarton title. He is currently the Zara of the family.
