I dyed my hair... I thought I’d try something different, let just say I did not work out. How are you girls today?

Good morning! I feel like I’ve been here but haven’t been checking in enough. We’re going to try a new zoo today bc it looks like the last sunny day in a while.

What happened to your hair nam2013? I learned my lesson years ago...I will never attempt to color my own hair again. The money I spent fixing it, I could have had it professionally done in the first place.

I walked out the door and left my Advil Cold and Sinus on the kitchen counter. I'll probably be making a trip to Walgreens soon. I'm pretty sure mine is allergies, which I haven't had issues with in years. I feel a little congested when I wake up and as the day goes on, I feel terrible. We have our a/c on at home, so I'm pretty sure all the pollen is the issue.

H had a temp of 103 last night and didn’t want to eat dinner. I checked his ears and it looks like one of his tubes is just hanging on by a thread. He threw up at some point in the MOTN. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I’m taking him to the ent this morning and then I’ll be staying home with him.

Re all, I didn’t do it myself, I went to a salon I’ve been going to since I was twelve. I wanted to go lighter than normal.... it is just to pornstar (for lack of a better word) blonde...

nam2013 I think the blonde is a nice spring color. There is a lot of contrast between your roots and the blonde though, I'd go back and ask for more of a root drag to make the color blend better.

At least contact the salon and tell them you're not happy and see what they can do to fix it.

J/k--did you see that U/O or FFFC a while back? Something about feeling like you're a parent failure if your kid vomits in the night and you don't know (because why would you if they don't start screaming or come in and tell you?).

X has done this probably a dozen times, always when he has an ear/sinus thing going on.

I do feel awful about it, but we still use a monitor that is about 18 inches from his face and still never hear or see anything. I think he just does it in his sleep and rolls over to go back to bed without fully waking. 🤷‍♀️

Sorry H is still having ear troubles, tgrimes. He’s got to have his health turn around at some point soon, I would really hope. Poor guy.

nam2013 I like the color, too, but don’t much like the high contrast with the roots. Once they touch that up, it’s going to look great. Good luck!

I haven't even thought about Easter until yesterday. I had too many stocking stuffers at Christmas and put some back for Easter. I'm going to Michael's/Target during my lunch break today to finish up. #doingthemost

Last night I was up until 10:30 assembling butterfly goldfish and grape snacks for Cass' school. (Put goldfish in one side of a baggy, grapes on the other, twist in the middle and secure with decorated clothespin to resemble butterfly.) She was in meltdown mode when I suggested we just bring the treats sans décor due to lack of time. So Scott and I got an assembly line going and knocked them out.

My work computer sucks and is blocking every linked image (I didn't take pictures of the ones we did last night because I was just furiously assembling). But this is the idea. You can use any snack you want for it. We also did this for Maddie's last day of bringing snack to preschool. We had more time during the weekend the girls and I painted the clothespins all sorts of vibrant colors and attached pipe cleaner antennae. It's a fun craft for the kids, relatively simple, and travels easily.

Now that both my kids are in their own rooms (KNOCKS ON ALL THE WOOD) I have experienced that lovely thing of waking up to a child 1 inch from your nose. Absolutely delightful... I legit almost peed my pants this morning when J did it to me.

M came in the other night, about an hour after he was supposed to be asleep just to tell me that he thought he ate to much oatmeal for breakfast and didn't want oatmeal tomorrow morning. Then just walked out.

Ugh fire drills at work (not real ones, but system not working right bc someone messed up🙄). My dad is coming to powerwash the deck tomorrow while I work from home with both kids bc it's conference day...this sounds like an adventure. Need to figure out how to turn our water back on and straighten up a bit tonight for his arrival.

Oh after care enrollment was only for existing families, I have to wait a few weeks, womp womp.
