guster my mouth is watering. That all sounds so good. And I’m starving, which doesn’t help. Haha. Not sure what’s being served at our dinner tonight but I hope it’s delicious.

peachsmama your snap at the park made me think how much my family suffers when I'm stressed. I admire your ability to spend time doing things like the park when you're feeling overwhelmed.

Re kids movies: I cannot wait for Secret Life of Pets 2 to come out. The first was so good and a favorite of mine. C likes it ok but not as much as I do.
C loves the movies and does pretty good. Midway he may move to a different set of seats but we go at non peak times and as long as he’s quiet and not moving constantly I think it’s fine. He also loved the kids pack from the concession stand where he gets his own popcorn and a box for it. I would bring him to more movies but it doesn’t get energy out and that is usually needed.

Work was super busy again. We have a big financial audit in May and got a long list of things we need to send by May 3rd. Between jury duty and Denver next week I have very few days to get this done. I’m sure I will but it’s been hard. I wish I had the time to stay late and come in early like I could pre child.
Also the baseball coach emailed today saying he wanted to see who would be coming to practice tomorrow because he has heard that a lot aren’t because it’s spring break. I’m sure he won’t get back to us with a decision until late tomorrow which is a bit annoying. He also moved practice to be 6-7 each week instead of 5:30-6:30 which is going to be a bit rough since C goes to bed at 7:30.

What I saw in one of them was thick fluid. He let me look in both of his ears while I was there. His otoscope is way more powerful than mine. We attempted the hearing test again and it wouldn’t work. We did the normal one where they play sounds and you look in the direction but she can’t give me conclusive results. We’ll try again in September, unless I need to go back to the ENT before that. He said if he continues like this while on the weekly antibiotic to request the immunologist to run more tests. But really H just needs to grow.

On a sort of related note, we got information about graduation, and it’s at seven. I know Josie can (sort of) rally for it, but I don’t know what to do about Charlie. Some of my family will be coming for it, so I’m hoping that somebody will be kind enough to sit with him (maybe outside) while it’s happening, and then they can all come back here to celebrate with cake.

TV shows are the standard here (for both kids actually). There’s something about the idea of a movie that is super scary to her. I shouldn’t complain. The shows they watches are entertaining and they are both learning lots of cool things (mostly about animal and science facts ), but sometimes I wish we could sit down and watch the latest Pixar together as a family. On YouTube, it’s mostly alphabet or number videos, like pancake manor or scratch garden. Bounce patrol and Storybots are still favorites Could you try just starting a movie, without telling her that it’s a movie? Maybe fast forward past the intro stuff.

Dd is turning 3 in a little over a month, we have so many stuff already (second kid syndrome) play kitchen/store/ice cream counter, balance bike, trycicle etc. Any ideas? First off, you look beautiful! The first hair was a tad harsh, but second looks amazing. 2nd.. L is a girlie girl to the max but hit gifts have been cash register (both kids love), a big Barbie head so she can do hair, play makeup, dress up clothes..

mamabear our very first trip to a bounce house party when DS1 was little, we saw an 18 month old snap a leg on a slide on the mother’s lap. I seriously don’t know how I have ever gone back to those places.

We are doing Easter at the beach on Sunday. My H still hasn’t spoken to my dad since January. This should be nice and dysfunctional.

wedding I didn’t know there was a Secret Life of Pets 2, the first was T’s first movie theater movie. Last summer I used to take all 4 kids and C usually just slept but I probably won’t be able to get away with that this year. I only go to the movies before noon because otherwise it would be like $100 for all of us. DH and I were discussing how we don’t know what the last movie we saw together was. We should really go to something.

Ours is at 9:30 am on a Wednesday. Who planned that??? Ours is at 10am on a Thursday. I can see both sides of it. 7 o’clock is really fair to two working parents and families that might be coming in from out of town. Ours is on a Friday, too, so it gives most everybody the ability to relax after it.

I think peer pressure will get to her eventually.

I just had an oh shit parenting moment. A wanted to go down a tall slide at the park so I figured I'd go down with her. Halfway down I remember a viral pic of a little kid who's foot got caught sitting on mom's lap and ankle snapped...at the exact moment I feel A's foot start to get caught. I grabbed it and and luckily all is okay but I'm kicking myself for her almost really getting hurt. 😞 I’m glad you caught it in time. I’m so paranoid about that so anytime a kid slides on my lap I hold their legs together on top of mine.

H’s preschool doesn’t do graduation. I think it might be because the school also has a private kindergarten so they assume everyone will continue on to that 🤷🏻♀️.

Just a heads up, they can actually break going down the slide by themselves too. One little girl in Cadence's class broke her leg on a slide at Chuck E. Cheese when she was 2.
