Good morning, everyone! Spring break here. We’re heading to Home Depot to buy grass seed and some soil. Exciting stuff!

Morning!
We did a trip to Home Depot yesterday for random yard stuff for a couple small projects this year, and by this year I want them done by May long weekend.
Normal morning here and I’m leaving work to take Pete to the vet for follow up blood tests for his hyperthyroidism and to chat about his anti seizure meds, I’m not sure they’re a good fit. I’m going to research CBD oil for him, I’ve heard great things.

Morning! I refuse to buy plants yet...this winter has been crazy. Although the extended forecast looks decent, so maybe this coming weekend.
Nothing exciting here today. My office is closed Friday, so I'm happy it's only a 4 day work week.

I'm at work. My kitchen is a disaster from all of our meal prep and it's giving me anxiety...but I HAD to watch GoT last night.

Morning!
We made it back yesterday afternoon and immediately felt overwhelmed with everything because the house did not get tended to before we left because I was sick. I am off today, so I need to regroup and power through some of this stuff. I also have errands to run at some point. I need two whole days to get through my to do list.
Good news is MH should be home Thursday and home for good until we move. Finally!

H keeps shoving his finger in his ear. We have an appt with the ENT on Wednesday. He's finally potty trained though, if you want to call it that. He still can't verbally tell me he has to go so we're just on a schedule of going every hour. M hasn't thrown up since we started the reflux meds. So hopefully this does the trick. We go back to the GI in a couple of weeks. We'll need to do blood work to check her thyroid levels, since they were off last time.

tgrimes Poor H, I hope he feels better. Were you able to get the meds through insurance? I'm jealous of the potty every hour. I haven't updated, but Evie's constant pottying still hasn't cleared up. I've kind of been ignoring it because the drs office checked her urine and blood and nothing came back. But last week she started saying she needs to go potty but nothing coming out. It's to the point that we leave our house and drive 10 minutes, whenever we get somewhere, she HAS to potty. And she does go. I make her go before we leave the house, then 10 minutes later, she has to go again. She does drink a lot. But I want to see if there is anything else we should be looking at because it isn't normal. It's also starting to give me anxiety about the drive to Alabama in 2 weeks. I have no idea how long she can actually hold it for. We have a doctor appointment tomorrow with her pedi to discuss more. Speaking of, what are some recommendations that keep your kids entertained on long road trips? We will likely be in the car for 8-9 hours 2 days in a row, there and back.

mwhip Could she be constipated? Yes, I was able to get insurance to cover the meds. I need to call the immunologist to redo the prescription though. Road trip: I downloaded lots of movies on her kindle. I bought Old Maid and a few other card games she could play. I also brought lots of coloring books for the color wonder markers (less messy) and a spirograph set thingy.

mwhip Aside the usual snacks, music, movies as a last resort. I always make a bag with small presents, magazine, cheap binoculars, finger puppets, plastic animal, mirror, toy phone etc. I wrap all off these and when things get dire, I throw them towards them, I know it’ll distract them. By know the kids know I have these and it helps a lot .

mwhip, +1 to what everyone else says. We also use our phones as a hotspot so he can just used the tablet to do whatever he wants. So movies, games, etc. That usually keeps him occupied 90% of the time and the rest is snacks, coloring books, action figures, etc. I actually find this age pretty easy to travel with (as opposed to my 2 year old who screams after 15 minutes "I WANT TO GET OUT!!!!!!!" I hope the pedi finds some solution to the constant peeing

tgrimes She isn't constipated, she goes pretty regularly...I know since I still have to check her and make sure she wipes well. It's just potty. It reminds me of when I get UTI's, but with no pain. I ask constantly if it hurts and she always says no. There is no blood in her urine. She just pees a LOT. I know she drinks a lot, I do too. Most of the time when I'm in the bathroom with her, I'll just go ahead and go as well, but the difference is that I can hold it, and she acts like she's going to pee her pants. I get super annoyed with her, and I know I shouldn't, but damn if I didn't need to see the inside of the bathroom at the grass seed store, that was clearly just meant for employees. I don't know if I can request a sonogram, just to make sure something isn't squeezing her bladder or something like that?

S BFFs sister is having surgery in a few weeks and will not be able to run around so much. She is 3.5 (4 over the summer) and is a bright little girl who loves art and LOLs. But mostly loves running outside with her brother. I am trying to think of a gift to give them for when she is cooped up (2 week recovery). She will (hopefully) be feeling ok, but will have lots of stitches on her face so her mother will have to work hard to keep her from being too active and possible hurting herself.
Any ideas?

I'm getting some work done before taking my cousin to the doctor. She's due in October. This is her first OB appointment. She doesn't like to go by herself with her daughter and I like to tag along because she's not the most honest person. If I'm there, then I know what is really going on. She's the one that when her daughter was born last March none of us knew she was on suboxone until her daughter started going through withdrawals... So I plan to go to every appointment I can swing.

I pee a lot and when I am good with my water intake, it can be every 10 mins at times. My issue is actually a small bladder. So maybe that is her as well?
Also C had a bathroom emergency at CVS a couple of weeks ago and we had to go in back to use the employees bathroom. The employee who brought us back had to stay back to escort us out. C dropped a major deuce that smelled wretched and I was afraid it would clog the toilet. It didn't but the look on the employees face when I opened the door and the smell wafted out was...something. I hustled out of there red faced and quick!

mwhip I would definitely trust your mom gut and ask for more testing. Make them prove to you that everything is normal. I think some Drs tend to lean to the least intrusive things when there isn’t something super obvious or causing pain. I’ve told Drs several times that I have good insurance and don’t care about the copays/deductibles...please just figure out why my kids hands don’t fucking work! And so they moved forward with ruling things out by testing for everything. Lol.
