wedding that is pretty busy, is that going to be 3 nights in a row every week? Could you drop to one day of karate a week if needed? It will be Monday, Wednesday and Thursday. Our studio requires two classes a week. If you don’t do that you won’t be eligible for stripe and belt tests. Plus it’s expensive and we pay a flat monthly. It will be a lot but hopefully it will work out ok. I feel bad over scheduling him but he really wants to do both so it’s worth a shot.

Sorry you’re feeling so terrible, @lahdeeddah. FX your health makes a quick turnaround before the weekend.

I'd say keep it up as long as he enjoys it, but if it's too much, pull the plug. Selfishly it'd be too much for me to handle. J is only doing soccer and tball bc soccer is during school hours.

wedding, Cadence will start doing dance 2 days a week this summer and that will likely continue into the fall. She handles it really well right now, but after she starts kinder that might change. We'll see how it goes. She bitches about going to dance, but as soon as her leotard is on she's ready. She actually told me she didn't want to do the recital any more and I reminded her that she is first in line onto the stage and if she isn't there, then the other girls won't go on. She liked that and is now very excited to participate. We are taking a break in June where she won't have anything in the evenings, but it will be short-lived.

wedding, We are doing karate too and it's like a gym membership - we pay monthly and they can go up to 3 times per week. They randomly earn stripes for things and can belt test if they have 3 stripes when it's time for the test, so it is not related to how often they go. I usually make it 1 day a week + Saturday mornings. Occasionally we get a 3rd time in during the week. But T Ball started last week and that is 1 night a week as well so I doubt we will be able to make Karate as often. It is $$$ though, so I try to get him there as often as I can without burning the rest of us out. (And poor B who just tags along to everything!)

I’m trying to keep B to one activity at a time right now, too. Basketball and golf overlapped by a couple weeks but it was fine since golf is 1 weekday and b-ball was just Saturday. TBH that’s the main reason we aren’t playing Tball again (besides the meth heads, lol)...it was 3-4 games/practices a week and it felt like a lot at this age. My mom will admit to over-scheduling us (particularly me) growing up; her family did not have a lot of extra money when she was young so she wanted us to have all the opportunities that were out of her reach as a kid. I can vividly remember changing out of my leotard and into my bathing suit in the backseat of the minivan as we zoomed from dance to swim team 😂 I also played tennis, did gymnastics, and took piano 😳 I think she saw sense at some point and we scaled back, lol.

wedding, while it'll be busy, it's doable. I know getting there is the chore, but once at TKD I often use the kids' class as my time to space out. The girls and I do TKD 4 nights a week. But we've made a routine of it and they are buddies with the other kids there. C will adjust even though baseball makes it more hectic. Hopefully he'll be going to bed without issue the next 2 months.
