Hello all. Why do 3 year olds challenge everything?! Lol
I’m starting to get a little worried/frustrated about DS’s lack of words, both verbal and signing. He just doesn’t say much. And I know he knows signs, but half the time he refuses to sign things back to us. GDI kid, tell me you want the milk instead of grunting like a caveman!!
Also, am I really behind on transitioning to booster seat, or are there others still in the high chair?! I kind of like having him constrained during meals long enough to get a few bites in myself!

Hello! I had a snow day yesterday. ANOTHER ONE!!! SO that's another day to make up. A 1/2 day on a Monday. Ugh. E is staying home two days a week until I get out and it just so happens yesterday was a day he was going to be home. That meant I could watch him. But he has a terrible cold so his sleep was awful last night. I got 4 hours a sleep, 11:30-1:30, and 3-5. I'm not sure I'll function that well today. Where is there still snow?!! That is crazy!

We don’t use the tray anymore but we still restrain him a lot.

I also have a asshole 3yo, a grunting pointer, and a highchair eater lol I'm not concerned one bit though. He communicates, in his own little way. He points and grunts for what he wants and when I ask you want this? He says "yeah"lol. And I'm not giving him the booster until ds3 learns to sit still and not get up and run around the table at dinner. His punishment right now is being strapped in. He can sit like a big boy when he acts like one. AJs happy in his highchair (and contained lol) So, anyways, you're not alone

DC called, N bumped his head again. I told the head of the center she might as well put me on speed dial at this point (He's fine, just tumbled playing outside. But any time it's the head they have to call.)

I think we're done now, we got probably 1-2in but in a short amount of time, thankfully it's mostly melting on the roads but it was still slick.

It's not uncommon for us to still see snow into May where I live. It snowed here today too. We're not getting the blizzard though, thank goodness!

Lol pootsen, or me when I see any white car or motorcycle on the side of the road #cautiousspeeder. Also, we love letterkenny! Funny and different. We're on the west coast so nothing like them 😂 Sorry for all of the snow 😬 DD has only ever been in the booster kind of seat that straps to a dining chair. She still eats better if we use the tray than if we put her right at the table though. And she has quite a few words and a lot of random ones like stairs, towel, octopus. But that doesn't mean that she doesn't struggle to communicate if she wants milk sometimes. I feel like it's two things, being able to say the word and being able to actually communicate under pressure.

I sent both kids to day care today since they were fine all day Tuesday. They were fine all day at day care today.
And the baby just threw up in her crib. Twice. 😞 WTF is this weird illness that starts and stops?

E is home today because he is sick. He has a doctor's appointment tomorrow to check his ears. I'm worried about another ear infection. This is the only time they were available so he has to wait a day but we are keeping him on ibuprofen just in case. I have to take tomorrow off because the daycare provider is having an MRI. I overslept this morning. I got to school on time but I barely saw the boys before I left. And tonight is my student's music concert so I won't be home until after they go to bed. It's been a weird week.

I had to call in to work this morning because DS is still complaining about his ear. We actually managed to get in to a same day appointment at the doctor’s office *shocking*. It’s in 45 minutes. So we shall see if there’s been any worsening since Monday when he was at the pedi’s walk in.
DD2 doesn’t say much in terms of actual words. She babbles, points and understands when we tell her to do something. I’m not overly worried. DS went to speech therapy and DD1 was (and is) a very chatty kid. So DD2 is somewhere in the middle. Also she’s in a space saver high chair sideways on the bench at the table. She’s never sat in the actual high chair (we got rid of it about a year ago when DD1 wanted out of it).

This weather suuuuucks. We got a few inches of snow overnight and now it’s sleeting.
C doesn’t talk much either. Lots of babbling though. I swear he said “water” a couple of times the other day but of course he hasn’t done it since.
We have him in a booster seat with a tray, so like a space saver but without as high of a back. His new favorite thing is to crawl up on Ds1’s chair and try to eat his food.

LMAO pootsen that is amazing. Sorry for the snow, everyone! Hope it's not too disruptive and melts quickly. And that Mother Nature stops the mood swings. Good news! We were finally able to talk to the head of the center and the tentative plan for N is to have him spend most of next week in the Toddler 1 room and then move him permanently on the following Monday. (Which is good because he is SO DONE with the infant room. You know, as much as a 15mo can be so done with anything lol). The bad news is his BFF is moving and tomorrow is his last day! I am so sad for N. I'm sure he'll be over it in a few days of him not being there, but they clearly have a good time with each other. I got the impression the family wasn't moving out of the region, just to a different area, so we might be able to keep in touch? We never seem to be at drop-off/pick-up at the same time, would it be weird to leave a note in his cubby for his parents?

N loves to babble. He can say Dada, Papa (my dad), and baba with regularity. He can also say Mama but never when you ask him, lol. If he's anything like me, once he starts talking you won't be able to shut him up. We swear he was trying to say "splash" in the tub the other night but he was probably just making noises. The cutest is when he gets hold of my phone. He'll hold it up and say "Paaapaaa" so longingly it's like we have no choice but to Facetime with my parents

Morning Ladies!
Gianna is at preschool and Siena & Paris are napping so I just ate breakfast in peace 🙌🏼
Paris has another ear infection but already seems to be doing better since getting antibiotics yesterday. We did their 15 month well check yesterday (a bit late) and I was relieved that their weight gain was good!
The weather has been really nice here (sending our sunny vibes to everyone still getting snow!) and it feels like light at the end of the tunnel from cold season. (I can’t believe the girls have been sick off and on since the end of November). We’ve been working on the backyard, made a few raised bed gardens which I’m excited about and we’re getting a nice tax return that we’re probably going to partially use on a new shed and maybe a new back fence. I can’t wait for summer time and spending most of our days outside!

DS’s daycare bestie’s parents did that and we didn’t think it was weird.

So DS has a RAGING ear infection now. The doctor said don’t be surprised if his ear drum ruptures. Sounds awful. Amox given. Should be a fun weekend 🙄

Ds2 had his follow up post ear tubes surgery. Everything looks great. He finally said mama with intention this morning and it melted my heart!
He has another cold, but thankfully the tubes are doing their job and no ear infection. He's also getting at least 2 molars but is handling it pretty well.
