Where to? I’m taking the kids to Europe this summer so I’m curious where you think is most kid-friendly. She really wants Paris, so I’ll probably indulge that for a couple of days and tack on maybe a few more days in London. I’m thinking she might be entertained by the Chunnel? My main criteria was that I not have to worry about a car seat, so cities with great public transportation or easily getting a car with a car seat. It’s not necessarily my top choice, but the fact that it’s her dream is basically my number one deciding factor lol. Ohhh that would be so fun. I did that trip with MH a couple of years ago and we kept saying it would be such a great trip to take kids on. You could do sight-seeing, tea, shopping. That’s a good Mother-Daughter trip.

MH had a conference here this past week, and since DD is on spring break we decided to fly out to meet him. I’m excited to explore around; I’ve never been outside of the airport. It’s sunny right now, but it’s supposed to rain tomorrow (though Seattle has now prepared me for this!). Luckily Monday and Tuesday are supposed to be clear and sunny. I’m not sure where you’re staying but if you have some downtime during one of the nice days, the Maggie Daley Park is really incredible and free and shouldn’t be crowded if it’s a school day. Your DD is probably the perfect age too. brux SweetPotato and I took our boys here and it was awesome. Literally the biggest slide I have ever seen.

I have dreams of taking DD to Paris when she’s old enough to not be destroyed by the time change.

It’s basically the girliest trip we could take together. I think it helps that both are places that I’ve been a few times so if we have to miss seeing things because she’s a kid and tired, it doesn’t matter to me at all.

It’s been far too long since I’ve had Aussie cheese fries. I’m definitely getting some when we get back. They have a skinny margarita on the cocktail list that’s surprisingly good. Well this is good to know. Thanks!

I’m currently planning an international trip for me and DD1. She’s almost 7 and I think she will be so much fun to travel with. I have so many miles burning a hole in my pocket and I figure that after solo parenting for 10 months while pregnant and then with a newborn, DH shouldn’t get a say in how I use the damn miles 😂 Stop by Germany! 😘

The girls finally came inside after I bribed them with the promise of homemade hot chocolate. H convinced me to make enough to mix with Bailey's. Twist my arm.

Our baby just took three steps before falling. I am so not ready. R keeps doing this too! Meanwhile, C has just now become an efficient crawler and is mostly happy to sit and watch the chaos happen around her.

Sauvignon Blanc on deck, although I’ve been half drunk since 10:30am. We’re in Florida for spring break and the weather hasn’t been amazing, but at least we got some beach time in today.
I’m trying to convince MH to do NYC/Nantucket for a kid free vacay in June. He’s lukewarm on Nantucket and I have no idea what to tell him when he asks why I want to go there, other than Elin Hilderbrand makes it sound dope. Help? Anyone have thoughts on Nantucket?

I was reading Michelle Obama’s book on the way here, and a woman in the next isle was reading it too. We said it was so fitting since we were flying into Chicago. Maybe I’ll casually run into them here 🤞

It will only be a billion dollars per year. Psh.

We left the house for a few to pick up some flowers for S to take care of. I got marigolds which should be fairly simple to keep alive. I just finished chipotle chicken tacos and Trader Joe’s canned wine so I’m really at peace right now. I’m going to give the kiddo some medicine and put her to bed and then catch up on Dear White People.

I just got home from a wing cook off that I went to after work. My hands smell delightfully smokey. DH, dd1, and Ds were able to finish the egg hunt as planned after leaving dd2 with my fil. She has not thrown up since and seems in good spirits, which hopefully means good thing for their drive home tonight/tomorrow.
It's probably weird, but I love how unsettled Ds and Dd2 look in this pic. This was taken before she threw up for the second time. DH and I have been saying they need end of the ride pictures for The Haunted Mansion for years.poof

I’m rewatching the last season of GOT so I’m ready. I also have a rosé hard cider that is just okay.

I have a Keto take a Chile relleno casserole in the oven. I hear. Cold beer calling my name.
MH and I decided we are going to LA tomorrow to our favorite wing place and then Milk Bar.

Ours have curbside take out. Is that an option? I didn't even check. Good call! Get some creamy jalepeno dip with chips. And the baja fried shrimp tacos if you like shrimp. I like their enchiladas too.

Oh, and pobre, he was supposed to have a training by you and Dr. Cox next month. It was canceled for low registration, and I’m hoping it’s rebooked during the summer so DD and I can join him. Yessss
