My in laws have THREE refrigerators. One is basically beer and other booze. Three refrigerators is nuts to me though. We live that two full size fridges + another chest freezer life. #beerfridgerich? #meatfreezerrich? Lol.

I haven't heard of most of the shit being discussed for several pages here. Just a note not a complaint.

Did anyone else have a park like this near them? Ours was exactly like this and so much fun. By fun, I also mean slivers and waspsΒ There is one just like this in my ILsβ town and we played there a lot one summer while staying with them. Wasps and bees galore!

Also these bad boys that would burn your hands off and fling you into the ground without mercy. So fun. Last year I made it my mission to find a playground near us that still had one - we had to drive 15 miles, but it was worth it to introduce DS to the joy of it :-) There are at least two still in my town. #rustymerrygoroundrich

Are Catalina and French dressing the same?
My mom always says French dressing tastes like a dumpster smells and now it's ruined for me.

There used to be this place in Western PA called "Hoss's" and it was sort of like a Ponderosa. We went there a lot too. We have a Hoss's near us! I've never been there but apparently people go HAM on their steaks.

oh shit we used to eat waffle and ice cream too. Also spaghetti sandwiches. We ate spaghetti omelets. Also lo mein omelets. Only in my adulthood did I realize this was the poor Italian way of eating any kind of leftover. Add a scrambled egg to it! omg does anyone else's kid have this leapfrog number lovin' oven? it sings a song about how you can add an egg to anything to make it a meal. "if you like eggy cupcakes, put an egg on it!" so. you are not alone.

for me it was kids who got the newest nintendos and multiple games to go with them. my parents were firmly in the video games rot your brain camp (also no way i'd get a gift that expensive), so i was next level jealous.

My parents worked 12+ hour days, 7 days/week, and had no retirement savings, yet drove an Audi or Lexus because everyone drove fancy cars. My mom constantly complained about not having enough money but the car was non-negotiable. It's complicated. my mom is still like this. she always drove a cadillac. never a used car. at one point my dad's wages were garnished and my mom had to pawn a ring to shop for groceries...but she drove that cadillac to the pawn shop dammit! my childhood was weird and contradictory in many ways.

I grew up in a very wealthy town outside of NYC. We were comfortable but not on the level of many of my classmates. Iβve been trying to think of the particular things that made me think people were next level...
There was a trend for awhile of having your birthday party be an overnight at the Hyatt, and you invited everyone. So enough rooms at the Hyatt for 30 girls or so.
People whose parents had a house in this town and also an apartment in the city. Theyβd have ragers on the weekend when there parents werenβt there (I was not invited to these parties).
Head to toe J. Crew and Tiffany jewelry, usually that heart bracelet.

You werenβt playing right if you didnβt play on this I had the worse burn on the back of thigh from one of these. My mom could hear my screaming from the house (yes the parents let us go to the park behind the house all by ourselves).
