Catching up from the last few days. sophiegrace I'm crossing fingers that their worst case scenarios are just that and don't happen. ❤ danib so sorry to hear about your MIL. Glad they caught it early and she has a few options and good prognosis. starbuck my H is ridiculously loud at times too. I feel vindicated though because A has started telling him "Daddy too loud" when he's doing it, lol.

Re: ass wiping M just recently started to wipe herself. We had to make a deal that she would try wiping first and then I’d double check. We also had 8543896 talks about wiping a few times, then flushing the toilet. It’s been a process. Most people in N13 still complain about wiping. This is...not encouraging. lol

Also my H freaked out like two days after my bfp and was like A has to be trained before the new baby comes. 🙄 She'll be three by then, so yeah, that's the plan. That's always been the plan.

Thank you for all the potty advice. I’m scared! Someone come potty train my kid! Lol I was scared with M too. You literally have to approach it knowing it won’t happen over night, knowing there will be multiple accidents and keeping your expectations low. Ha ha ha! MH had been getting very frustrated with H. I’ve had to remind him accidents are normal and it’s not making anything better by yelling.

Well fuck.
My mom occasionally lets AV walk around in panties.. bc AV thinks that part is cool but won’t use the potty so my mom put a diaper back in her when she pisses herself. And she fights me hard on even trying. Even though she holds her pee all night. She’s tough man.
AB likes the idea of the potty but mostly just wants to play with it. We’re all kinds of screwed.
My plan is to give it another month and then once it’s nice enough for them to be mostly naked, just let them run around naked and sit them down on the pot every hour. Who knows if it’ll be successful.
My kids are gonna be in diapers at 18.

Morning ladies. Another super fun issue has popped up at work and peple aren't answering my questions. I knew this was going to happen when I saw the change come through and I made sure to tell the testing team to check this feature. Of course they didn't.
A couple people from my plant are in town and wanted to meet me so we're going out to lunch. I hate meeting people lol. At least one person I know will be there too.

Working at 6am this morning but that means I get to wfh and I’m still in my pjs. The nesting instinct is strong right now. The room still needs another coat of paint... my parents were nice enough to paint for me. But they are kind of blind and I still see beige peaking through. I have textured walls and there was only a coat of builder paint on there so it soaks up a lot of paint. That means H has to do it... which means it will be weeks!

Lol cookswithwine we have the same H. I’ve been waiting MONTHS for him to finish sanding our mudroom so I can paint in there. It’s a job that will literally take him 10 minutes. Everything always seems to take him forever for some reason. So I’ll probably just end up doing it.

I'm trying to do more intermittent fasting but today was rough. I made it, tho. Just ate a bunch of skinny dipped almonds which are always amazing. My boss has been bugging me to make her some food so I made a batch of coconut carrot soup last night and she brought a fresh baguette from the French bakery next door. I can't wait to eat lunch.
Otherwise, just working.

Please tell me why I just had to explain to an engineer in the oil and gas field that there are 2000lbs in a ton and to convert from pounds to tons you would simply just divide the total pounds by 2000? Like, why does this person make so much more money than me?

Still pretty low on energy. Went to the gym this morning and only made it through 3/4 of my regular workout before calling it quits (and that wasn't even at my full speed or anything). I start volunteering at the childcare there next week. Which means in just a few weeks mine and DH's memberships will be free. So that's pretty awesome. Othet than that, nothing exciting happening today.

Also just want to say that we didn't even start potty training DS1 until after he turned 3. He was like 3.25 when we started. So I'm not worried about potty training DS2 for at least another year.

I went to the OBGYN yesterday to talk about surgery. Their office does a complete tubal removal instead of the normal tubal ligation so she wanted to go over risks, etc. Recent research shows removing the entire tube can lower your risk of ovarian cancer. She said she normally doesn't do a tubal with a D&C but if I really wanted it done, she would.
What I'd really like is for MH to get a vasectomy and not need a D&C in the first place. But from a cost perspective, if I'll already be paying $4000 for a D&C, I might as well throw in a tubal while I'm at it.

H can't move up to the next room until he's potty trained. I don't like this. I mean, I get it. But I don't like it. Apparently there was a 5 yo still in this room last year because he still wasn't potty trained. Parents began complaining because the smaller kids were getting hurt on the playground. Most preschools around here they have to be potty trained.

So then he was just pissed that I wouldn’t give him M&Ms lol. He kept saying “potty M&Ms!”

Wellll, 5 is a bit old to not be potty trained at all - barring any neurological delays, of course. Like I said, I get it. But I don't like forcing a kid to potty train when they aren't interested in it yet. Especially when we are talking about 2 year olds.

It's only been in recent years that potty training has been pushed back though. The norm used to be that as soon as the child turned 2 you potty trained them. In H's case, he's been using the potty regularly since before he turned 2 so I don't really have an excuse. He'll do anything for treats. I was just enjoying being lazy. My MIL wanted to make him a shirt that said: Will perform for food. lol.

Or maybe I'm just projecting because neither of my kids have shown any interest in potty training at 2 years old. IDK. I don't really care what other people do.

I think we paid like $50 OOP for H's vasectomy. Snipitty snip, Mr. Tgrimes.

MH's insurance doesn't cover any of the vasectomy so it'd be $1000 for him. If I was just doing the tubal I believe it's covered 100% by my insurance since it's preventative care.
