Outside of my dad, the majority of the couples we know who have had a cheating situation it has been the women who cheated. I had one friend who had an open marriage. It didn’t work out and they divorced. After their court hearing for the divorce, they went out together for a drink and ended up remarried but in a closed marriage.
MH travels and to fun places where he could totally cheat but I’m going to believe he doesn’t. He better not because who wants to be a single mom of 4 and I’m keeping the beach house. He still won’t speak to my father and he says if the situation were reversed, he wouldn’t except my father to speak to him.

How did they not see 3 babies on the ultrasound? I read she never had one. But I also wonder how whoever delivered the first baby didn’t notice. I mean, lots of people were pushing on my belly after my deliveries. I worked with a woman who didn’t know she was having twins until the day they were born. That was in America in the 90’s but ultrasounds were still only for those with high risk or some other special concerns. |

H is all registered for K. We got to tour the school and meet some of the K teachers. They also had the kids open a milk carton on their own, since they will have to do that on their first day. I thought it was smart.

That's cute about the milk carton trtlcrzy ! Our registration is the 23rd; I believe they let the kids ride a school bus around the parking lot. #cheapthrills I have been having B go into his classroom on his own and put away his backpack, lunch, etc. this year. One, b/c I usually have C with me, and Two, b/c he's going to be expected to do it all himself next year. This seems to be a UO in our classroom; at orientation the teacher requested that Mom and Dad should say goodbye at the classroom door in the mornings, but most if not all other parents escort their child into the room and unpack their backpack. B asked me to come in the other day and I told him, "Honey, you're going to have to do it yourself next year, I want you to practice", and I got a death glare from another mom. Oops. |

My kids have been picking fights with each other since I picked them up from school. I am so glad I have work tonight.

The woman couldn't afford an ultrasound during her pregnancy. I think on the general board they were saying she probably had a home birth, as well.

That independence is so encouraged in our preschool. Coats, boots, snow pants, etc. I love it bc it helps me push it at home ( as I tend to be a do-er)

Yeah it's weird b/c his teacher is an older lady and is pretty..."firm" might be the word. I'm surprised that she puts up with it b/c she is very into K-prep in other ways. Maybe she's just decided it's not her hill? Different school, but I dropped B at the door of his room last year, too. Their backpacks and coats hung in the hall but they took their snack and lunch inside to their cubby. There were moms doing that, too. |

I stopped going into M’s class a couple years ago when she started the early 3 class. She’s always hung up her coat and put away her lunch by herself.
Maybe she’s embarrassed of me...

My in laws are out of town so we've been taking care of their cat and puppy. I volunteered to go tonight do I could have some alone time and A can put the kids to bed. I may be hanging out in their driveway so I can be sure they're in bed....
I'm in the driveway because I hate their cat.

Checking in. Today is my last in DC. Flying back midday tomorrow. It’s been fun but I have had a bad cold the whole trip with little to no voice. Because of that I haven’t been able to talk to C as much and I miss him terribly.
My friend that I am traveling with has been pretty understanding which is good. She’s usually a go out late every night person and I’m the only one she knows at this training so I felt bad that I can’t do that but she hasn’t been pressuring.
I have some thoughts on the cheating with a man thing. I had a conversation with a coworker last week about a reality show and she told me she does not think men can be bisexual but women can. If a man has sex with a man he is gay. But if a woman does she could be bi. I don’t follow at all and don’t get it. Thoughts? Either way I would be out the door but I don’t think I would be hurt more if it was a guy. I would be surprised though.
Also re: travel and cheating I had never really thought about it but when I’ve gone to large conferences I am shocked with the amount of married people cheating. It’s crazy! I have been hit on by several married men at these conferences. They don’t hide it and wear their rings. It’s like a known thing that this happens. Almost like “gay for the stay” in prison. It’s a travel only thing.
Dh says his travel is nothing like this. My dad who also works for the federal govt but a different branch says this is just how govt travel is. Yikes!

Guilty of helping j too much get his lunch put away. Sometimes I drop him at the playground and take his stuff in, sometimes he walks in and does it. I normally have N and just need to hurry us along. He is a good helper with other stuff during the day, so I'm sure he can handle it when I'm not there next year. The teachers expect a hello and check in from parents and kids, which is also why I'm always late for work. N still requires coat one spot, lunch elsewhere, water another spot, wash her hands, and then fill out a morning form..it is a guantlet.

She is pretty open minded and never has given an indication of homophobia. She was very close to our former coworker who was gay and had no issue with his sexuality. Total traffic chaos tonight. Took me 25 min to go 4 blocks so I had to park the car and walk a half mile to get the kids on time. Thankfully we live in the opposite direction, so then was just our regular commute by the time we got back to the car. An oil tanker tipped over and shutdown the entire half of the beltway, so no one could get out of VA, so no one could get from DC into VA either. J had 100 questions about how it happened and made me look it footage when we got home so he could visualize what happened..glad no fatalities or anything to have to discuss.

M’s school has the kids put things away themselves. In K3 they had to bring their snack and folder in to the class themselves, and this year we were told to not even step into the pod so the kids learn to put their things away themselves so they are comfortable when they have carpool drop off the following year. Funny that you got a judgy look flamingo. |

When I was at officer school people were having sex left and right. It was so gross--sex in the parking lot. There were a ton of young nurses there in their early 20s. Most of us in our later 20s+ were past that scene.
Now most of the courses I go to it's older, higher ranking people and it'd be really easy to cheat and I suppose some do, but I don't see it happening much.

Also, LOL to the boss saying his infection was from “licking a dirty spoon,” tgrimes . That’s the best he could come up with? His wife wasn't that bright so... But his motto was to only cheat with someone who was also married so they had just as much to lose as he did and to only cheat with someone in a different city so you'd never run into them. He literally had multiple girls in all of his regular locations. I don't get it because he was not very attractive. Ugly people need sex too. sorry, bad joke. |

Cheating sucks. I think, because of my past, my friends are probably more honest with me than others. Of my group of 5, 2 have cheated and 1 is in an open marriage. I think because women tend to have the 'emotional affair' as well as sex, they are longer term and eventually the truth comes out.
Men are generally in it for the sex.
Until you have to face the situation yourself, it's really hard to say what you would do. It's easy to say you'd leave immediately, but it isn't easy to actually do that.

Man, reading all the posts about how almost all men who travel cheat did not put me in a good place last night, given MH has been OOT for 2 months. I liked to think I can trust him, and hope I can, but at the same time, who the hell really knows, right?
