We arent moving in this weekend.. couch didnt come in and we couldnt get the final inspection scheduled. Trying not to be to upset. But every day I get more frustrated with my parents....

I am so glad it's Friday. I already told my boss I will be streaming the KState basketball game this afternoon, although we discussed going to a bar with a patio because it's supposed to be in the 60s today. I need to stop and get some groceries on the way home (if I get my list made out), but hopefully it's a quiet day.

FriYAY wahoo! So freaking glad it's almost the weekend. Work will be somewhat busy today but I think I can stay on top of it.
It's parents night out at TKD. Not sure what we're doing tonight but sex better be on the list.

Well internet isn't getting installed today. We're so far off the road it was going to take 8 hours... rescheduling for once we move in and the boys are at the sitters.

You’re so close peachsmama, I’m sorry for the delay but as soon as you move in none of this will matter anymore, if that makes sense  And we lived in our house in KS for almost two weeks with only lawn chairs and a blow-up bed...you can make it without the couch 😂 Once you get the certificate of occupancy I’d move in! |

B has school today and the sun is out 🙌🏻🙌🏻 I think we’ll go to Home Depot today and get stuff for the front porch pots and a couple replacement azaleas.

Our dr put in an early on referral for A due to his gross motor delay. Hoping to schedule something with them soon, curious to hear what they say (though I'm not overly concerned about it).

I'm at work. I have to finish an opinion I started yesterday. The 57 pages of equations and totals are taking longer than I thought they would. Hoping I can get it done by 10 and have an easy rest of the day.

So E seems to have a bit of an Oedipal complex right now and is infatuated with me. I need a break. There are some other issues that I really hope this is a phase. At least it's not jealousy of MH and just obsessed with me.

Thankfully I have something this weekend and next weekend that they will have some time together. Bonus is that they are doing the science fair project together on Saturday and I don't have to participate. But if I go in to his room in the morning we snuggle. He doesn't ask mh to do that, but they do snuggle on the couch. I think I'm going to have to set some privacy boundaries |

Up early to get the kids ready for picture day, drove them to school and then back home for the K open house. There is a french one Monday but realized there's a regular one today, so figure we need to go to this one too. I just registered him which was kind of anti climatic. Then going to work from home this afternoon. Hoping I like the school, weird to be in a k classroom for the first time since I was a teacher!

My sister left this morning and I dropped the kids off at school/daycare. I’m going to clean the house, do laundry, clean out the fridge, etc.
Super exciting day over here!

Also hi. Another day of back-to-back/overlapping meetings and I'm getting lots of last minute requests to jump on client calls. I'm sure I'll do some work over the weekend but I'm so excited to get out of here. I'm not used to being so in-demand and it's exhausting.
My oldest friend is allegedly coming to Chase's birthday party tomorrow. I haven't seen her since we randomly both went to Tanglewood on the same day, back when Colin was only 9 months old. I spent years always being the one to visit, call, etc., so I let it go. We were so close for over 20 years, had a few rough years, and have maintained a friendly but far less close relationship for the last 10 years or so. I'm trying not to get my hopes up in case she flakes, but it would be really nice.

I ended up scheduling the meeting with my bosses to finish writing my job description. I also plan to tell them how unhappy I am with this.
After the meeting I plan to set up a meeting with Boss C to tell him that I’m not happy and would like to go somewhere else.
Boss M1 basically shammed me in front of others for not knowing something. Sorry, you haven’t trained me on that dude. Can’t know about something if you don’t train me.

The week hasn’t been that bad, just ready for the weekend.
Does anyone have carpet knowledge? We are thinking about getting the carpet replaced in the house before we move in. Only the bedrooms have carpet. I know we have had a few people here that had carpet installed recently, so I thought this would be a good place to ask.
We have that shag type of carpet now. Don’t love it and I don’t want that basic type of carpet they stick in apartments. I’ve seen these woven looking type of carpets that I think look good. My mom and grandma are gifting us a robot vac when we move in, so I would like something low pile that the vac works on, too.

I think that’s true, but guessing it goes beyond just the snuggles Dude had a phase like this that was pretty short-lived. Always wanting to play with my hair, be touching me in some way at all times (like couldn’t be in the room without being on my lap or holding hands), compliments every time I came downstairs after getting ready, etc. I think to some extent, they are just “trying out” what they see WRT to romance and the woman in their life is the most obvious choice. |
