Morning! I’m sorry. peachsmama I know you are past ready to be in your own space. It will come soon enough. I agree that once the inspection is done, move in, couch or not. Oh I'm going to. A is the one that doesnt want to. He'll have to get over it. My dad keeps saying to just move in. Yea that's what I should do, piss off the inspector so it gets delayed even more 🤦♀️ What are they inspecting? How come you couldn't move everything in and not occupy? What would happen if you don't pass inspection? Fine? Kicked out? Told to fix something? We lived in our house for years before the city realized they didn't come back after our temporary occupancy permit was issued. Be sure to ask for a temp permit if there is anything they want you to fix. Basically move in and ask for forgiveness if they complain. "Oops"

I'm sorry peachsmama. I love my parents but I can't imagine both working and living with them. It'll all be over soon. It really wasnt bad until my dad hurt his hand. Now hes home. Literally, all the time. And hes helpless. I mean I have to button his shirts. Not because he can't. But because he wont try.

I'm sorry peachsmama. Soon...this will all be a blip on the radar. And you will be happy settled in your new house. chrisy01 I hope you get somewhere with the bosses today. joelies you are in high demand here too. Don't forget that! Lol. I am sure things will settle soon. Will they be hiring someone else to help you out...or will you forever be doing the job of 2 by yourself?

X has been saying many 4-6 word sentences this week! We haven’t even started ST yet, but I’m encouraged that he seems to be adding new words pretty much every day. There’s still this fluid babble conversation thing happening a lot, but more and more, it’s being replaced with intelligible language.

We lived in our house for years before the city realized they didn't come back after our temporary occupancy permit was issued. Be sure to ask for a temp permit if there is anything they want you to fix. Basically move in and ask for forgiveness if they complain. "Oops" This is the final. We have to wait on the water test results to come in to schedule the final. The plumber is calling to get results but apparently they're only in the office after noon (only 11 here) so we wait.. if those are good we can schedule the final. But they only do them Monday, Wednesday and Friday's. Just depends when they can get to us. If we dont pass the final its the builders issue to fix. But we should pass no issues. They did the Building inspection last week and went ahead and told us what would fail the final. So all that's been fixed. And we even had another electrical inspection because of an issue there. So passing isn't the problem, the just waiting on other results and getting on their calendar. Most of our stuff is there but we still have to get the boys mattresses and ours. I don't wanna move all my stuff and move in and them them throw a hissy fit and delay anything. I don't know what the penalty is but I'm just not going to find out.

Morning! Dh took today off work because it was “donuts with dad” in H’s class. After he did that he picked up S to take her with on errands. He called me a few minutes ago to scold me for sitting on the couch. I told him to buzz off. I need to go to Walmart to get my tire fixed, then to the mall to pick up some stuff at BBW. I need spring scents! This afternoon we are going to the zoo as a family. It might be a little wet there still, but that’s what rain boots are for, right?

lahdeedah we had carpet replaced before we sold our house, and I took a class on it in college (pretty thrilling, as you can imagine). Flamingo's Crash Course in Carpet: 1) Nylon is best for long-term wear (durability, cleaniblility, and resistance/how quickly it "springs" back when stepped on). Typically a bit more expensive than other options. 2) Polypropelene/olefin is good--not *as* good as nylon for wear--but very stain resistant and less $. If you go this route, don't go for the cheapest option or you risk that 'contractor grade' look/feel...get a mid-high grade. 3) I'd put polyester here...a notch below Poly/olefin but stain resistant and less $. Just not as good for long-term wear. Again, do not opt for cheapest. Sounds like you are wanting to avoid Frieze, and imo I'd avoid a Berber/loop pile...that is the kind where you get pulls that basically ruin it I would opt for a plush (velvety look, a bit more formal looking) or textured (more casual...usually a two-tone yarn, hides many sins). I do like the idea of a pattern, where you have cut and loop fibers, so there can be designs in the carpet--that sounds like what you're describing? It's still pretty flat/not super fluffy. They also are very good at 'hiding' wear and tear so that would be a good option, too. A nice pad can make less expensive carpet look, feel and wear better so do not skimp on that. We put polypropylene in our house in FL before we sold; it was somewhere in the middle price point and looked fantastic and felt great once it was down. We did go with an upgraded pad which I think helped a lot ,esp. since we had a concrete slab underneath. hope this helps, but LMK if you have any other questions!

Cadence was wiped out yesterday. As soon as she got in the car after school she said she was tired and ready for bed! She and I had a nice quiet evening while mh was at a friend's house, and after reading the first few pages of a book she was passed out.
No gymnastics tomorrow morning due to spring break, so I'm looking forward to sleeping in!

Sometimes. Thankfully I have something this weekend and next weekend that they will have some time together. Bonus is that they are doing the science fair project together on Saturday and I don't have to participate. But if I go in to his room in the morning we snuggle. He doesn't ask mh to do that, but they do snuggle on the couch. I think I'm going to have to set some privacy boundaries I guess I just thought the snuggly/wanting mom thing was normal? Evie's the same, but I'm fine with it. I'm the consistent schedule in her life, while H travels. I think we will always be closer since I'm ALWAYS there. Same

There’s still this fluid babble conversation thing happening a lot, but more and more, it’s being replaced with intelligible language. This just started for B about a month ago and it's so exciting! This morning, he picked up a book and "read" it to me. I almost cried. He went from nothing just a few months ago to a full on talker! I still have his evaluation scheduled for next week though, b/c I still don't think he's where he should be.

I need to vent over basically nothing and there’s so much going on with my closest people that I can’t vent there, so sorry in advance and please ignore.
Dd is finally fever free, so off course ds now has a fever. My h is away for the weekend, my parents have the flu, so no safety net there. If talked so much this week, that I feel like a therapist. Every thing needed adjustment, rearranging schedules of plans this week (I’m a routine girl...) and one of my favourite coworkers told me she’s leaving us today. I’m just so wiped out.

Josie is at school all day. This is the first time she’s gone for more than just the morning or the afternoon session. It’s definitely weird without her here. It will only be one or two times a week until the summer. Where I can fill my time with multiple things to do, I do think Charlie will miss his in the house playmate.

Vasectomy live blog:
After not discussing it for the last three -four months, I just asked Pete if May seemed like a good time to try to schedule it.
And, he snapped at me.

It’s not basically nothing, nam2013. Having your routine thrown off can really be hard if you have a high need for order. And illnesses have a tendency to do that, especially when they seem so constant. Try to squeeze in some time to relax, if you can. Hugs.

cagoldi, I assume you will be closed for business until he complies? peachsmama, I'm sorry. Hopefully you can get in next week. nam2013 I'm sorry your son is sick and your week has been a mess. Could he possibly have the flu from your parents? Do they do Tamiflu there?
