Thanks, guys. I feel bad complaining about ILs because they really are so nice and mean well. And we are lucky for their help. I think it's mostly me not speaking up and also after birth I tend to be on overprotective mode/crazy pills for awhile.
But my sister came the other day and was like, ok, what can I do, wash pump parts, change your sheets, oh and here are bagels I got you, etc. and it was just so nice. So I think I am just a lot more comfortable with my own fam.

Eames Don’t feel bad complaining! That’s what we are all here for! No one understands the love/hate relationship of family help after birth like this place. My ILs are great. But when they came to help last time, they were total opposite. Didn’t do anyyyything unless I specifically asked, which I was not that great at. I felt more like I was hosting them. Looking back, I’m sure they were just being careful not to overstep, but gosh it didn’t feel that way in the moment. I often went to my room to nurse and would just take a nap once baby fell asleep to avoid sitting on the couch chatting.

Well I am 40 weeks according to both of my due dates as of today! Baby seems cozy in there. Maybe the supermoon tonight will help coax her out haha

Well in case there was any doubt, I’m definitely pregnant. I teared up this morning when one of D1’s former teachers told me that she was leaving the school to pursue bigger and better things. We won’t even be at the school after August, but D1 just loves her so much. I had to walk away so I didn’t cry. My gosh.

I need to vent and be in my emotions here cuz MH doesn’t get it it’s not even worth it lol. A coworker is 4 weeks behind me. Perfect pregnancy no issues getting pregnant on her third kid. Just perfect perfect. I feel like I’m constantly being told how little testing she’s needing and how everything’s going great and I just want to scream yes I suck at this I know. So frustrating. I worried this was how it would be towards the end with both of us being pregnant.
I feel like it goes without saying clearly I’m so glad things are going good for her and no complications with the pregnancy and would never wish trouble TTC on someone but it’s jsut a constant like yup I suck yes I know this sucks yes another test. Etc.

Today is my last day of work! I'm getting induced on Sunday and pretty nervous about it 😬

I got two stretches of 3 hours sandwiching a few 1.5 hour feedings last night. I feel sort of human. We were at the pediatrician yesterday and he was up to 8lbs and 1 oz (7lbs 10oz at birth) so at least all the nursing is paying off. After being so concerned with DD gaining weight it's been nice to be more relaxed this time.

My type A, planning personality is not handling the unknowns of delivery very well. I saw one of my practice's OBs yesterday and he was very non-committal about everything, which I understand, but good God, this is fucking with my brain.
I'm measuring 40cms at almost 36 weeks. He questioned baby measuring large because I have basically no torso (although my ultrasound 2 weeks ago did have him at 6.1lbs already), but they won't schedule an induction for another few weeks. Which... I only have a few weeks left anyway, dude. I would feel infinitely better having something scheduled. I'm so tired. Everything hurts. I want to nest but the pressure on my pelvis is crazy - he just feels SO heavy.

lemondrop, the last month sucks. I would get so annoyed at people telling me to sleep while I could, etc. And asking if I'd given birth yet. Ugh. Hang in there!

orangehibiscus , this is why I prefer basically every single midwife at the practice instead, lol. Eames , for real, if one more person tells me to try to get more sleep, I'm going to lose it. I WOULD LOVE TO SLEEP. LOVE IT. Last night I went to bed at 9 and woke up at 10:30, 12, 1, 3, and 5. AFTER taking unisom. I don't know how you did this with 2! jewelsofthenile , I posted this on IG this morning, lol. Edit: WOW that was huge - putting it under a spoiler.

lemondrop I was just thinking this morning. I have been pregnant so long i dont remember what its like not being pregnant. I am spent this morning reassuring myself I will remember this is real labor when it comes and these are just some really uncomfortable BH.

I find myself insanely jealous of the people who find out they're pregnant at like, 16 weeks, lol. My H remains convinced that I'm going to go early and I keep telling him to shut it because if I don't I'm going to lose my mind. And then my little dude just stretched and kicked his little foot out and I love him. Stay in there for 8 more days so we can make it to 37 weeks, and then feel free to come on out, buddy.

I survived my first 12 hour day alone with the boys! DD went to daycare though, so Monday will be the real test, as she has her 2 year appt too. lol
Boys turned a week old Thursday. Craziness!! Definitely are fraternal, and we are noticing so many differences between them!
My first baby, my daughter, is 2 today! Which is so crazy and bittersweet. Unfortunately no fun birthday plans tomorrow, just appt with the tax accountant, and then stopping for dog food. I did tell her maybe we can run to Target or the mall for an Anna doll. Girlfriend is recently obsessed completely with Frozen. (We did celebrate her with a joint party with her cousins in January, and end of February H and I took her to celebrate at a train restaurant. It's just weird not actually having birthday plans on her actual date. There is cake in the fridge though, that MIL brought down with her earlier this week.)

grover Good for you! And don't feel bad about your DD. She's still too young to completely understand a birthday. My first solo day is Monday too. Not only is DH going to work but he has to leave early because it's an important work meeting in DC and he has to commute longer then normal. There will be lots of coffee

I think I moved weird in my sleep last night and now the one side of my incision hurts on the inside. I’m moving as slow today as I did when I first got home. So that’s frustrating. But I have my incision check on Monday and I’ll bring it up then. It comes and goes so I think it’s either from moving weird or overdoing it?

Guys I had my baby girl! She came friday just before dinner time. It was amazing and way more intense than my others. She really loved to just nurse or look around at me all last nught so I was exhausted but I just got 3 hours of straight sleep and am up nursing so I thought I would pop on here. I will write more about it all when I get a chance!

I had something similar happen when I slept on my side last week and it went away after a day. I know when I've overdone it now because I get sore when I sit down in the evening. It's hard because I'm finally starting to feel more normal but then when I try to do more normal things I regret it later. Time. Everything just needs time.
