I spent all day switching out H’s wardrobe. She’s been in 18-24months for a while now but she still fit in the occasional 12-18 so I hadnt made the switch. Well she must have just hit a growth spurt because noooothing was fitting. I went into my attic to get all the rest of the 18-24m clothes but it’s all summer clothing 😭 I found the 2t bucket thinking it would all be huge on her but it fits!! 😭 I keep thinking she’s such a peanut but maybe she’s not such a peanut afterall.

I had the opposite discovery yesterday. All of DD's 12-18m stuff is winter. And very very soon it will be like the surface of the sun here. Most of the pants are leggings, so those will be fine, but I anticipate converting a lot of long sleeves to short sleeves in my near future.

Our kids are still too young for silverware, right? I feel like I was too slow to introduce it with my other kids so I want to stay on top of it this time. Part of my problem is I am just so uptight about messes 🙈🙈 (I know, I know) I give him a fork or spoon now bc he whines if he doesn’t have one but big sister does 🙄 I hate messes too but I’m having to take deep breaths & let it go lol.

Liv is 30", just under 20#, and has 8 teeth. She barely gained any weight in 3 months. It's slightly terrifying. My ped was not concerned at all but I am. She's meeting all the other milestones though. Tell me it's all OK. It’s OK!! My oldest gained basically nothing from 9-12mo. Then she had a huge growth spurt between 12-18.

I’m so behind on these replies lol sorry guys.
It’s been a busy February & I’m a little shocked it’s march already. We are waiting for H’s orders & they’re already 2 weeks delayed which is annoying. Nothing like sitting around waiting to find out if/when you’re moving & where to lol. So that’s been stressful.
S is doing great— I feel like he grew up SO much in Feb. He will be 14mo next week. He plays really well with big sister C & is starting to enjoy things like puzzles & toys that require “thinking” lol. He will play catch & likes to build blocks with sis. Still not walking on his own but cruises around just fine. He says mama, dada, banana, & all done. He is soooo chatty & so snuggly.
We have avoided illness so far this season but about 10 days ago I noticed he was having labored breathing so we went to the ER & he ended up staying the night. :/ diagnosis was reactive airway disease likely due to the high pollen in our area right now + a little cold that hung around too long. so right now we are dealing with the remains of a nasty chest cough which is not fun. I’m trying to kick it out before it becomes something worse.

I also went through his wardrobe recently too & got rid of all the 12-18. He wears mostly 24 & a few 2T 😭😭😭 The weirdest was with big sis though, we bought a new swimsuit for her from the KIDS SECTION at target. No way my almost 4yo is already wearing kids sizes!!!

I'm doing everything except working on grading this morning. DS2 and I both have annoying colds. I'm not miserable but just enough to be annoyed by it. Someone asked me if I was enjoying my relaxing spring break. Uhhh... I don't get time off, I still have grading. Although somewhere warm sounds amazing right now!

If it makes you feel better I found all our 2T stuff shrunk a fair bit!!! Liv is wearing some of it now too. Thankfully I bought my big kid a ton of leggings... Those are easy to wear big since they're tight fitting.

I need to get out the next size up for DD2. She still has some 6/12 mo that fit (mostly sleeveless tops) but is in 12/18 mainly with some of that tight. I keep buying stuff for her instead of finding where I put DD1's clothes from that size. I really just need to stop being lazy and do it.

jessijean they changed our forecast to 4 inches followed by freezing rain. I'll be up with wine in about 4 hours. I'll bring extra in case they close 35 again 😂😂

Hi guys! Things have been busy lately so I haven’t been checking in as much. The girls are finally starting to really play together and it’s so cute. DD2 is 2.5 and she’s been obsessing with Toy Story lately DD2 is 1 and loves this big whistle. She is so proud of herself when she is marching about making noise.

Day late with pictures, but so it goes. Baby shark with Papa's headphones. A glimmer of my happy girl when the Tylenol kicked in.

Killing time before my dentist check up. Winter Storm Watch has been issued for Saturday, shocker. What time should I expect you, peachesncream?

I found out today that my back molar is cracking. He said we could cap it but it's not a guarantee that the nerve would live and it could fail so he suggested having it pulled. The price difference and risk of needing it removed anyway had me opt for extraction. Well....now one of my friends is freaking me out saying my other teeth with change too much, it will change my bite and just cause a lot of issues down the road with other teeth. Dentist said they would watch to make sure the top one didn't start moving down but not much about other shifting. I spent $$$ on braces in college so I'd really hate to majorly F up my smile.
Any experience or opinions? We are talking a $1,000 price difference. I handled my wisdom teeth extraction with no issue so I'm not concerned about the procedure at all.

We’re supposed to have Ds2’s rescheduled birthday party tomorrow. My stomach is weird today and I can’t figure out if it’s my anxiety or something g else. I so don’t want to reschedule again.

jessijean, is your friend a dentist or in the field? Otherwise, I would hold off on worrying too much. (just trying to help you feel better!)

jessijean my husband had a back molar removed for the same reason. He hasn't seen any problems. That was like, 7 years ago.

Nuts. And she’s still puking. ☹️ I think I’d forgotten how babies give NO WARNING when they’re about to throw up. Not even a cough or gag or anything. Just sudden explosion.

Sorry for all those with sick kids. I hate stomach bug season. I’m constantly reminding DS1 to wash his hands.
