Wow, my 3.5 year old is in 3t pants but most brands fall off his waist. He needs 3t for length though. The 2t shorts still fit fine.

Thank you!! E was such a BIG kid. Still is at 3.25 she's wearing Sz 4/5 pants and 5T tops Sz 9.5 shoes. So it's hard to wrap my head around it! this is exactly us too. My 3.75yr old is in 5t and has been since the fall, and is in 10-11 shoes. H is such a peanut compared to her and it’s hard to not worry about the size differences haha. So I totally get it! This helps so much. Thank you!! ♥️

DD is keeping us on our toes. We had some people out working on our AC today, which meant that people were walking through the play room. I had to entertain her downstairs and I'm exhausted. I have a random question. Does anyone have favorite toddler socks? I haven't bought any since her newborn socks, which worked for a long time because of her small feet. Looking for some that are on the thinner side so she's not too warm in the Texas summer, but she needs them in her shoes. My mom bought us the boy version of these: m.boden.co.uk/baby-accessories/socks/c0311-mul/baby-strawberries-7-pack-sock-boxThey are awesome! He’s been wearing them since early fall and they still look brand new. Aren’t too thick, they don’t fall off and are super cute.

H has his first hair cut today, I’m pretty excited. Then out for a late brunch with 2 of my brothers and their families.

They’re nice and thin but stay on the feet. I also looooove gap socks but those are definitely thicker

Liv is 30", just under 20#, and has 8 teeth. She barely gained any weight in 3 months. It's slightly terrifying. My ped was not concerned at all but I am. She's meeting all the other milestones though. Tell me it's all OK. I wouldn’t worry until the pedi is worried.

it’s all normal! H also barely gained any weight (she did grow in height a little... I can’t remember her stats tho) but her Dr wasn’t even slightly concerned. I asked if it was ok and he said it’s completely normal. As long as she’s meeting other milestones I wouldn’t worry about it Thank you!! E was such a BIG kid. Still is at 3.25 she's wearing Sz 4/5 pants and 5T tops Sz 9.5 shoes. So it's hard to wrap my head around it! G is in 5T pants and tops for the length. They are so big on the waste. She hasn’t been weighed or anything since last summer but she was 38in and 32lbs so I totally get it. At this age she was in 24m clothes. Ian is still solidly in 18m and even some of them are a tiny bit long.

Where are you guys buying your kids clothes (older and JF18)? With gymboree /crazy 8 going out of biz the market for kids clothes is getting smaller- and more expensive! I don't love much of what's out there for kids.

I have been loving old navy lately, both for me and the girls. And I also tend to buy stuff 2nd hand on kidizen or eBay. I’ve been able to find a lot of Gymboree almost brand new for a fraction of the price

My sister and parents are OTT, and since I've started sewing again, I haven't bought anything but fabric.

The entire outfit she is wearing today is cat and jack. I also like children’s place but I have to size up because they run small.

sunfrogger I've always been pretty Kohls loyal. Jumping Bean stuff lasts great (I can't think of anything I've had to get rid of for wear and tear and most pieces have been through 2 or 3 girls already), fits well, and it is dirt cheap. Their deals on Carters brand are usually better than the actual Carters store, too.

NYC schools are closed tomorrow because we are getting 6 inches of snow. It’s annoying but I get it. Maybe I will take G out to play in the snow tomorrow.

We do a lot of Target, Carter's, and Baby Gap too. Some Hanna as well occasionally. Amazon also has a lot of options!

I'm so sick of winter. School is closed, again, and another storm forecasted for this weekend.
I've been productive on everything this morning except work.

It’s super cold out. I am not digging it. The only positive is that my milk was fine to sit in the car while I went into the post office. 😂

We may get a foot of snow again this weekend. Does anyone want to come visit? I'll provide wine.

jessijean that's a big nope octopus GIF from me 😂 I think they switched our forecasted snow to freezing rain. We had J's ophthalmologist appointment today. She got a prescription for glasses so we have to go get those (any recommendations on a place to get glasses for a 13 month old?!). Then we will follow up in 3 months to discuss patching or surgery.

DS had his very 1st stomach bug this weekend so I got to deal with "real" throw up for the 1st time, lol. I felt so sad for him- he was so scared each time he threw up. Then our heat went out last night...of course on a night it was a windchill of negative 6.
I am hoping he is past the bug now and that we have HEAT tonight!

I think just south of Sioux Falls is where it will switch to rain. I'd even take freezing rain at this point! (You're in Iowa, right?)

First fever over here. Low grade, but just enough to make her super pathetic at times.
I did get a chance to actually get a few things done around the house including washing her 18 month clothes on my unplanned day off.

Sorry everyone has been sick! At least one of the kids in our house has been a boogery mess for as long as I can remember. And also over winter. We usually have a few token warm days during the winter, but our area hasn’t seen a temp over 60 degrees since Dec 1. And the amount of snow this year is unreal. sunfrogger my pedi says gains are gains at this age. As long as milestones are being met and growth is happening there is nothing to worry about. Arden will be 14 months in 6 days, and I think we’re almost 18 pounds! Ha. She’s still wearing 6-12 month clothes, but the leggings are starting to get a bit short. DD1 was always 50th percentile, DD2 started off small then had a huge jump between 15-18 months. But DD3 is a giant. She’s also 3.5 wearing a 5, and honestly the Carters pajamas almost look like she could wear a 6. Her and DD4 are like polar opposites.
