Scheduling fail. I need to reschedule DD’s 15m next week because DH is getting his wisdom teeth out and DS has his yearly dermatology appointment. I predict her appointment will now not be until...April. We don't even have a 15 month here... do you get shots at 15m in your province? Yes varicella. Our only appt before 2 that they don’t get a shot is 9m.

I’m sorry about your hand quinn , but that sounds like a great idea! I actually got DD1 a cookbook and knives for her bday, we need to look through it and pick out a recipe for this weekend. We did the same thing for ds1 for Christmas. The cookbook was a kid’s one from Good Housekeeping and when we were looking through it, Ds1 proclaimed that everything looked “icky”. He’s in a super picky eating phase so I thought this would help but he doesn’t even want to try any of the recipes 🙄 LOL sounds about right. Kids, man.

We were supposed to get another 6" of snow last night but as the weather person put it a "doughnut of dry air" popped up over us and we only got about 1". The roads were still shitty this morning but much better than if we got 6". We are already close to having the most snow since 1881. Ugh. I am SO over it. We are going to Florida in 2 weeks and it can't come soon enough. I have been working on this post for over an hour. A bunch of work stuff just came crashing down on my head. I need a drink already. ... we are going to FL in 2 weeks ... I have a meeting in Orlando and then we are taking the kids to Disney/Universal for a few days after. Where are you going? I think I remember you talking about a beach vacation, so probably not Orlando. Haha.

We have the 15 month well visit today as well, plus DD's 5 year visit. I think DD2 gets a couple shots. I should probably bring snacks. I am very curious to see where both kids' height and weight are. DD1 is still super tall. DD2 is still a chunk, LOL.

... we are going to FL in 2 weeks ... Look at roloma just slowly acquiring vacationing N17ers. I like hoard BMB meet ups, you should already know this I have had 3 so far with D15ers. Now I need to start with N17ers! (it helps that I travel for work frequently)

I hope we can make a meet up happen if May if you decide to come to the tulip festival.

So yeah DD1 is 96% for height.
DD2 is 94% for weight and 59 for height.🤣🤣🤣 the disparity got worse... I’m hoping the new walking will help even if out lol. The chunk is adorable though.

I haven’t had a period in months but I think I’m getting one. That explains the intense hunger I have had the last couple days.

Mom guilt in full force today. I’m on school break and trying to run every day. It’s too icy to head out with the stroller today, so I went to the gym. The babysitting room is only open 8:30-12:30, and E usually naps 9:30-11:30, so I knew I was taking a risk, but I wanted to try. We got there at 9, and she apparently cried the whole time. I turned to look in the room about 2.5 miles into my run, and a random mom was consoling her. I went and got her right away, but i felt so bad. I try to make running a priority, and it usually doesn’t impact E too much, but today, I probably should’ve just stayed home. She’s fine and i know it’s not a huge deal, but I did feel like a bad mom.

But a) I dont go to the gym (none of them except the Y has childcare) and b) I don't run.

At ds1's therapy appointment. He's pretty convinced that he only needs to stay for a few minutes but he's beenhere longer than that so far 🤞🤞🤞
Having my mom come over to hang with ds2 was both great and not great. Ds1 wanted to stay and play with her instead of coming here. But I am enjoying some alone time lmao.

bethkate don’t they have childcare workers there? Why was a random mom consoling her? At our Y they will call you/come get you if your kid is crying for more than 10 minutes. Honestly I’m kind of side-eyeing whoever was watching her, I don’t think you should feel guilty at all.

bethkate try not to feel guilty. I am sure that she was fine. Crying = snuggles. I'd be weirded out by some random mom snuggling my kid though. That would definitely be a conversation with the childcare workers.

I have done this too, tried to cram in or finish a workout while one of my kids lost their shit. My physical and mental health is important too. Yours is important. A few minutes of tears while you finish up won't be the end of the world. Just use it to your advantage to get yourself a snuggle nap for comfort cuddles afterwards.

Yeah, there was one woman there, but there were a lot of kids, so I guess she just accepted the help. It was definitely weird. It’s not a staff member I’ve seen there before, so maybe she’s not in there often. Then again, this is the first time we’ve gone on a weekday morning. Last time E was crying, they came to get me after a few minutes, so I was surprised they didn’t this time. Hopefully it doesn’t keep happening because i really want to be able to use the babysitting on days I can’t run outside.

I mean it was nice of that woman to help out, even if a little odd. I totally get where you’re coming from though and I hope things go much more smoothly in the future.

But you shouldn't feel bad for trying. Babies are unpredictable, and you need that time to yourself.

I'm heading out to visit my sister for my niece's 1st birthday party after work today. I was hoping to sneak out early but we had a sick call so I'm not sure if it can. I haven't fully packed yet and it's a 4hr drive... I am definitely side-eyeing my yesterday self for not packing lol

This is also a reminder to me that I need to start using the yoga pass I bought in January...

TGIF, I really thought today was Saturday, my days have been messed up all week. Currently sitting at our other location waiting for my coworker to get here so we can look at desks. She wants a new one but they won't buy it since we have a building full of furniture up for grabs. Hopefully she finds something that will work. Have a great day everyone!
