These last few days I have found it hard to do the challenge well. I'm incredibly busy with work and finding it hard to fit in my stretching, and I've been doing worse than I'd like with nutrition. Each day I keep saying the tomorrow will be better, but I just can't make it happen. Woof.

Hi guys- hope everyone is rocking this challenge. I think of you guys almost every day even if I'm absent. I haven't even been lurking since I have to click one more button to get here. Two questions: yoginikiki , can you please quote this and give me your link for those stretches. I've lost them again and have no idea how. GhoatMonket , which protein shake did you recommend to - I think - Angel? Thanks both! Per my new normal, I'm swamped at work and hating it. I'm taking small steps- at the moment- to eventually make big changes, work, life, etc. so hopefully I'll be able to manage life/ work/ activities better. Give yourself some time to adjust and be kind to yourself!

Focus on what gets in your way...develop awareness of your barriers....and remember it is about progress from baseline not perfection!!!

Good morning! I did my first real workout since the ankle sprain. I went to hot yoga. I was far from being able to do everything but I was pleasantly surprised at what I could do. Plus I feel better just having gone.
My super fit yoga friend suggested that I just do all of my planks and chaturangas (spelling?) one footed until I recover. It's that attitude that makes her more fit than I.

thisbitch (or anyone else who'd like to chime in) since we were talking about swimming yesterday. I called my gym about adding the pool onto my membership. I can add it through the rest of the summer semester (would take me to 37 weeks) for super cheap or add it through the end of the fall semester for about $30 more. It's not a lot either way, but in your opinion, would it be worth having the pool to come back to once I'm cleared to exercise again? Or am I being too optimistic in my thinking?

gingy, tough call. I personally only swim during the warm months because I hate getting in and out of the pool when it's cool/cold. But I know other people swim year round. For me, it probably wouldn't get used post-baby, but if you don't mind cool weather swimming, it's a great way to no impact jump start your workout. And I love that it's a good an workout without actually do "abs".

I hadn't thought about weather then. I will have the option to add it at any time, so maybe I'll just play it by ear.

I've accepted the fact that I will be in survival mode until the move is over. I strive on routine but right now with random showings for the house, I never know how my days and nights will look. I'm trying to be easy on myself and focusing on exercise and hydration goals for the remainder of the challenge.

I did yoga again this morning- the yin class. I haven't been doing it because I had started TRX. I enjoyed it, although this particular teacher really likes the HOT in hot yoga. I feel so much better when I exercise. It's amazing. I don't usually notice because I exercise regularly but a break makes the difference noticeable.
I also made a super delicious and compliant lunch that I hadn't planned and had never made before, so that's going in the repertoire.

Has anyone used Plexus products? I commented on a post somewhere else not realizing they were direct sell/MLM. My night sweats are TERRIBLE and they have a vitamin product that allegedly helps. I kinda feel like there's nothing to lose, but the MLM companies are so....aggressive...that I'm almost hesitant to even buy anything.

I really liked swimming. It was a positive exercise after my first because my joints etc. were still really loosy goosy for awhile after birth (like....a year) I also liked the lack of impact and how I felt "light" in the water. I was a baby wearer...so that might have factored into the whole liking to not feel so heavy for a second

I have completely been sucking up the WLC and haven't been to this thread and weeks, but since tomorrow is the first day of the month, I'm going to try to reset and see if I can at least show up for the last part of the challenge.

Im looking forward to this week's lifestyle challenge. Ridding myself of clutter always makes me feel more organized. I'm going to use the opportunity to go through my clothes and kitchen

Hi guys. I've been struggling with the challenge, too. Interestingly, not with my motivation or desire, but more with implementation while we've been traveling so much. Also, I truly could have made better choices but chose not to always. Which is another point- usually travel is special so allowing myself a few treats on the road is ok, but at the level we've been traveling, it isn't sustainable. I'm going to end the challenge with a net weight gain and I don't feel good- I'm super bloated from all of the indulgences.
Anyway, now I'm home and my IL are in town for the holiday weekend, which means good (compliant) food but also wine and cocktails.

I've been purging things left and right, so this week's challenge fits right in for me! Yes! I've had a list in my head of stuff I've been wanting to get rid of (clearly the challenge 2 weeks ago was not my thing).

I'm at a point where I really haven't even been trying with nutrition. We go out to eat and I don't even think about ordering something compliant.
I will give credit to the challenge for helping me keep up with exercise. It would be so much easier to come home from work and plant myself on the couch. I think it will be no problem to continue this after the challenge ends because people at the gym have been so encouraging lately. My barre instructor makes a point every week to say something to me. And a student at spin this week told me she hopes she's as active as I am when she's pregnant.

I started today trying to figure out what I was going to toss. Then I decided I was going to start moving some of DS's stuff to the basement so we can reclaim the living room as an adult area.
And hour later and I filled the recycle can twice and have about 3/4 of DS's stuff out of the room and some extra stuff from his room.
It's all in a massive pile in the basement, but baby steps.

I'm also not even trying. I mean, my meals have been compliant since I got home, but wine. Also, my exercise options are very limited with my ankle. My mind is elsewhere. I haven't tried to stretch. I keep telling myself that when my ILs are gone and my schedule goes back to normal, I can do better.
