So the person who's job I am working left for a promotion to another park. But her H still works here and lives here. So she was in town over the weekend but was working some overtime to help me with some budget reports since as a temporary person I do not have access to everything I need to compile the reports that are due this week. So she came in to use my office (which is her old office). I think the world of this person. She is super kind and genuinely a good person. But I had a thing of lotion that I brought back from Fiji that I had sitting right next to the computer. I use it everyday. It is suddenly gone. I know she had to have taken it because she is the only person who was in here. It is just weird to me. I don't care that much. It wasn't too expensive and I have another one at home. But I guess I just find it odd that she would take it because I would not have expected that from her. That is weird. Could it have been the cleaning people? Nope, no cleaning people.

First world problem: I waited to long to sign the boys up for next swim session. I'm going to have to come twice a week.. I'm so pissed at myself.

That is weird. Could it have been the cleaning people? Nope, no cleaning people. I would send her a quick email and just nonchalantly ask if she saw it while she was in. Say you think you missplaced it and can't remember where you left it...see if she admits to it. Petty AF here. Our cleaning crew stole some of the most random shit last week...a phone charger from one office, a scale from another. More traumatizing to me is the scale that was stolen, was used by one of our engineers to weigh his COFFEE. What kind of weirdo weighs their coffee??? Engineers, thats what kind.

Lord, my child. M is practicing strokes so I'm watching him and J is next to me, and a dad is next to him doing a rubrix cube. He completed, set it down and J immediately snatched it up and twisted it all around....

And school is cancelled. FX that daycare stays open - I can work with Colin home. The 2 together require constant supervision.

That is really odd lfig . What a weird thing to swipe. I like mwhip 's suggestion to send a casual email or text. That way if there IS a reasonable explanation you don't seem like a psycho, and/or maybe her conscience will bother her and she'll make up a story and get it back to you. Was anyone else there over the weekend who might have grabbed it? I agree though, she is the likely culprit.

We’re headed to the Rockets game. I’m hoping to get some food at the same place as last time before hand. Mainly for the wine flight. 😉

Whew, I'm beat. I feel like dinner tonight was the first time I've sat down all day.
So I took the meal to my MOPS acquaintance. Her little girls were adorable, and she was super appreciative. Meanwhile, her H did not say a single word. He was right there when I came in...No hi, thank-you, bye, nothing. It was so odd. I literally found myself wondering "did I do something wrong?" but hopefully he's just awkward.

tallb Boden update: the tops I ordered arrived. Maybe just the styles I chose, but both seemed to run a bit small. Their size-finder told me 6 (which is my normal size at places like BR, Ann Taylor and JCrew) but the Boden 6s are very snug. So I'm returning for 8's. Luckily they have free returns, since this stuff has to go back to the UK, lol. Just an FYI if you order in the future.

I hate sending stuff back if you have to pay...I have to drive to a Talbot's to return some stuff and it's driving me nuts and I refuse to pay the $8 shipping when there's a store 20 min away..

I hear you. And funny you say that, Talbots' shipping charges drive me bonkers. My mom and MIL both shop there so they're my go-to for gifts for them, but it's highway robbery compared to everyone else out there. I'd probably buy more for myself there but DNW to pay $9-13 to ship. Join us in the 21st century, Talbots!

I somehow ended up in their VIP Crew and I just did a survey about their Rewards program. They asked about free returns and I voted yes, lol. The free shipping is nice, though.
