Which closets should I do for our upstairs linen closet that we just installed?

I prefer the first ones, but I'm a little more minimalist in my design.

I prefer the first ones because i have the sliding ones in some of our bedrooms and I hate them. It's impossible to put anything big in them because the opening isn't very wide and to see anything hung up on the other side you ahve to slide the doors back over.

Another vote for #1. Easier to keep clean.

I was thinking that sliding doors are better as far as space is concerned, you couldn't put a dresser right beside the closet #1 if the door is going to hit it all the time. My Mom has those kind in her house and because they open up you have to make sure you furniture is placed properly to allow room to open the door and walk.
But then tgrimes raises a good point about the taking down of items.
So my answer is officially, it depends where your furniture is going to be
I'm super fun to do renos with.😉

How big is the closet? We will have a regular door on our linen closet because that is all that will fit. It's a narrow opening. H's bedroom has a closet door like this: [IMGhttp://www.homedepot.com/hdus/en_US/DTCCOMNEW/fetch/Category_Pages/Doors_and_Windows/Doors/Interior_Closet_Doors/bi-fold-door.jpg][/IMG]
Which I like because it doesn't take as much space as a regular closet door when opening, but you can see the whole interior of the closet.

It's the linen closet so it's in the upstairs hallway!

Our Contractor recommends against the bifold because they can break easier.

But if you don't want to go with those then I'd do 2 standard doors, not the sliding ones. The only concern with those is that people probably can't pass by if the door is open.

Like option 1. The sliding options fall off the tracks for me

#1, unicorn. I converted all of my closets to similar doors. It was the closet organization company I worked with's suggestion to best maximize space.

MH painted O's room while we were away. We ended up going with the first option that I posted which had a little more teal in it. Here are the before and after pics. Note: the original wall color was a lot darker than in these pics. There was really only one time of day where it looked this light, the rest of the day it was super dark. Note 2: now I need help with curtains. I'm thinking white with some color pattern on them but really I have no clue. Help! Before: After: We obviously need to finish decorating.
