Good morning. I have back to back meetings starting at 9:30 so it will be a busy day.
I wanted to get your opinion on TBall/Baseball. Tball here is 4-6 and Baseball Minors A is 5-7. C qualifies for both. Last year he was a bit of a mess at Tball, more so because I think he was bored. I wonder if we should go for Minors so he is with kids his age since he will be 5.5 when it starts. Thoughts? Registration begins today.

Well J no longer has a tube in his right ear. He just handed it to me... "this was stuck in my ear. I got it out. Here you go!"

Debating if I should take Charlie to the pediatrician. No fever, clear runny nose, and he’s eating, sleeping, and playing as normal. He does have a tiny dot like rash under his arms, a little on his chest, and behind his legs. He has such sensitive skin, and I don’t know if it’s related to his eczema or the potential for strep, so I am waiting on a call back to see what they think.

That’s tough, wedding. I think it would depend on what the expectation is for the different age groups. Do they expect the 5 to 7 yr old group to understand the rules of the game and to wait their turn patiently and know where to stand in the field and what not. Is T-ball more of a prep for that kind of thing?

wedding , that is tough. Can he hit a ball on his own? I'd lean towards the baseball, but I have no experience. But thank you that reminded me I wanted to sign L up for something like that this year! Yes.

We went to leave for school and C was running to grab his shoes and slipped in a giant puddle of dog puke. Ugh. Got him cleaned up and we ran out the door. Cleaned all that nastiness up and now A is eating my whole breakfast, that kid can eat.

I hate that. I think if C has the skill and the maturity I’d push him to 5 to 7.

mskatiep, I'm so excited baby will be here soon! Are you trying for a VBAC? I saw you said you have a CS scheduled.

Happy birthday, trtlcrzy! Any fun plans? Nope, just a regular day. I am going to stop at Starbucks for my birthday drink and at the local donut shop for my free donut after I drop H off at school.

Morning! I was up way too late last night. I’ve been watching the staircase documentary on Netflix and then realized I had the bachelor to watch so I turned that on forgetting that it’s 2 hrs long. I did fast forward through some of it. My children woke me up bright and early this morning, which was not the birthday present I wanted. After I drop H at school I plan to stop for coffee.

wedding I would sign him up for baseball. At that age it’s still pretty guided by coaches if it’s anything like my nephew’s team.

mskatiep, I'm so excited baby will be here soon! Are you trying for a VBAC? I saw you said you have a CS scheduled. VBAC was the original plan. Baby girl is not cooperating lol. She has 24 hrs to decide on her own 😍😍 So C/S tomorrow since 1. I'm over it, 2. baby is measuring big, 3. my placenta is aging.

Morning! wedding I’m having to decide that, too. One of the dad’s from tee ball already called MH a few weeks ago asking us to “keep the crew together”- meaning M would move up to play coach-pitched ball. I think he would do well hitting, but I’m not sure of their expectations defensively. I was leaning towards another tee ball year, but now I don’t know. Right now M is in the phase where he whines when he can’t do something and is a sore loser. I’m trying to work on it with him, but it’s proving to be hard. With Mh being gone, not sure how much time I’ll have to practice with him at home either. I just don’t want to do something that will kill his confidence if it is a little more skill-oriented and he doesn’t quite make the cut yet. I may go to the park the weekends that registration is going on to ask them about it and make my decision.

wedding 100% Minors. He does great with physical challenges and listens to coaches well, it’d be a great platform to learn baseball skills.

wedding, I would go for Baseball, which reminds me, I need to look at softball or tball for Cadence. She may tell me she just wants to sit in the stands and watch though.

lahdeedah, when Cadence does that I make a face and say, "oh, I don't want to play if you are going to act like that." We also do a thing (which mh started with her) that we congratulate the winner. If she wins we shake her hand and say, "good game, thanks for playing with me!" then when she loses she will still shake our hand and tell us good game. Lately, we are in high emotion land with crying at the drop of a hat, so there is more of option 1, than option 2 where I say I don't want to play if she is going to be upset. Mh told me I'm supposed to let her win, but eff that, if she wants to ask if my person has pink lips in Guess Who, that's her problem. (they all have pink lips)
