lahdeedah, when Cadence does that I make a face and say, "oh, I don't want to play if you are going to act like that." We also do a thing (which mh started with her) that we congratulate the winner. If she wins we shake her hand and say, "good game, thanks for playing with me!" then when she loses she will still shake our hand and tell us good game. Lately, we are in high emotion land with crying at the drop of a hat, so there is more of option 1, than option 2 where I say I don't want to play if she is going to be upset. Mh told me I'm supposed to let her win, but eff that, if she wants to ask if my person has pink lips in Guess Who, that's her problem. (they all have pink lips) I do this, too. Well any time he starts to whine or get mad about losing, I just turn off the game, or tell him ok game over because you don’t know how to act. Pretty cut and dry. I like the bit about congratulating the winner- I’ll use that now. |

lahdeedah I like @klongoria’s method of congratulating and shaking hands! My nephew is 11, and he is a terrible sore loser. He is very hard on himself if he doesn’t win and takes his frustrations and anger too far. He will throw things down and be really disrespectful to the adults and other kids around. Full on meltdowns. So my point to this...is I’m glad you’re noticing it now and trying to squash it now, not when he’s 11. My sister and her in laws have coddled my nephew and told him how perfect/great he is at everything and they let him win at everything and make everything a “game” letting him win. And I wholeheartedly believe that is why he is the way he is.

Oh yay! Baby day tomorrow mskatiep!!! I came back just in time!  So exciting! I’m sorry xolastunicornxo think of you guys!! We have just been dealing with that too lahdeedah! The pouting and whining at losing. 😩 We’ve been trying to play different games at home to show him the ‘losers’ can be happy for the winners. And it’s okay to lose. It seems to be helping some. Could help him see that on the ball field too |

YOu could also try games like Count Your Chickens and Hoot Owl Hoot where the players actually work together, so you win as a team.

I’m back after my leave of absence 🤗😬
MH just left yesterday. I could probably count on one hand the amount of times I’ve cried when he has left over the past 9 years.... and I cried. Being down here on my own is definitely why. I really don’t have real, real friends yet, which sucks. My neighbors are nice but they have their clique already... so yeah.
We have set a time FOR REAL this time for MH to quit his job. 😂 He will go back one more time after this rotation... so he should be home for good around August. I legit can’t do it anymore so he has to quit wether he changes his mind or not. I will actually lose my mind.

Morning.
SSDD over here, just at work. I've got a lot on my plate right now, but dont have a plan yet to get it all done. i should be doing that...
MH and I are not meshing/working well together lately, we're totally outta step from each other and it's going on 2 weeks now. It's got to turn around cause it's getting annoying to be around.
