He is very hard on himself if he doesn’t win and takes his frustrations and anger too far. He will throw things down and be really disrespectful to the adults and other kids around. Full on meltdowns. So my point to this...is I’m glad you’re noticing it now and trying to squash it now, not when he’s 11. My sister and her in laws have coddled my nephew and told him how perfect/great he is at everything and they let him win at everything and make everything a “game” letting him win. And I wholeheartedly believe that is why he is the way he is.

Yikes. That is not something I would like to be dealing with. Not cool. I played sports most of my life and because of Mh’s job, some of my life is still revolves around athletics. Losing is a part of life. It sucks but you have to prepare your kids for how to deal when life hands them that card.

Drowning in life.

Therapy for X this morning, a million contracts to do at work, a yoga workout to fit in somewhere since my alarm didn’t go off, taking P to the pedi for a suspected sinus infection this afternoon, and a team assignment due.

So I’ll be up until midnight, probably.

Seriously! A just ate a handful of beans, banana, watermelon, sweet potato and like half an avocado. Now he's working on some cheerios.

The kids and I just went to our brand new Aldi that just opened. It was amazing... until I got to checkout and realized my wallet was in the car. I was soooo tempted to leave all the kids in the cart in the store and run and get it!

Sitting in the Starbucks parking lot enjoying a latte while the kids polish off some cake pops.

The pediatricians’ office wasn’t busy, and we were in and out in no time. Unfortunately, they diagnosed Charlie with a sinus infection, so he is on azithromycin for the next 5 days. Poor kid— that stuff tastes awful!

tgrimes I’m having to do a lot of that lately, my sister is thinking about TTC, and even though she’s 30 she has her mind made up that having a kid isn’t going to change her life like it did mine. And that includes 5 hour car rides a week from her hypothetical due date and staying in Africa for three months with a 2mo... because you know, no ones lifestyle has been altered after having a baby 😂😂😂.

Hiiiiii sands42 you've been missed! WRT moving, we've been here a year and a half and it took me the better part of that time to kind of find my groove. I am much happier this year than I was a year ago. So basically, I sympathize, and I imagine it is all that much harder with your H's absences. I'm glad you have an 'end date', hopefully that will make these next few months a bit easier!

Sorry about the sinus infection, guster. Glad you took him. Our kids get them all the time and one of our telltale signs are dark circles and puffy eyes. Hope the meds work quickly for him.

Hi!

All you brave, brave families doing t-ball/baseball again. Part of my dislike (ok, most) was the team and league we were in, but man, I am so glad B jumped at golf when I gave him a choice for this spring. He showed some skill with tball so part of me feels a bit bad but I guess if he had really loved it he'd want to play again.

Busy morning here; took C out for a haircut and a Target run, then stopped to pick up my new sofa pillows that were ready. Now we're all home, C is napping and I'm going to let B watch a movie and hopefully put my feet up for a minute.

Interesting. I have noticed that Charlie’s eyes have been puffier, but I thought he might not of been sleeping as well as I thought because his nose was s mess.
