I keep most of the stuff that comes home from school. The one time I tried to toss stuff, Dude found it and cried about how “they were so special to me, and I worked really hard!”
I felt terrible.

I only keep artwork that has their hands or feet on it. M has some good coloring pages on the fridge so I might keep one or two of those, but I don't want to keep all of that crap.

Sorry your back is still giving you trouble, nam2013 . How’s M today, tgrimes ? FX you can get some good rest, chrisy01 . She perked up around lunch time yesterday. I emailed her pedi to see if she can get me into a new GI faster than I can. I just don't think this is normal anymore. Especially after I increased her miralax dosage and she's been going a lot every day. Is it possible she just caught a little bug? Yes. Do I think she caught 3 in 2 weeks? Nope.

We bring everything home that B does at OSC, he takes it to his desk. His desk area gets cleaned every Sunday cleaning day or by Monday night the latest, since garbage day is Tuesday; he can then decide what he keeps, throws out or transfers to the Art bin we have downstairs as part of the Trofast storage in the play area, from there it's free to be cut, coloured, thrown out or whatever happens to it. He gets rid of a lot.
He wants to keep a beautiful cut out of a half drawn snowman that has crooked eyes that him and his friends PROMISE to finish? Sure kid, not my hill.
Special things I keep in a very large Rubbermaid in storage, I have one for each of them and randomly throw things in there.

I love Cadence's artwork. There is an obvious progression going on right now. Her and her little group of girlfriends spend all day drawing and coloring and I've seen great improvement in her ability to draw various things and she is finally coloring inside the lines.

I am purging preschool art. Keeping some, of course, but each kid is getting one box and that’s it. Otherwise we’d drown in glitter, paint and handprint art. I try to throw most away within a day or two. Some things I do keep, but most is immediate toss, but I have to make sure I hide it from M because he has been known to see things in the trash and take it out. Lol. The other day he came home and took everything out of his folder and taped them to the wall in the play room. It was random let Y and number 14 worksheets and an igloo and snow owl. Of course I couldn’t just rip those down and throw away. 🤦🏽♀️ Haha! He’s onto you... It was manageable amounts when B just went a couple days a week, not now with both of them in school it’s a lot. I really like how our school in Jax approached it; they warned parents on the front end that they wouldn’t send home ‘tons’ and at year end each child received a collection of their artwork (of course it had been displayed in the room so you could see it along and along). But it was bound neatly and manageable, so you got a sampling, it’s a great keepsake, and it’s neat and tidy. Two thumbs up.

Yesterday I folded all of MH's shirts the konmari way so he could see everything. I'm tired of folding and putting his clothes away only to seem the disheveled days later. I told him if it didn't stay like that I would murder him in his sleep.
I did M's jammies & leggings that way, too. She was so excited to help fold. Granted I had to refold everything she did, but maybe she'll be better about not dumping out her drawers.

I finished the marvelous mrs maisel. I haven't enjoyed a show that much in awhile. I loved it! I absolutely loved the first episode, but I am waiting for an uninterrupted chunk of time to watch all of it. Maybe this summer?

I really like the way they look in Josie‘s and Charlie‘s closets, but I fold downstairs in the laundry room (or more likely in the kitchen) and I can’t fold them Kon Mari style and transport them upstairs. So I find myself folding flat, and then modifying the fold so they can fit in the baskets in their closets. It does not spark joy.

I display whatever comes home for the day on a bulletin board until the next school day. If it’s something worth keeping (very few items) I transfer it upstairs to a container, otherwise it goes right into the trash. Oddly enough, a cat from before Halloween has been on the bulletin board since she brought it home. I like him there.

I guess I'll need to take it in their rooms to fold. Or maybe i could use a basket and put the folded laundry in there and then take it to their rooms. I did not think this far ahead...

vino Looks great! I think the slide outs make a huge difference. Just roomier, but I know it adds weight. We have been toying with the idea of doing our trip to Maine in one this year, so we can bring the dog and stretch it out.

mwhip I’m glad the furnace guys are on it so quick! vino and dapostrophe I support your love of camping! And just in case you didn’t know I just so happen to manage 19 campgrounds in a beautiful NP on 134 miles of 2 gorgeous free flowing rivers 😉... in case you’re ever looking for somewhere to take your new RV’s. Also vino - I am watching Days of our Lives for the first time in a LONG time. And I’m sooo lost. Jack is back from the dead. I need to google and catch up.

My dad is obsessed with RV shopping. He’s looking at 5th wheel campers. Which he will need a new truck for. He wants to sell their house that they built 9 years ago that was supposed to be their forever/retirement home. Then buy something smaller/cheaper so they can travel around the country for months at a time. Yet have someplace to come home to. My mom is....not sold on this idea. But he’s obsessed and wearing her down on the idea.

I’m with tgrimes and only save school work with hands and feet on it for the most part. I have a bin for each kid but most stuff gets trashed. I’m less sentimental with each kid. I’ve been super lazy today. Watched one episode of Tidying Up and then tossed most of my Rubbermaid containers and tons of water bottles. Can’t do my clothes yet because I need to see what size I will be when all is said and done with weaning. C is taking an amazing nap right now but I have to pick up the kids soon.

Oof. Monday. Hi.... I’m having a day.
Daycare called before lunch to tell me h needed to be picked up for biting. He broke skin, so policy is to be sent home.
Then my sister told me n had a breakdown at preschool because they talked about having to sing at luncheon in 2 months. She’s terrified.
So now I’m working from home while h is screaming in his room. He’s currently in his bed, shirtless (?) and crying for me. It was easier when he was just yelling and banging on the door.
I’m not feeling like an A+ mom right not...
