Guess whose kid decided to wear different shoes today both for the left foot? My kid! I discovered it when we got to school. If they weren’t both left shoes I would have just let it go. He said he couldn’t find the other shoes which were right next to the ones he grabbed.

Thank goodness I wasn’t going to work today or I would be late.

My back is still killing me 😖. Ds had his first swim class today, he was so determined and concentrated, it was adorable. He’s currently conked out on the couch. Dh is baking pancakes for the kids and I picked up a chicken marinated in Moroccan spices, yum!

The weekend was good, B had a great time at Baba's house and had a play date with a family in the neighbourhood, even had them over at my Mom's house to play after they went out tobogganing. We spent the afternoon at the RV show so naturally I'll be obsessing over trailers online today at work.

Sorry job, I'm busy planning my future outings.

Of course the big meeting this afternoon was cancelled due to the snow in DC. I am annoyed I didn't take my mental health day but I will try and leave early later this week to catch a rest. I'm not sleeping well at all lately and am so so tired.

Hi ladies. My girls' new obsession is Beetlejuice. They fell asleep listening to Day-O last night.

I had taken a break from The Haunting of Hill House and got back at it this week. So good. Only 2 episodes left. I finished Schitt'$ Creek and it's excellent. Funny with a surprising amount of heart.

I came into work b/c I had a few "must do" projects to get done. MH is home with a still sick S who seems fine each day till between 3 & 4 when he starts getting sick again. I'm heading home in a few to relieve MH who is always way too busy to stay home w/ the kids, and take him in to a dr appt. Unfortunately the appt is at 2:15 so I fear he will be perfectly healthy then.

Oh and the rash came back last night again so it is definitely related to the fever and not an allergy. So weird.

Hi! Today at 4 i meet with the HR person at the district to find out what salary step they will offer me. I’m praying that it’s comparable to my experience.

Then tomorrow we leave for vacation. 9 days in paradise! Cannot wait.

Random question: those of you in cold/dry climates, do you change up your skincare routine in winter? Heavier moisturizer and/or some other magic step?

I like my nighttime regimen but I think I might need something thicker/more moisturizing for day time now that it’s cold.

Morning. My children were up from 2-4am so I was too and I’m tired. After lunch it’s naps for everyone. H is at school and we need to leave shortly to pick her up.

100% have different creams for winter/summer.  I use a thicker cream, LUSH Skin Drink, for nighttime during the winter.  I also make sure that I'm taking Vitamins for the winter months, including Omega 3's for an inside out approach to skincare and health.

Exciting!  I love camping so much and have so many great childhood memories of going out on the weekends and a couple weeks at a time.  I can't wait to get out with the kids.  

We went yesterday to get a sense of what layouts we like, do we need a slideout?, etc.  I'm pretty sure we're settle on this layout, and maybe even this trailer

There are some models that dont have the wall/couch on the one side of the Queen bed to create that separation of bedroom/living area (LOL in what seems like 50 sq feet) , and I would totally be ok with it, but MH prefers the wall, so we'll see what is available at the time.

We are waiting for the final location of MH posting and tour plans before we decide on the 'when'.  If it were up to me, we would be buying this for this season.

I made it to work. They quoted $550 which is substantially less than other quotes and I've seen their work and trust them. We'll probably wait to do it until my in laws get back from vacation so we can stay at their house for a couple of days.

I try to throw most away within a day or two. Some things I do keep, but most is immediate toss, but I have to make sure I hide it from M because he has been known to see things in the trash and take it out. Lol.

The other day he came home and took everything out of his folder and taped them to the wall in the play room. It was random let Y and number 14 worksheets and an igloo and snow owl. Of course I couldn’t just rip those down and throw away. 🤦🏽‍♀️

M always catches me when I've put art work in the recycle bin.  I usually blame it on H.

I keep all of Cadence's things. I still have all of the daily sheets from when she was in the infant class. One day I may sort it all, but for now I just put them in the container in my closet.

E doesnt do much at preschool that i keep
..like, its just coloring pages and random shit cut out and glued together. I save the entire weeks worth, then put it in a trash bag right before i put it in the trash can. Kid catches me everytime and gets upset I throw it away. I do have a notebook with all the cute stuff she has made.

Lo’s school does a binder at the end of the year with photos of class things and photos of each official art project throughout the year. God send. I plan to do something similar if they don’t do it past preschool or if we go to another school.
