This is the year! This month my goal is to actually get to 50lbs gone! I've been a few pounds away and then something derails me like the cookies and carols event. Liam getting sick and its just like my brain is like "nope!" Not this month!

This is the year for me also. I have a lot of goals.
I want to lose 30/35 lbs. I need to up my water intake. I need to work on my patience (with my kids, my H and mysef). I want to read more and have less screen time. I need to be more present in the moment. I also need to drink less and workout more.

I want to be back to this by this time next year. I don’t care what I have to do, I’m going to do it. I want to keep the good mental state I’ve finally got myself into. To continue that I’m going to identify sources of stress and anxiety and find a way to fix them for when the babe comes. Cleaning and laundry are a big thing so I’m finally going to put my foot down with myself and hire someone.

My goal is to gain 31 lbs or less with this baby. That’s what I gained with O. And after an appropriate post partum period I want to get down to pre O weight. (Which is currently like 20 lbs away.) I would like to incorporate more walking in my daily routine and increase my water intake.

I want to stress less. I need to stop spending so much of my time worrying about things that I cannot control. I want to be more present. I want to do more to be happy with myself.

Finding new friends in this stage of life has got to be one of the hardest things. H and I had such an active social life before we moved here. I’m sure life is much easier in some ways when you have people going through all this same stuff with you.

I'm here and ready.
Started a Whole 30 today. I gave up on food after Thanksgiving and gained 8lbs in the month of December. I know most of that is probably bloat, especially since I ate pizza and drank last night.
I haven't meal planned since before Thanksgiving, so I did that this week. And I am finally going to utilize that damn grocery pickup. For some weird reason MH keeps insisting we all go to the store together. And then he bitches the entire time because it's an awful experience. I'm done wasting my energy on that nonsense.
Before Thanksgiving I was 10lbs from my goal. So now I have 18lbs to go. I hope to reach this by April as that will be the one year mark for when I started trying to lose weight.

I am ready to get back to a normal diet and to utilize my normal self control around food. I just completely let go in December and I feel awful.
I am going to get my family budget on point this year. We need to make some changes and I think we are both ready to make those sacrifices.
I finally feel a little less crazy in general. Like, more patient, less yelling, more connection with MH than I have in the last few years. I really think that sleep deprivation has more of an impact on me than I like to admit. I want to continue getting normal sleep and build on my patience. I am a much better mom and wife when I have patience.

My main goal is diet and exercise. I have 20 lbs to lose, and would love to do so by summer.

- continue to work on things with H
- make February a no spend month, never tried this before, so 🤞🏻
- pay down debt on the very last credit card that we owe (2018 was a great year for paying down debt and I was able to pay off 2 student loans and another loan we owed, so the money that was going to that debt will now be put towards the last credit card and I can finally make some some decent sized payment towards this last card!!)
- another phase of purchasing new windows for the house
- add in a Saturday morning workout at least 1x a month
- read 4 books
- potty train L, and move her out of the crib
- read more with E
- make a list during each season of 4-5 things to do with the kids and have some fun doing them!

tjanca22 Thats amazing (credit). We will have DH's car paid off by the end of this year and I cannot wait to have that money available to dump on our loan. I fully intend to start house shopping next year and we need to get our bills under control before then (especially if we're lucky enough to need another maternity leave around the same time).

I loosely follow Dave Ramsey and it’s helped eliminate 60% of our debt in 3ish years! Paying off my two student loans was a major milestone this year and freed up a good chunk of money in the budget! Making bigger monthly payments is going to be great for reducing that last credit card a lot faster, since I’ve only been paying slightly above the min payment and it’s sooo annoying seeing it almost never move! Between the tax refund and H has a bonus coming this month, that will help a bunch, but if all goes according to plan, it should be gone in 2020! Focusing on my car payment after this last credit card will be after that!

Here's what I've come up with...
-Do better with meal planning, shopping and cooking at home. -Be less wasteful with food. -Stop spending money on stupid things and do better about saving money. -Don't use pregnancy as an excuse to eat shitty or be lazy. -Start working out again, even if it's just once a week like before. -Be more present and active with C. Get out of the house more.

tjanca22, Dave Ramsey is how we saved for a house! Love that guy. And paid cash for a down payment that was over the 20% goldenlove, I love your list!! I made a plan of mini goals. I’m hoping to lose 12lbs by Valentine’s Day💘 (ok the Saturday after), and 20lbs the day before St. Patty’s Day 🍀! Mini goals got me to where I’m at and I didn’t lose weight in December (maybe 2lbs) But I maintained and didn’t gain so that’s a plus! I am making 50lbs gone (and never coming back) this month!! I will do it! Edit to add the mini goal post it!

I’m on day 3 and going strong. Managed to do 45 min of cardio each day and ate accordingly. I’m feeling sluggish though.
The weekends usually break me. I’m praying that I don’t cave and lose any progress I have made so far. I am feeling more motivated then I ever have before so I’m hoping to remember that and continue with that mindset through the weekend.

I would love to be where I want to be (down about 30 lbs) by my SIL’s wedding Memorial Day weekend. I really want to lose 5-7 lbs this month.

My year is off to a terrible start. I'm sick AGAIN and I think the antibiotics didn't totally kick the last sinus infection so I'm back on that train. Ugh.
I'd like to be well for more than 5 minutes, please. But starting today I am at least eating better, hoping I can exercise again later this weekend. I need to be able to breathe.

I've spent a good portion of the day organizing my house and toy purge. I still have more to do tomorrow but I feel like I made a really good start. I'm taking the day off work tomorrow. I was feeling really guilty about not having a shift and was planning to try to get one, but DH told me I should just take thr day to myself. So Thats what I'm doing. It's still gonna be a busy day, but I'll be crossing stuff off my to-do list, decluttering my house, amd getting things accomplished that would take me 10x as long to do on a day when the boys are home. So consider that "reducing my stress and doing things that make me happy"
