Did you see her criticize Mazie Hirono the other day? link And shall we discuss her trip to Syria and on the down low meeting with Assad? link She's beloved by the Bernie bros so I can guess they'll go hard for her if for some reason Bernie doesn't end up running. Yeah I'm with you, I wasn't touching it bc she's problematic AF |

A friend of mine is currently gushing about Tulsi on FB. Her husband has already said he'll vote for Tulsi or Bernie and that's it.

Off to google rent relief act and lift act... Senator Harris talked about them last night and they both sound amazing. But they won’t get any traction until the turtle leaves his throne. But if she campaigns on them, they will be popular. And hopefully local governments can start using these ideas. Short summary: rent relief act is based on the percentage of income that goes to rent and if you exceed a certain percentage you get a tax credit. She quoted some stat that in over 90% of the country a full time minimum wage job holder cannot afford a one bedroom apartment. LIFT is meant to address the problem that the majority of households are only one $500 emergency expense away from financial dispair. So under a certain percentage of the poverty level would get money (via taxes but I can’t remember credit, subsidy or what) but in $500 a month installments. Kind of like a safety net. |

Do you think Beto will run? I'm leaning towards yes. I'm also thinking Harris will make an announcement in the next couple of weeks.
I'm excited to see how the front runners will be. It's exciting that people are announcing now, but it'll be a big field and so many of them will drop out early.
