Biden says he’s open to a republican running mate. He’s such a tool. What the fuck even With his age, I would be terrified of him not making it through a term and being replaced with a Republican. I don't think he would actually go through with this, but really, WTF. Just no.

Just got an alert that Castro dropped out of the race Boo! Makes sense though. He hasn't qualified for the past 2 debates.

Just got an alert that Castro dropped out of the race Damn. Just came over because I saw this as well. I hope we end up seeing him on the ticket as the nominee's vp.

Just got an alert that Castro dropped out of the race Wow, he's been my top choice for a couple months even though I knew it was a long shot. I'm bummed.

God damn it Castro. Now who the hell am I going to caucus for??
I know it make sense rationally, he had no chance. But hells bells, the boat is taking on too much water and I am running very low on paddles.

I’m just feeling very uninspired by these candidates Come, sit on my bench. With the exception of Castro and sometimes Warren, I have felt this way for a while. It...…..sucks.

I knew it was coming but it still stings. He’s been my favorite for a while. I’m glad he was able to shine the spotlight on issues that were mostly ignored. I would love to see him as a VP.

I would love to see him as a VP. Same. I didn’t fully throw my support behind him because I’m still licking my Kamala wounds and it felt like his campaign had the same challenges. But I adore him and hope he runs again in the future. I’m so mad y’all. I just can’t believe we (Dems) are effing this up so badly. All these choices and what does it get us. I’m not just uninspired by the top candidates, I actively dislike most of them.

I’m just feeling very uninspired by these candidates All my favorites are dropping. I have no idea who to vote for. I'm here too. Kamala was my first choice followed by Castro, then Booker. I just, ugh. It's giving me panic that we won't win in November and I'm not sure if I can handle that.

I really am hoping to vote for a candidate and not have my reasoning be "Well, (s)he is better than Trump!" That can't be the best we can do. I went from waffling between who my top one was (Castro or Harris) to trying to figure out who I really want to support - I'm leaning toward Booker, but I am afraid he won't be in much longer either. (Maybe I'm the curse. In which case, maybe I should root for someone I don't really like.)

Also Benett steyer and Bloomberg All of whom are still inexplicably in the race

one more thing: looking at my 2020 calendar and whoooosaaahhhh 3 debates in February alone, on top of the IA, NH, NV and SC caucuses/primaries. And I'm squeezing a trip to disneyworld in there. And assuming impeachment is over by then? I"m tired just thinking about this.

I wonder if Castro could look at a statewide Texas race. IIRC, no Senate openings in 2022, but what if he could pull off something like governor, lt. governor, or AG sooner? I don't follow Texas all that much, and have the sense that O'Rourke had more of a statewide organization, so it might be really interesting to see what those two do in the next six months or so. Although, although Texas seems like it's edging a bit more to the left, I think both would have to move back to center, at least, to campaign. Just random thoughts while baking some potatoes and realizing my primary is not all that far away either.
I've been joking/predicting a brokered convention, but gosh I don't know if I really truly want to see one.

Personally, I think Beto ended his Texas statewide political career the moment he said, "Hell yeah, we're going to take your AR-15's" I've been wondering if Castro will run for Governor in 2022

Here in Ohio, I have seen a zillion Steyer TV ads lately. It's so bizarre. Today on my drive to work I saw my first yard sign, for Pete. I have also seen a few Yang bumper stickers. I feel like I am living in the upside down!

Also, I am feeling the same way as jaygee in that I very very strongly dislike several of the front runners at this time (most of all being Bernie). I just...can't imagine/fathom having to vote for him in November. It kind of makes me feel nauseous. How did this happen?

I feel like I am living in the upside down! I've been seeing him and Bloomberg here in Northern VA. Every time I see one it pisses me off so much that they're still in things while Kamala and Castro are out.
