I don’t think Biden will select Kamala as a VP pick. I just don’t. the phrase 'not a chance in hell' comes to mind.
If I have to hazard a guess, IF he got the nom, he'll pick Pete. young vital white man.
This is the stuff of nightmares.

I wanted to add something else, especially for my ladies in here currently hurting. Remember the gains that we have made since 2016. We took back the House. We have won in deep red areas of this country. We have won with candidates from SO many different backgrounds. I know many of you are devastated and feel incredibly let down, I understand. But remember that we have come very far in a short period of time and change starts from the bottom and works its way up slowly but surely. And quite frankly, it's been moving very fast this time around IMO
But we have made real gains. Look at AOC. Ilhan Omar. The Governorships we have won (especially recently). Danica Roem. Jared Polis. I could go on. \
Anyhoo, we still have a ways to go but damn we have made progress.

Castro has been my #1 for a while now, but I'm still very sad to hear this about Kamala. I am curious to see if his campaign sees a boost after this.

I don’t usually hang out on the politics board but I had to come here and express how sad I am about Kamala because I know you guys will get it. She was my #1 and her being out of the race really sucks.

Interesting. I think he will be encouraged to choose a woman and/or a more progressive Dem as VP as an olive branch to.....the rest of the party. But him choosing another moderate white man would be a thoroughly 2019 thing to happen

My very unscientific Twitter cruising suggests a lot of Khive are now TeamJoe330 or Castro Nation I genuinely don't know where I will land. I love Castro. But I want Kamala on the ticket. And I don't see a Castro/Harris ticket happening purely from an "experience " angle

I think Biden would be advised not to have her on the ticket because she came after him hard in the first debate. I think his advisors will tell him that those clips will circulate and be used against him. I could be wrong (and hopefully we don't get anywhere near the point of him picking a VP) but that's my gut.

He is going to want someone who will fully support his middle of the road politics and not gainsay him. the other person I could maaaaaaaaaaaaaybe see him choosing is Amy because she seems to align most closely with him. You know that middle america not everyone in the party thinks like a liberal, reach across the aisle, view.
and honestly I think that would be a disaster.

I thought Kamala brought some really positive energy to the race. I’m so sorry to see her go.
And fuck the Russian bots!

Politico also reporting How tf is Kamala going to drop out when that generic Cruella de Ville Tulsi is still inLOL But also, what the fucking fuck. I'm so bummed. So many dumbshit Brads are still in who literally no one cares about. Kamala could have made a legitimate difference. So much this. How is she dropping out but so many fucking Chets who no one knows or gives half a shot about still think they deserve to be hanging around. I'm crushed. I was pretty all in on giving Kamala my primary vote.

I don't know - if I were a candidate running now, I don't think I'd want to commit to a VP nominee for a long time to come - I'd want to keep options open. As a thought experiment today, if Biden were nominated, maybe Booker would be a good running mate for him - I think they have similar enough philosophies of public service to work well in tandem. Although they might want to balance the ticket more geographically. If it were Warren or Sanders, it'd be interesting who'd they choose - I suspect they'd have to keep ideology even more in mind than anyone more in the middle. If I had to be bet today, I'd guess it's going to be someone not that much in the national public eye at the moment - someone seasoned like Tim Kaine in 2016, known to the party but not that much to the general public.
I'm still wondering if it's going to end up a brokered convention and everything will be up for grabs.

Julian's wife
From one spouse to another, thank you for lending your voice in this race.
Kamala’s candidacy broke down barriers and cracked more glass ceilings for young girls across our country.

greykitty yes! I wonder the same thing. With such a large and exciting field, it's natural to assume that the VP nominee would be one of the frontrunner's fellow candidates but I often wonder if it will be, in the end. I keep trying to think of governors or former cabinet members who might get tapped. It's still just soooooo early.

In a bittersweet twist of fate, my signed Superheroes are Everywhere book was delivered today 😭. So while my kid will be upset, she’ll be happy to have her bedtime book back and we can continue talking about all the amazing stuff Kamala has accomplished. MINE TOO and I feel gutted. What shit timing. ETA oh my book is not signed, I wish it was though!

Also, today is CD1 for me so I'm in pain and grumpy and emotional eating and not pregnant.**grumpy**
I guess I'm torn between Booker and Castro now. Warren isn't my favorite, just something about her. I can't quite put my finger on it. Sigh.

No candidate will be announcing a VP pick anytime soon and it is very unlikely that person will come from the presidential candidate field. I doubt most campaigns have even a long list right now.
I thought Kaine was an ok selection. At the time I was disappointed and I do wonder if it cost her some voters that would have been energized by a more dynamic VP candidate.

I have a really bad sinking feeling its going to be Biden. Which means we're going to hear all about Hunter, Burisma, and Hunters love child for the next 12 months. Unless he does something so egregious (spelled correctly on the first try go me) the MSM is going to excuse all his gaffes, his record and everything else under the sun and people who are not necessarily motivated to research are going to vote for him because hey he seems like a good guy
this is my nightmare
