I don't know who the right answer is. Harris and other females will piss off the mysogynist left and right. Bernie and his Bros have left a bad taste in a lot of people's mouths. Biden will bring in a lot of moderate Republicans and the mysogynist left, but not necessarily the more progressive left. However, I am very much on the #hagfish2020 train at this point so I will vote for any of them in the general. Same. I'd have severe reservations about Tulsi, though. |

Which ok fine but I'm still pretty cynical of both Tulsi and Gillibrand. I dont know why. Call it a gut reaction or something. I'm also not impressed by Bidens. And I love Uncle Joe

Uncle Joe just needs to enjoy retirement and play with his grandkids. He's a great statesman, but we need to be looking to the younger crowd. |

Conversion therapy is a bridge too far. I get evolutions on lots of positions but conversion therapy is not an acceptable starting place. I'm pretty sure this would Tank Biden in a primary bid I remember this. He spoke at some Econ Club here and it was in the papers about how he said Upton was a good guy, yada yada. It was in Sept or Oct, so definitely after the primary. I was pretty head-tilty about it then, too. But I think I see his strategy: trying to play to the more moderate Republicans that vote Upton and could be pulled away from Trump. It's not going to win him any love from the Democrats in the area, though. |

I just finished the Gillibrand PSA interview. She seems progressive, but the interview left me feeling very "meh". Maybe it's that she spent so much time talking about what "you" have to do and about fighting. So much fighting. So very much fighting. The idea that "if you don't have 60 votes you're not trying hard" in this era of obstructionism is kind of.... unrealistic? But i guess she knows better than I do. I don't mean to pick her apart, just trying to pinpoint what left me so uninspired by her.

One thing I heard in the interview that made my ears perk up was her discussion of full employment/job guarantees and the dignity of work. I could see some more centrist Dems supporting her bc of that. |
