I was talking about Kamala with MH and my 4 year old wanted to know who she was. So now she's all in on Kamala too. She doesn't want to have a mean president.

So, watching this particular interview it hit me that Harris is often emphatically and passionately arguing for what is common sense, and she does it in a way that makes you feel that it is, indeed, common sense.
I feel this makes her a good foil to Trump, who is the opposite of sense or logic or reason.
Listen maybe she's a liberal Yahoo but at least she makes sense, right?

Listen if they want to make the general election into "Kamala Harris is weak on crime and Donald Trump is tough on crime" they're going to have problems because
a) Trump has sought, PUBLICLY, to use his office to obstruct justice
and
b) claiming "DA Harris dismissed cases that were constitutionally un-prosecutable while Donald Trump shrieked about the 'unfairness' of investigations into himself and his cronies" isn't going to play well on the nightly news

I do really hope that the dynamics will be different for 2020. I’m hoping a wider field of Dem candidates with an array of progressive positions can drown out Bernie because damn do I not like him personally.

I didn’t realize that Kamala’s sister Maya worked on HRC’s campaign (amongst many other accomplishments) and Maya’s husband was heavily involved in Obama’s campaign in 2008. Nice to have some legit players behind the scenes.

Already dealing with shit that other candidates won’t have to. This has been the Bernie Bros and MAGA bash against her for a long time. Oh she dated her way to her job. And, my personal favorite, “she dated a MUCH OLDER man”. I hope they stretch thouroughly. Because boy I’ve got news for them about the age difference between....a lot of couples. |
