I'm looking at governors too.
There are a couple that are going to be term limited by 2022 that might work
Inslee might be a good candidate for a seat as well. (I highly doubt hes going to be the nominee)

I know he's the wrong party and I wouldn't trust him to adhere to a Democratic administration's policies, but I always thought SoS was a job Mitt Romney could do well. It's why I was surprised when his name was batted around with 45. He seems competent. Obviously why the ball of dryer lint wouldn't pick him.
Anyway, wrong party, like I said.

Maybe if Kaine gets a Cabinet seat Jennifer Wexton could become a Senator?

I've always liked Warren for Sec. Of Education. Everything I've heard her say about teacher salaries, classrooms, and financial aid has been spot on. She's really so diverse in her strengths and it's part of why I like her so much. I'm just not sure I can past the offense to Native Americans to throw all me energy at her for President (though, hell yes, I'd vote her if it came to it). That was a really low moment. Warren would be awesome in the cabinet. I actually think she'd do more good there than in the Senate.

I would put Tammy Duckworth in charge of the VA.

MSNBC has the first set of debates in June, this has been known
CNN has just announced they will do the second set of debates at the end of July
It seems as if both debates will be 2 night affairs with half going the first night and the remaining the second night. Allegedly there will not be a 1st tier/2nd tier like the GOP clown car had. So maybe they will be drawing names for which night.
And I am NOT looking forward to whichever night Bernie is going to be on.

Schiff needs to stay right where he is until Dianne Feinstein retires, then he needs to go to the Senate, IMO. Ted Lieu is an interesting idea. He's a bit of a loose cannon so I'm not sure how that plays diplomatically. I was thinking maybe Tim Kaine or Jack Reed. I like the idea of Kaine. I hadn't thought of him. I met him when we lived in Virginia and he is genuinely a nice guy, from what I could tell. I like the suggestion of Jack Reed. Kaine doesn’t seem to have the gravitas I’d like to see in a SoS. All those dad jokes...

She would be awesome. But don't take her away from us! We need her!

I'm hearing Swalwell is throwing in his hat. I really, really, really like him. I wish he wouldn’t run, but I will listen to what he has to say as a candidate.

I think Pelosi’s take is spot on. And I like her “straight arm club”. I am a hugger for people very familiar with me. I am a straight armer for 99% of the population.

I need him to take on more leadership in Congress. I know he’s been there for a minute, but he still seems like he needs more experience.

I've been working really hard with my kids on the anatomy of a sincere apology and the Speaker really captured why it matters

Honestly, I know he's old , but this is a job I could see Biden doing extremely well. I know he's a problem, though. For someone younger, I don't know. Lieu, maybe? I like Schiff, but I feel like he needs to stay in the House. Tim Kaine for SOS? I might die of happiness.

Julian Castro was in Iowa recently and was great at answering questions about the interests of farmers/rural residents. He clearly admitted he was a "city boy" (<---his words) and didn't know much about it but that he was interested in listening and learning. I saw clips and it felt genuine, unlike what I sometimes see from other politicians. I am not currently #teamJulian but I definitely think he has a lot of potential.
