I am so happy to be wrapping up 2018. It sucked. I am living my best life today though while Dh is at work and C is at school? My work is closed. the cleaning woman comes later so I’ll go out then for groceries. My brother is coming this evening and staying the night. We are getting Mexican takeout and have a countdown and dance party planned around 8 for C. Should be fun.

I started my NYE cleaning up vomit again. He's a bit under the weather this morning and just sneezed a disturbing amount of gunk all over his face. Yuck. So I need to call the nurse line when they open for ideas of what I can give him because the Benadryl/Zarabees combo isn't doing it.
No big plans today aside from more laundry and a trip to the grocery store. It's been nice having the extra time with the boys.

I woke up at 430 after a disturbing dream then couldn't get back to sleep until 630 then E woke me at 7. I'm ready to get back into writing it and eating healthy. I think I'll try a few days of keto to get rid of my bloat and a few lbs.

Or even a low dose robitussin? Eta we used little musinex packets that they put in their tongue |

My pedi said triaminic cough and cold was ok at this age as long as he’s not on it for too long. It’s the only thing that touched his terrible cough right before Christmas. And B is younger than C. I’d definitely ask your pedi if you can try that. |

Heading to our friends for NYE. They like to host nye but are not great at hosting which is a pet peeve of mine. But hey, I said I was over hosting so I can’t complain too much.

Cadence is headed to school, they close at 4 today, and I'm at work. No idea if we are closing early or not. I'll likely stay as long as I can. I like the quiet and the fact that I'm not stepping on a toy every few feet.

Z is at day care til 4 and the rest of us are heading to Ikea. I’m ready for O to go back to school and mh to go back to... something.
Not looking forward to how busy I’ll be at work though. It’s never ending.

Morning and happy NYE! 2018 has been a pretty good year for us but I am excited to move into 2019...one year closer to being back home and settled  Thankfully both kids slept late again; B goes back Wednesday and I can't wait. He likes being home but he needs the structure and social outlet big-time. DH just left to pick up my grocery order. I need to run to Carters and Dillards today to make a couple exchanges, but otherwise not much on our agenda today. |

But they made it clear to byob and they said they aren’t going to provide any food since people bring so much. It just seems... tacky? And their house is pretty small for how many people they are going to have there (20-30 plus kids) so they are going to have a heater in the (non insulated) garage for the *guys* to hang out in. Which just annoys me... women and children inside, the men out in the garage. And no NYE countdown on the tv. So I might bring the kids home early and pop my champagne by myself and watch the countdown. (It is assumed everyone will stay until midnight, even with kids) Or my crabbiness could just be my body telling me I’ve done enough eating and drinking so I should just stay home. Lol. |

MH is at work and I’m home with the kids. Our neighbors invited us over for a kid friendly party from 5:30-8. I don’t really want to go, but we will.

Morning. We’re hosting a NYE party tonight, and by tonight I mean 5-9:30ish, and by hosting I mean full dinner, drinks and snacks provided! Food is my love language, no one leaves my house hungry. They’ll probably leave around 9-9:30 cause of kids and I’m sure the kids will destroy the house but it’ll be fun.
My NY resolution for 2018 was to be more social and here we are hosting, gives me the warm fuzzies.

Happy New Year’s Eve! Dd has a low grade fever and Ds has a terrible cough, so we skipped the pool today. The weather was nice, so we had a nice walk in the woods. It’s just us four tonight. We have some small sparklers for the kids, after the kids go to bed, we’ll just watch tv with nice appetisers and Prosecco.

Morning Ladies! I am hosting family tomorrow for H's and Theo's birthday's. We are doing brunch and I made and froze a few quiches earlier this week, so I am feeling ahead of the game. We are going over to the neighbor's tonight for NYE, so I'll prob pop in for an hour or two and then come home to put the baby down and finish setting up. I want to wake up tomorrow with very little to do. Probably wishful thinking on my part, but I'm going to do my best!

I need to drop off my skis to get serviced. Has anybody taken their N13er skiing? I want to try this year. I can dump them in lessons so I can ski solo for a while.

Happy NYE! After a good nights sleep I’m feeling much better! Thank you for all the love and support yesterday. It was kind of a hard relaxation to me to see how much I need the anxiety meds. I mean, I knew I felt better with them, but I don’t think I realized how bad I would feel without them. It sucked. It didn’t help being in a crowded house with 18 people. Also, I love my MIl but she has this tendency to put dh up on a pedestal and act like I’m sooo lucky when he does tho he like take the baby, or change a diaper or fix the kids lunch. You know... being a dad. It’s infuriating, tbh.
Anyway, we are running out to do a bunch or returns and exchanged and the. We are having some friends over for NYE!

inthekitty - Last winter, Colin went for a couple lessons, never more than an hour and a half. This year he'll be doing 2 hour lessons since he's a bit older and he enjoyed himself enough for the cold to be forgotten. DH didn't bother skiing BUT that's partially because Col isn't the quickest to pick up new things so he couldn't really ski with him after the lesson. We're hoping to get a full day (the 3 of us) in February if he's had a good January, which likely will involve me on the bunny hill with him all afternoon. I haven't skied since a couple days before finding out I was KU with Col, so that's probably where I belong anyway!
