This morning I picked up my grocery order and managed to get all the Christmas decor down while LO snacked on raisins in the high chair. The ILs took DS1 to church with them, so when they dropped him off, FIL and I put away the tree. It feels like one more step towards normal.
If I remember what normal is..... 🤔 lol

We all went to church this morning and were going to keep DS2 with us but he let out a super loud shriek/laugh during a quiet moment so to the nursery he went.
I came home and filed an animal abuse complaint on some horses I haven’t seen have food in weeks. And their home is a mud pit. Hopefully the city inspects and does something.

doodlemommy I could've written your post a couple weeks ago. My LO is doing a bit better now, so 🤞 you're out of the woods soon. 3 molars broke through in about a week span, and I think the 4th one will be through soon. He's still a mess at times, but he's sleeping better and eating better overall. As much as it sucks I’m glad to hear we are not alone. DD was a unicorn teether, we had no idea she was even teething and then one day, huh, all 4 molars are though. DS is decidedly not. Hopefully he gets back on track soon. He did take an early nap so at least church wasn’t a disaster this morning and I’m currently putting him down an hour early for his afternoon nap. Early bedtime tonight too and hopefully he sleeps tonight |

Today is the first day I feel slightly better than death. No fever this morning and a (very) slight return in an appetite so I will be dragging myself into work tomorrow if this continues. I am doing great on my New Year’s resolutions to eat better and sleep more though 😂
H has spent the last few days doing all the kid and house chores. He jokingly mentioned today about being exhausted from doing it all solo and, despite knowing he was joking, I could have shot daggers at him. Like, what do you think I do from Oct-Feb every year?!?! 😑 😑

H always announces when he is going to do a chore instead of just going to do it quietly. He also has a bad habit of telling me he cleaned up the kitchen “for me” after I cook. So after every task I’ve started telling him I did it for him. Hey, I wiped the counters down for you. I unloaded the dishwasher for you. I put the kids laundry in the wash for you. I dusted the shutters for you.
I think I’m hilarious.

H always announces when he is going to do a chore instead of just going to do it quietly. He also has a bad habit of telling me he cleaned up the kitchen “for me” after I cook. So after every task I’ve started telling him I did it for him. Hey, I wiped the counters down for you. I unloaded the dishwasher for you. I put the kids laundry in the wash for you. I dusted the shutters for you. I think I’m hilarious. I say keep it up!! Good for you! Also - your comment about the horses makes me so sad. That would really bother me. I hope someone looks into it very soon. Those poor animals. I don’t understand people who mistreat animals - they are the worst. |

I pass them twice a day every day and so does every other person living in this city. It’s not hard to miss. My cousin is an equestrian vet so I texted her to see how to report it. Not sure if I will get any update from the SPCA or not. They have my name and number and address tho. |
