It was legal in my state to switch her when I did, my other board wasn't as active at that time, and the info about car seats wasn't all over the place like it was later when I had Cass. Others were nice about it, but she basically said there was plenty of info and I was irresponsible. I wrote her off as a sanctimommy bitch at that time. I know she was well-liked by many. She was a second-time mom and mentioned it all.the.time.

I'm pretty sure she was also the same person who offered to take someone's baby when they feared they were pregnant a second time (maybe it was Devyn? I could be totally wrong on this and mixing up names. It was someone in an unhealthy relationship and it was unplanned, her period was late and she mentioned thoughts of abortion). It was very weird to me when someone is in the initial phases of facing the possibility of another pregnancy to right away focus on your own agenda and say something to the effects of "please don't abort, I'll take your child." To her credit, people who are pro-choice always lament that people who are pro-life aren't willing to actually adopt when it comes down to it and she clearly was. But at the same time, I thought damn, let her take a test first and process a bit. If I remember correctly she eventually tested and wasn't in fact pregnant. I think she left soon after the abortion discussion.

I don’t remember that either. My memory is failing me today. Is she the one that wanted more kids but couldn’t have more due to her husband or something?

vino, yes. Her N13 was her second and her older child was almost the same as my older one (so 2 years older). I liked her initially, but once some of the judgment and santcimommyness came out she was BEC for me until the day she left and never came back.

I don't recall that. But I think she was also the one with the older daughter with the fever disorder. Like I said, most people liked her, as I did initially as well. But I got a bad taste in my mouth from her on several occasions and then was done.

I had 3 coworkers years ago

Coworker 1 - had had 3 children young.  Was in a very bad place with drugs/prostitution etc.  State removed all 3 children from her, and whatever happened was bad enough that the state refused her parents to have any contact either (they tried to get the kids).  I had a few conversations with her that gave me an idea of what happened but I will spare you all from that except to say it was awful.  She cleaned up, but still no contact, etc.

Coworker 2 - was sleeping (for years) with married coworker 3.  Not really a secret, everyone knew.  I'm talking 5 or 6 years at this point.  He used to stay at her house all the time, telling wife he was travelling for work.  Anyway, she ends up pregnant and he tells her he wants nothing to do w/ the baby (he was a real gem).  She contemplates abortion and goes to Coworker 1 to discuss.  Coworker 1 freaks out, brings her pro-life flyers, and tells her to have the baby and she and her now H will raise it as their own.

So yes, I do work in a soap opera.

The person with the child with fevers was MX2 when we moved to TCF. Maybe mommyxtwo or something on the bump. I don’t remember her ever being a sanctimommy? She did work in insurance but had to quit soon after having her N13 baby because of horrible reflux and her daughters fevers. I’m pretty sure she had to do formula because of the reflux.

I became friends with her outside of here and she came to our DC meetup last year. We aren’t in touch anymore but I really doubt she is the one who was against abortion as well. She’s the only one with an older child with fevers. Unless I really missed something I can’t reconcile these behaviors with her.

I talked to her on SC several months ago.  Her daughter has epilepsy now.

There were a lot of regs who I started off liking and was NOT sad to see disappear. There are a few I was genuinely sad to see go. Wasn't kfran being doxxed or something weird like that? She was one I was so sad to see go, but I understood.

This is definitely more UO but it is baffling to me when people are like, “I struggle with infertility and I would do anything for a baby” in response to people considering termination. I’ve not had a loss so I can’t imagine how painful it is to experience that and see others who don’t want a baby, but to project that onto someone else’s situation is bizarre.

Also, if anyone needs an abortion and has only judgmental jerks in their life LMK and I will spend all my money to get on a plane and come hold your hand. I think we’re mostly past that at this point in our lives, but JIC.

I was sad when kfran left too. I used to get her an you mixed up joelies because of your profile pictures. I really liked her. I'm glad to hear it was just a friend who found her and caused her to bolt and not a creeper.

I changed my screenname because my initial one (britt.annie.#s) was potentially identifiable and could be linked to more of my online identity. I got paranoid about it for a while and the opportunity to change when we migrated from TB was a nice bonus.

Ah that's who I thought you were talking about. I think I missed the final blow up fight when she left but I know it involved sing and kellykinns and they were/still are very dear to me so I just decided to not care about what happened and was fine with her leaving.

I hear you loud and clear. I never had any desire to breastfeed but when DS1 arrived at 36 weeks, the nurses encouraged me to try and it came easy. He ended up with a milk allergy so I quit at 2 months. Then with DD I was overdosed on morphine by my nurse and have no memory of the first 24 hours and she was formula fed but once again it still came easy. I quit at 4 months when I went back to work because I didn’t want to pump. Then came T, the boobie addict who ate nothing else for nearly 15 months and here I am at almost 13 months with C. I always felt bad because my sister wanted to breastfed so badly and it didn’t work out for her and I had no desire and it came easy.

kim22 I love breastfeeding, but holy shit if C isn’t pushing my limits. Anytime she is on me/near me she is trying to pull down my shirt for a snack. Like, as I type this she’s doing it. All day and all night. She is 11 months and I wish everyday she would decide she wants a pacifier. Thankfully I have a pretty big pumped supply so dh can give her bottles and I can have a break.
