That is ringing a bell. Was it Ximenita? I feel like she was maybe a nanny or something (and expecting her own), she had very definite opinions about controversial (parenting) topics. I remember some very dramatic posts when I first started lurking involving her. eta: i just looked up N13 on The Bump. A lot of people deleted but there is still a lot of content there...so many names I'd forgotten about! That’s the name. I don’t think she was a nanny, she was the one that claimed she got pregnant without ever having intercourse. There was also something about her dog eating butter. Oh and also she kept giving her kid crazy things to eat but also being concerned about it, but then would do it again anyway. She was crazy cakes. I remember all of this except the butter. I thought the butter dog was kamakaziartist’s although I may be thinking that because he ate loaves of bread and the two go together🤷♀️

X’s dog ate butter that she left out because I think she was going to make something. She didn’t take it seriously if I remember correctly.

My dog ate butter that I left out to make cookies a few months ago and I thought nothing of it... Depends on the size of the dog really. It can cause pancreatitis due to all the fat so for a small dog to eat a lot of butter it could get really sick. Big dogs don't get pancreatitis that much anyway but I doubt butter would have too much of an impact unless it was pounds.

I think he has the stomach of steel. Once he ate a corn cob and then threw it up 4 months later. Yikes.

So ximenita was nuts, but there was one thread where things got super nasty and people started saying it was her fault that she was/is in an abusive relationship. It was really disgusting. A few of us were like, wait, we don’t like this girl either but what you’re saying is not okay and that’s the last thread I ever remember with her.
I wonder how she’s doing now and if she had more babies.

My dog used to eat towels. She also still eats her own poop, so there's that.

My ex had one and that dog was crazy. A runner like yours and she loved to eat his tube socks. Smarter than hell, though. She figured out how to press the button in the car to make the automatic windows roll down.

Cadence is in the after school kids area today, aka where the big kids are. She was there all day yesterday and did fine, but I'm going a little crazy not being able to see her. They don't have cameras down there, so I can't watch her. I've watched her since she was 2 months old. I don't know how I'm going to handle it this summer when she starts going down there full time.

I’m already the ‘overprotective trying not to be to much of helicopter mom’, I don’t think I’d get anything done at all!

Everytime I see him misbehaving I would get a pit in my stomach and then have to fight the urge to bring it up later. I would also be looking at who is playing alone and making C play with them. The cameras would not be a good thing for mine and C's relationship.

To the point that when her teacher puts her in time out she says she can't go because then I'll see and get "talked to".
I don't watch every day now. I'll pop in around lunch time to make sure she's eating or nap time to see what she is doing. I think my issue with her downstairs is that she is the youngest and the other kids are 1st and 2nd grade and I just don't want them being mean to her.

Cameras are not available at the kids' daycare and if they weren't I'm pretty sure I wouldn't log on. They go to daycare to play and hang out with friends, I go to work to work and earn a living. I chat with the teachers and know all of them and go out of my way to chat with them, I trust that if there is an issue, which there has been in the past, they let me know.
One daycare that I toured for the kids had an app and would send updates for food, play time, poop diapers etc, she was really telling me as if it was a feature and my face was clearly horrified and without thinking said 'WHY!", she started to laugh at me.

I also remember the Ximenta abuse issue and the grossness. I know she was likely a troll, but ignore and move on rather than say she's responsible for her own abuse.
I can say though that I'm so glad we're out of that stage of craziness on the board. Not the dumb trolly posts, but the 1087 posts about feeding solids/breastfeeding/sleep training/etc. Boooooorrrrrrriiiiiinnnng. I get first time mom jitters. But damn those topics are boring. And I'm not bothered by the random question about that stuff here for those with babies, but multiple threads day in and day out about nothing but those kind of topics was painful.

vino - I get those kind of updates via the app for Chase, but only at the end of the day. They DO push out photos via email over the course of the day, and it took a loooong time for that to not be totally distracting!

Makes me think big picture a little. IDK it's hard to explain...
