I agree with that. I also think my feeling that way is kind of silly. I think it’s like a feeling that we are not cool enough or something.

I think cagoldi pulled me out of lurkerdom & am I so happy she did. I’ll admit that the earlier drama kept me from posting, I was intimidated by the pace and the tone. I had no idea crap was being said about N13, don’t they know how lovely we are?!

I started posting when the kids were a little over 1. I definitely got some push back from a few, especially from a poster who doesn't post anymore...fitmama or something?? She wasn't a total bitch or anything, just not pleased. I remember Cher being like, "The more people we have the longer the board will go on. Welcome!"

My state doesn't either...but one is opening next to my office in the district next year 🙌🙌 and they do sell wine there. Perks of living within a few miles of a state border.

It’s right in the same store. I know Bergen county has done weird blue laws, maybe that’s why.

I don’t think any other grocery stores in the area sell them though.

Oh man this was a trip down memory lane! I posted from the beginning on the bump, but man was it intimidating! I enjoyed some of the snark and drama, but it was too over the top and constant.

I much prefer the board now and all of you ladies. I was glad to see a few of them go. I don't like it when people are mean just for meanness sake. And heaven forbid you defend someone, they were quick to call you a white knight and ask if you were going to good by cruel bump.

I liked following it, but I didn’t want it directed at me, so I was hesitant to post. I think I started posting more regularly right before the bump imploded and then when we went to TCF I became a more regular poster.

I'm just getting caught up from being out of work for the holidays and this was fun to read! When I found TB, I only really read 3rd tri, it took me forever to even realize there was a BMB. I lurked for awhile, then started 'talking' when the N13s were a few months old. And I'm glad I did!

Becca...I reached out to her via PM because I was legit concerned about her. Some people just seemed so shitty about what was going on and I couldn't wrap my head around it. We emailed back and forth for awhile, probably 6-8 months, then she just quit responding to me. She did tell me that she had to have regular visits with CPS and she was seeing a therapist and that her husband was being much more helpful. Typing this makes me kind of want to email her again and see how she's doing.

Remember the girl that the blads were really mean to and she would often just post to stir the pot? I think her name was something like Pimienta or something similar in Spanish. Totally random but a poster in GD made me think of her because of her sentence phrasing.

That is ringing a bell. Was it Ximenita? I feel like she was maybe a nanny or something (and expecting her own), she had very definite opinions about controversial (parenting) topics. I remember some very dramatic posts when I first started lurking involving her. 

eta: i just looked up N13 on The Bump. A lot of people deleted but there is still a lot of content there...so many names I'd forgotten about!

That’s the name. I don’t think she was a nanny, she was the one that claimed she got pregnant without ever having intercourse. There was also something about her dog eating butter. Oh and also she kept giving her kid crazy things to eat but also being concerned about it, but then would do it again anyway. She was crazy cakes.
