Merry Christmas everyone!!
We're in bed listening to Chase cough. He only started 1/2 hour ago but I feel so bad. He just finished his antibiotics on Sunday so I hope this is just the tail end of things. I'm still coughing too, and I feel fine.
Just waiting for Colin to wake up before we get things started. He was so excited last night but he also loves his sleep. I'm sure it won't always be this way so I'm enjoying it for now.

I got up at 5 and made dinner had coffee and now I’m on the couch resting. Charlie is just starting to stir.

I just put out all the gifts (puppy will eat them if they're out to early) so I'm just waiting for everyone to wake up. We went to my brothers after my mom's family Christmas last night and didn't get home until 11:30.

C was up at six singing Jingle Bells but abided by the rule of not leaving his room until the sun was fully up. He got us at 7:15. Every present he as thrilled with. It’s 8:22 and we have everything open, cinnamon rolls in our bellies, and I’m back in bed. Dh told me to since I have a headache. We don’t need to be at my parents until 12:30 so it’s a nice relaxing morning. Here’s C posing with his new Fozzy Bear  |

Merry Christmas to my favorite ladies!
S was up at 5, but we waited till about 6:30 to open gifts. She seems to be feeling a lot better today! Her favorite is a nurse Barbie. And the fish tank. But that’s been set up for a few days. We will get the fish for it in a few more days. Just trying to get all the levels right. And holy cow...I did not realize how expensive saltwater fish can be!

We’re done opening gifts and will head to my in laws’ house after I shower. M loves her makeup kit the best and H’s favorite gift are the suckers from his stocking.

Merry Christmas! The kids loved opening presents and took turns watching each other. It was cute.
I forgot about all of MH rules around these things and I’m trying not to let it sour the mood. Ex: making the kids wait upstairs before coming down to see the presents because he didn’t have his camera ready. Ex 2: Only letting the kids take one toy out of the box to play with. He said they could open 1 more today. IDK, I’m more of the “play with everything” camp.
The kids are happy though and that’s all that matters.

Morning! Merry Christmas everyone, hope it was a magical morning! We slept in until about 7:40 and gifts were a hit. J has zero interest in the bball hoop though - so much for mh trying to get him more into sports. He wrote his list to santa yesterday and we ended up at Target at 8pm picking up a Lego set he asked for. Now en route to my dad's for breakfast and more gifts. Oh and last night I ate too much and my pants were too tight and I threw up at 11pm mid wrapping 🤦. I think I'm fine, but a bit nervous to eat more.

Absolutely team open everything! We do try to get them to unwrap everything before opening anything, but it doesn't always work.
Col's favorite present are his Bey Blades and Chase is obsessed with his shovel and the power drill that came with his airplane.

I made LO wait for us since he would wake up at 1am and open without us.
Last night we only let him open one toy since it was close to bed. Today I had them all unboxed for him. But what does he want to play with E’s toys.

Morning ladies! The stomach bug of 2018 has left our home. Cadence was up at 7:30 to open presents. Mh is back in bed while Cadence unboxes every single thing....which is a lot because she got quite a few LOLs. Her favorite presents are her LOL Biggie pet and her calico critters kangaroo family.
We head to SILs at 1. She's making place cards for where we sit at lunch. 🙄

Merry Christmas lovelies!! Presents are opened and we’re snuggled in down in the basement.... watching a show 🙄 that’s okay. We have no plans today so I’m sure we’ll go between playing with new toys and relaxing all day.
N loves her puzzles and scooter and h loves the mini hockey set and tools

tallb Yea he wasn’t keen on a tree a few years ago. wineallthetimeYea i want us all to come down together too. But literally MH had them go fix their beds because he hadn’t gotten his GoPro out of the basement yet. Then he had them waiting on the stairs because he hadn’t powered it on yet. Poor kids were so excited to come down and see their presents but they were stuck sitting on the stairs because Dad wasn’t ready yet. That was annoying.

In true guster family fashion, we are on the slowest roll. We opened some presents, then they wanted to eat and play. Lather, rinse, repeat. They’ll be done at some point today, I think. So far, the fisher price car track is Charlie’s favorite and Josie loves her scary bingo game. They both want in on the sit and spin!
MH let Josie pick out a ring for me. I love big gaudy cocktail rings, but this is something else!

MH made eggs Benedict for breakfast this morning after presents. I feel a little guilty leaving him to “work” while we go spend time with family. But he made me laugh earlier when I overheard him talking on the phone. He said “they can’t guarantee me a paycheck so I can’t guarantee them productivity “. Lol! This was in reference to him spending his day “working “ at home.

C is taking forever to get ready. I’ve gotten ready and got both kids ready by myself. Plus packed the car almost completely.

We have 15-20 people, my mom makes sure the left-handed people are on the ends so they have room to maneuver, etc. ETA: I see it’s a party of 6. Regardless, I am always a fan of gracious living so no judgement from me 😬 |

Just got home from my in-laws, and it went without a hitch!!! Which is almost a Christmas miracle. I’m exhausted from stressing how it would go, so I’m very much looking forward to sitting on the couch and doing nothing tonight.

We’ve opened everything and the kids have been playing with everything. In true Bennett and Julia fashion, they are completely different. She takes her time and enjoys it all and he rips through them like crazy! J slept like crap last night which is unlike her so she’ll be down for an early nap then we’re heading to my Mom’s, again, for the afternoon and dinner.

Hi and Merry Christmas! Hope everyone is having a wonderful day.
The kids slept late—7:30—so obviously that was the best gift ever 😂 We didn’t get home until almost 9 from the party last night so they were tired.
They loved their Santa gifts (B’s favorite so far is a Nerf gun, C seems to like the apron and Melissa and Doug pancake cooking set that will go along with her toy kitchen) and then we opened all the presents from us and my parents after breakfast. Today we’re just relaxing and tonight everyone will come over for dinner and another round of gifts.
