Merry Christmas, ladies!
This is all a sensory nightmare for X, apparently, so he keeps retreating to lie quietly with his pillow and new stuffed elephant then comes back for more once he’s recharged.
Atticus got every Avenger toy under the sun, I think. Including a giant Spider-Man headquarters tower thing.
They had a great time at my dad’s last night, and we’re heading to SIL’s later. They’ll get a lot of outside time and she’s going to have a bounce house. Should be fun.
I plan to survive on coffee, cinnamon rolls, and mimosas.

S will sit at X’s table cagoldi. We just did a quiet family Xmas this morning with the 3 of us. All of S’s presents were in a Santa bag unwrapped because she can’t handle the ripping paper noise. But this evening and tomorrow will involve a lot of chaos that is sure to send her into sensory overload!

I am on sensory overload myself. My mom always does this fancy foil type wrapping paper covered in glitter and ties everything with glittery bows. The noise and the glitter killed me.

We’re on our first fondue course and watching home alone. Cheese with bread and apples. We’ll do steak and shrimp fondue for dinner and chocolate fondue later on. I wouldn’t mind if this became a new Christmas tradition!

Merry Christmas to everyone!
Sounds like everyone is having a good day so far!
The kids were up late last night after late car naps, so we didn’t get moving until 1030! M likes playing with everything, including M2s stuff. M’s favorite so far is a nerf nitro car blaster and M2 likes his pop up shark tent and play wagon. We ate pancakes for breakfast and I cooked while they played outside. I’m now cleaning and clearing out some things.
Good day. My friend may come over later to see the boys.

Also have a question. M asked Santa for a skateboard and helmet this past week and I don’t think he would do well with one, so I didn’t get it. He mentioned it today and I felt kind of guilty that I didn’t get it. He didn’t make a big deal about it, just asked where it was. I told him skateboards are for 6 year olds and maybe he would get one next year. I don’t even know where he got the idea. Would anyone else have bought a skateboard?

C has been asking for one for 2 yrs. I told him we could get one this summer but I want to find someone who could help teach him since I will be of no use there. Last summer I got him a two wheel razor scooter and told him that was the next step to a skateboard. That tided him over for a while. I believe @cagoldis A is using one already.

Dinner in Galveston lasted 3 hours. We now have a 1.5 hr drive back to my in laws’ house to pick up presents and then another 25 min drive back to our house.
I am not delighted.

Lunch at SILs went well. She skipped the place cards and kept it casual. The kids had fun running around and jumping on the trampoline.
Now we're just lounging around the house and there's a frozen pizza in the oven for a little miss who only wanted to eat bread at lunch.
She goes back to school tomorrow and my and I have off. Looking forward to a quiet day where I can sleep in and clean up the house.

Ok. I don’t know why I second guessed myself. wedding we don’t have a scooter and I guess I could have done that, but didn’t think about it.

Christmas with A's extended family went really well. Except when we were leaving my mil forced J to hug one of the cousins goodbye. Hes a super annoying and creepy 19 year old guy and has BO so bad I can't sit next to him. J has seen him all of 4 times and for some reason shes forcing my kid to hug this creeper goodbye. I may have lost it a little.. j was crying and saying no! Let my kid go!

It was a good Christmas! Evie is in bed, exhausted. H is packing his bag to head out of town tomorrow. My in laws are picking evie up around 9 tomorrow so I'm trying to decide if I want to do some after Christmas clearance sales or just stay home and be lazy all day. Its supposed to rain, so im pretty sure the sofa and netflix will win.

Merry Christmas! This is the literal first chance I’ve had to check in. H woke everyone up at 6:30, which was not delightful to me. Both girls enjoyed opening gifts. H’s favorite are her ear muffs and once upon a baby alive, S’s favorite is her tiger. After doing our thing at home then we went to the IL’s for brunch. H ate a couple of mini muffins and then said her tummy hurt. She laid on the couch and eventually ended up vomiting on her way into the bathroom, poor girl. After testing a bit she was back to full energy. She also has a bit of a fever. We did go to my sister’s house for a while because she begged to go. Neither girl really got a nap and H passed out on the couch after we got home, so early bedtime for her it is. I’m probably going to have an early bedtime also.

My ILs spoiled the shit out of my kids. So many presents!! Not sure how DH fit them all in the truck, especially the soccer nets and the fooze ball table.
We bathed the boys this morning and they both stink by bedtime. So it's either hereditary (I seem to remember my brother's room always having a very strong smell) or it's dietary. Either way, so gross!!

Had a great time at my aunts house with all the family. We played a fun game called “where we going “. My team won. The prize was a $15 Chick-FIL-A gift card and a giant Hershey Kiss and a lottery ticket for each team member. My lottery ticket was a $50 winner!
I got a Crockpot express cooker from MH and an Instant Pot from my mom. After comparing the 2 I decided to keep the crockpot one and return the instant pot.
Getting together with my sister tomorrow to do one last Christmas with her family. Then next weekend will be a late Christmas with my in laws.

cagoldi and chrisy01 I'm heading your way in month!! Just got 4 direct round trip tickets for $160 each but basically free bc of a credit and points. How do I go about getting DL tickets and how long do a plan for? I was thinking 2 maybe 3 days between the two parks. Can't believe I pulled the trigger on booking something finally! Anyone been to Legoland? Do we need to do that too while out west(we already have a rental car).

I’d start with a scooter if he doesn’t already have one. Although at this age I think if B got one he’d probably just sit on it and go up and down the driveway, I remember doing that when i was super little.

Christmas was fun, but it goes by too fast and I’m exhausted. I’ve put on a movie that I’ve seen a million times and I’ve been blankly staring at the tv for a good hour.
The kids got so much and hopefully will just play on their own tomorrow for hours and hours on end, coming to ask me only for food that I have to prepare. FX my Christmas wish comes true 🤞😉

I was looking at airfare to the west cost a few months ago and decided against it because of the duration of the flight. I think we had at least one stop. Not sure how M2 would do at this age, probably wait until he’s a little older. How long is the direct flight? Exciting to plan a trip to DL!

tallb so exciting. Disneyland can be done in 2-3 days. It all depends on crowds. They do have the MaxPass service for $10 a day per ticket that lets you get fastpass tickets from your phone so no running around the park as much. When we went when LO hit the height for a lot of the bigger rides we paid for it. I also get it on 1 ticket if I go on a lot of rides that take photos or have a lot of pics with a Disney photographer. It includes free digital photos. Let me know what you need to do and I can tell you how doable it is. I love the Fantasmic show so if that’s running I recommend it. I haven’t been to LegoLand yet but we want to. I know cagoldi has and her kids have liked it. She can go into more detail about that.

We have a night flight so hopefully they will sleep ok the way out. We booked a cheap hotel at LAX so we can just crash and deal with a car the next morning. I'm terrified of taking N on this flight but it was cheaper than going to Florida and flights there are normally $300+.

The cheaper flights for me had a stop and total time was 8+ hoursI wasn’t willing to do that with a 1 year old for just a long weekend. I think she’ll do fine!
