Good morning!
I just spent a ridiculous amount at carters because they have 30% off clearance. B and J were born in different seasons so I have a lot of fleece items right now for J from B so that is basically how I'm justifying this in my head.

That's the first thing I did when I got to work this morning.

I'm kind of here today but I really need to get ready for my interview tomorrow. I got a hold of the questions so now I'm coming up with answers for all of them. It makes me feel much better having them ahead of time because I'm awful coming up with stories on the spot. waitwhat I keep wanting to buy C some light pants for the summer. I have a drawer full of fleece and heavy cotton that are useless right now.

Good morning!
I just spent the past hour on TCF copying and pasting a bunch of things into Word docs to save them. I don't know wtf is going on there but in any event it was time to get my shit organized from my pregnancy with D. With DS I kept a pregnancy journal but with D all I have is my posts. I got pretty emotional reading through all of our ticker changes over there, you guys. What a wild ride this all is.

We're on the road again. Driving down through Colorado. We have about 4 hours of road time left today and then another 7 hrs or so tomorrow. The mountains are at least pretty.

Re: TCF drama. I guess LED and Wallie got frustrated with the lack of response from Naria about content/private board deletions and in an attempt to get Naria's attention started locking random threads. When that didn't work they started moving a shit ton of threads to the mod board (but no one knew that's where they were going, it seemed like they were being deleted). When Naria was notified of what was happening, she removed all mods, so now those moved threads are stuck on the mod board until Naria feels like moving them back.

I'll add that since both of the individuals involved are G-mods on this site, Admins are currently deciding whether to remove them as such.

aggiebug, we're sorta kinda working on potty training. We haven't really made any progress in that last month, but we're also not trying that hard. I have a 5 day weekend coming up over 4th of July, so I think I'm going to go all out with the potty training then.

I'm ready for my second cup of coffee. DS1 has been super clingy this week. I was out of town for three days last week for work and the kid has been attached to my hip since I've gotten home. H has a man cold and couldn't help with bedtime last nigh because he wasn't feeling well. I'm on my own again tonight because he has a tee time with his coworkers tonight. He must not be that sick if he can play a round of golf...

They always have key lime pie, I'll send one your way! DS1 didn't start showing any interest in potty training until a month or so after he turned 3. Right now the struggle is getting him to sit on the potty long enough for something to actually happen. He likes taking his pants and diaper off and putting the potty seat on the toilet and getting his little stool out, but he only sits there for maaaaaybe 60 seconds, if we're lucky. Last night, before bath time, we got him to sit on the potty for about 2 minutes. He jumped off, said all done (without actually doing anything on the potty) and climbed into the bath tub where he immediately peed. So we clearly still have a long road ahead of us.

So I'm kind of irritated, but I don't know if I should be.
A friend of mine, that I don't get to see very often due to busy schedules, is pregnant with her first. She's due in August and her sister is throwing her a baby shower on Saturday. I just found out about the shower on Tuesday from another friend (M) because the sister had an old email address for me, so I never got the evite. We don't have anyone available to babysit, MH works his second job but it's just arts and craft day at the community center, so he could bring DS1 with him. I don't have any contact information for the sister so I asked M if she could reach out to her to see if I could bring DS2. The sister's response was "I wasn't planning for kids to attend."
Ok. I mean, I get not wanting older kids there, but this is a baby. No one other than myself needs to plan for his attendance. It's not like she needs to order additional cold cuts for him to chomp down on or anything. IDK, I think it's weird to say no babies allowed at a baby shower, but maybe I'm just being sensitive, especially since I rarely get the chance to see this friend.

jubilantsquirrel I agree with you. Babies at a shower are NBD. And they are usually welcome because they are cute. You are totally justified in being irritated.

I just don't get the, no kids thing at showers, especially a baby shower. Like you said, she won't need to buy extra food for him and isn't the point of a baby shower is to get excited about babies? You have an outside one in all its smiley, drooly, cute and squirmy glory! Oh wait, people just like the idea of cute baby things without the actual work that comes along with it! E turned 2 just a few weeks ago and we've been hit multiple times with the, "did you start potty training yet?" Seriously, only in the past week has he woken up in the morning dry. We've been asking him if he wants to sit on his potty and all I get is, "no mom". Alight then, I'll try asking again tomorrow. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Back in the day, people potty trained earlier. My sister had all 4 of hers potty trained as soon as they turned 2. Whatevs.
