Jack was outside playing on his gator in the snow and I went out the back door to check on him. Little did I know that he had just come in the front door... I ran around the yard yelling his name for 5 minutes. I was border line panic attack and was about to get in my car and drive through the woods to the bean fields. I came in to grab my phone and he's standing there "I need you to fix my glove, it fell off" Lord child.

Sitting in court. I had to nurse Bea in the parking garage and rush in. I hate court, and when I'm nervous I feel like I have to poop, so I'm not very comfortable right this moment. Wish me all the luck that my judge woke up on the right side of the bed this morning and this goes quick. 🙏🏼

Morning. WFH today and then we have an Christmas party tonight. N has a birthday party to go to but the parents will pick her up from daycare and bring her home to the babysitter. I'm lacking motivation to do anything. I should probably drink my coffee.

So glad it’s Friday, but not looking forward to this weekend trip. I also plan to try to finish my Christmas shopping this weekend. I have a cart on Amazon that I waited to go through with because I didn’t want packages arriving while we are away this weekend. I need to call the ILs before I do so I can make sure I am not buying something they want to get the boys.
I also have to take our Christmas pic sometime this weekend so I can get the cards out by end of next week.

Hi guys! Another year older today and off to a bumpy start. J flopped around in bed and I did not sleep and then completely forgot N's backpack. Thankfully I had some gf pizza in my purse and her teachers will cobble together snacks for her..and I dressed her in a holiday outfit rather than packing one bc we have the annual holiday kids party and tree lighting this afternoon.
Im about to go get a bday free salad and mail in the rest of the day since no one is at work today apparently.

Happy Birthday tallb! vino - I haven't pulled the trigger on them and just bought 4 new pairs of jeans between my go to Loft style and NY & Co Jeggings, so I think I can't justify any more. But maybe if I lose enough weight to need new jeans I'll pull the trigger on those in a size smaller. |

I don’t think I properly said hi today, so hi! Today started out a little wonky. I almost fainted at ds’ school, they sing advent songs in the hall every morning and I think the transition from outdoors to indoors got to me. Luckily I felt it coming and could sit down fast. Afterwards we went to the class and for the third time in ds sat by himself this week. I brought up so much of my own insecurities. Cue mom crying on her way to work. Luckily Dh told me a friend sat by ds yesterday and I had a good productive day at work.

Just got home from preschool pick up. I really need to get Charlie into those classes I mentioned earlier in the week because otherwise we just go out and I spend so much money on things we just do not need!
I finished all of my stocking stuffers today, hit up the liquor store to get the things I needed to make desserts for the holiday, and basically played supermarket sweep at home goods for presents for mhs colleagues.

Morning!! I'm feeling far calmer today. I talked to DH and he asked me to think through how I'd react if my Mom says they DID know vs. if she says they DIDN'T. He agrees this is going to create WW3 within the family and wants to make sure I'm as ready as possible for whatever comes. He also thinks we should be fine as long as my sister and her husband KNOW we know and never let the boys anywhere alone with them, though if I send him the details, he may feel a bit differently.
We had our first meeting with the counselor yesterday and will be going back in 2 weeks. We both have "homework", which is to do something specific that the other asked for. I need to set up a date for us, but it'll either be an IOU because we've got plans for the next couple of Saturdays OR I need to figure out some sort of at-home date for after the kids go to bed. I'm leaning towards both TBH, since DH always plans everything. Also before our appointment, he said he has the expenses spreadsheet I sent him 90% filled out and that it's been very eye opening. So he now gets that we're spending more than he thought AND that what we're putting in the joint account falls very short. We agreed to look at it together and make a plan moving forward once he has his numbers 100%, so I'm already feeling better.
After that, we took the kids to see Santa and we must have gotten there about 20 minutes later than usual. We're usually in line for 20-30 minutes but it took about 90 last night! We ended up grabbing dinner at Panera on our way home and DH took the long way so the kids could see Christmas lights. Chase used the potty before we saw Santa and again when we got to Panera - he's been great about staying dry during awake hours with us. Daycare is another story though...
Anyway I'm so excited for the weekend! DH is going over to his parents' tomorrow to work on the murphy bed and he's taking Colin with him. My MIL invited him over for Christmas crafts and cookie baking, so I could have some one-on-one time with Chase and maybe even a nap when he goes down. I'm so happy!
