jewels I love the restraint of a high chair! Our high chair broke 6months ago or something, since then both kids have these. Poof! ETA apparently longer since this was Christmas last year....

I want a chair like that nam2013! tgrimes sorry about the ears😔 N had her specialist appt this morning at children's and the doctor wants us to challenge her with gluten in a few months and do one more blood test that requires gluten in her system. He suspects celiac will be negative based on her other labs though. He confirmed that gluten sensitivity is real and not fake like some people say and she may just be like me with a sensitivity. I'll take it from a well known celiac expert! My coworker just had her twins today -b/g and she was team green. I am itching to run over to the hospital but will not unless invited. Her girls are the ages of my kids, so just doubled her # of kids 🤯

I’m so sorry tgrimes. Could you talk with your H about helping with it? His boss is an asshole.

tallb these are from a little workshop in Holland, but maybe a stokke trip trap could work? ETA or something similar, because those are 💰!

Do you all remember when you stopped using the high chair/booster seat? I can't remember for S, although I suspect it was around B's current age. All of a sudden, B refuses to sit in either, but he is such a sloppy eater, I like having him contained. I was hoping to keep it up for another few months. H was in a high chair way longer than S. She stopped sitting in it months ago because she wants to be on a regular chair like H.

trtlcrzy, I think that is part of the issue, and also at school they do not sit in high chairs. I really want to find some magic way to keep him in it!!

I have seen this style around, I just googled and there some to be some options. I will keep an eye on Craigslist and FB marketplace. I like that it has sides, the Ikea ones don't which concern me for N. Trip trapped are $$

Hi loves!
I haven’t read yet, but we just got home from the day.
Josie had her well visit, both kids had their flu shots then I I met my cousin to take the kids to see Santa, and then met my best friend and her two-year-old for lunch. Busy! I’m throwing together a quick pasta for dinner, but I just want to flop on the couch with my phone for half an hour.

Suggestions needed: My cousin does not the want to buy the kids toys, which I am actually very appreciative of, but rather buy some kind of experience. She already gets the kids koala and kiwi crates for the year for their birthdays, but now I’m looking for something else. There aren’t any museums or zoos close by, so I’m looking more into the subscription boxes. Does anyone have one that they would recommend. Little passports? Something science related?

jewels, well last Wednesday I started a thread with the title of 'Tuesday' so I should probably stay away from the thread starting business! tgrimes I'm sorry both of the kids are not feeling well. I understand the frustration of being the one to handle dr appts, it's the same in my house. My H has no idea who has Evie most days, let alone when dr or dentist appts are. It's not fair. Yup. Sil and I were talking about it the other day. I made a joke to A, "if I die, you have to remember to clip their finger nails! I don't want them to be the dirty kids!" He didnt laugh 🤷♀️

Considering the fact that I walked in on mh trying to wash Cadence's DRY hair, I don't think I can trust him with clippers near her fingers or toes.

klong11, the mood swings! OMG it's bananas! He goes from happy go lucky to so sad in an instant, I don't understand it! Yes! This is a better description of what I have been noticing. It’s not really so much the not listening as it is mood swings. Thank you. I’m sorry you’re all going through it too. Hopefully this is a very fast phase.

I had kids hanging out in it before they even started solids to hang out during meals.

We have a Keekaroo, which is similar, that I've used for 4 kids so far. Can't remember if it was pricey, but I know it was less than the Stokke, because I shopped around knowing I wanted a "grow with me" chair. They have a booster that clips to any chair as well that we used after the high chair.

guster I was just looking at subscriptions this morning, but magazines, not boxes. One of MH’s aunts got M a High Five subscription the Christmas after his third birthday. He wasn’t really interested in them that year, so I kept them all and he loves them now. Calls them his activity books because he likes doing the activities in them- hidden pics, trace by number, etc. I was researching to see if there was anything else out there like it and with more activities. My mom is going to get him whichever one I choose. I know he would love getting his own mail, too, since he checks the mailbox every day and looks for his name. What comes in the boxes? I may have to look at those, too.

Thank you We have something like that. He was not having it. He is one stubborn little Leo. Also, laughing that you have it for B when, as per the other thread, he's almost as tall as me

MH hates the space the high chair takes up, but we both love the containment of it.

tallb Have you ever had gluten free soft pretzels? I’m doing soft pretzels for DD’s school and I need 3 gluten free. The place I’m getting the rest from doesn’t do gluten free so I’m hoping to find frozen ones I can heat up at home for those.

Also, laughing that you have it for B when, as per the other thread, he's almost as tall as me He just sits at a better level to eat, to eat over his plate rather than reaching. J will be in it by her 3rd birthday, then he'll just be on the regular seat. I'm so excited to get rid of that damn high chair FOREVER!!!!!!!!!!! 11 more months....
