There's more. There were three copies of the new NAFTA deal to sign. During the signing ceremony, President Trump appears to sign in the wrong place on one of them.
This is the exact moment everyone realized, individually with their reactions, including Prime Minister Trudeau.

For the hard to shop for person this Christmas I’m tempted to suggest we get this for my MIL for Christmas. She’s a mega trump fan and it might make up for the monstrosity of a hat that she gave me a few years ago that had fluffy fur 4” high and sticking out probably 3” around it.

I am very concerned about the situation in France - this is all very scary to me. My chief concern is that opposition to climate change-related reform based on immediate-term thinking will lead to the rise of a French Donald Trump That's not meant to dismiss the protesters--we saw, in the last decade, what happens when people can't afford gas to drive to work. Rising fuel/oil prices harm working class families. Nobody should have to choose between driving to work or feeding her family. My counterargument, though, is that we ignored climate change past the point of minor discomfort. Had people accepted minor discomfort, in the form of HOV lanes and congestion charges and fuel taxes and carbon taxes 18 years ago, maybe the current situation wouldn't be so dire. We must acknowledge the impact climate change regulation has on middle and working class families while also accepting the absolutely necessity of some of these practices. Social safety nets will be critical. This is an opportunity for the Progressive wing of Western politicians to truly affect positive change. But it's no longer an economic issue , it is clearly an existential threat.

Quoting myself to add that I feel that it was a failure of the wealthy, followed by a failure of the upper Middle class, to allow the burden of climate change to fall to the working class and the poor. The 1% and the UMC aren't going to like that. But they were in a position to do something 20 years ago. some did! But far too many did not. And now, it is a burden we all shoulder. Even, and especially, the most vulnerable among us.

At least he has stated that while they aren't likey to back down on the diesel tax, they will look at how the tax revenue is ruted and funnel more of it to rural subsisdies etc.

The Prime Minister Hey @trevornoah - thanks for everything you’re doing to celebrate Nelson Mandela’s legacy at the @glblctzn festival. Sorry I can’t be with you - but how about Canada pledges $50M to @educannotwait to support education for women & girls around the world? Work for you? Let’s do it. I’ll be honest I don’t love the delivery on this (fine with the actual spending). I hope his people read the room with the feedback they’re getting and change course a little.

There was a picture posted of Bush's service dog sleeping next to his coffin. It was really sweet, even for me as a cat-lover. Slate posted an article that pointed out the dog was only in service to Bush for six months.
I am loving the Twitter responses to the Slate article.

My theory on the Conways is that KA is a fierce woman who does what she wants and George knew that going in. I also think KA is 100% an opportunist and likely doesn't believe half the nonsense she spews. She'll use Trump for power, then toss him aside and write a blistering tell-all if his Presidency goes down in flames. I think she's evil, but she's definitely not stupid. She's smart enough to know which meetings to skip and what to put in a phone call or a quiet chat in the Mess rather than in an email. She'll maintain absolute plausible deniability. Then, two years from now, she'll try to reclaim her place in polite company, with the help of her husband.
