Morning from my own desk!

Getting up before 5am was brutal this morning but I'm hoping I'm readjusted to my own timezone by tomorrow. Everyone seemed to have the same issue though, so maybe it's just the time of year. Both boys were still passed out cold when I went in their rooms to get them up - and Colin had fallen asleep while I was reading his first story! I clearly woke him up mid-dream because he started talking about how he's beating us all because he's already to 35 and I was only at 20-something. Not sure exactly when he woke up, but it was cute.

Curious to see how Chase does at school today after a relatively good weekend (ignoring the part when I found him pooping in his underwear after dinner). Also tonight is our parent-teacher conference with Colin's kindergarten teacher, so I'm also looking forward to that. His progress report was good but I'm interested in asking more about his behavior and social skills.

I ran to get coffee and to Michaels to get my planner for next year. I want to schedule all my ob appointments next time I go so I get the times/day/doctor i want.

Last night S went to bed like normal at 7:30. Fell asleep on her own without Melatonin. At 10:00 she woke up and started playing. I put her back in bed and then I went to bed. At 10:30 I woke up to her singing and looked at the monitor and saw her light was on. So I go in there and she had taken her pajama pants and diaper off and peed on her bed, including 2 pillows. When I went in she was looking at books butt naked. So I changed the bedding and went and got new pillows from the spare bedroom.

So my question...do you wash pillows? Or just throw them out and get new ones? I have tried washing pillows before when they were puked on...and they never come out the same. So if you would wash them, any tips for washing/drying?

Luckily your parents probably don't care, and totally understand!   In fact, when my parents come my mom usually helps me get things back in order...or she will take over child entertainment so I can get things done!

MH was just telling me this morning that when he was in 5th (ish) grade or so, his parents were really involved in politics. They took him out of school for the day to attend an event in their town. Because of my FIL's involvement in the event planning, MH had front row seats and whatever the equivalent to backstage passes for such events is. George H. W. was the VP at the time and running for Pres. When he arrived at this event, he was escorted down the front row where MH was and shaking everyone's hands. When he got to MH he stopped, grabbed MH's hand and held it up, and said "Ladies, and gentlemen, this is our future". A picture was taken and was nationally publicized. But he doesn't remember what publication. He thought maybe Time magazine, but he doesn't remember and neither does his dad. Nor, do they have a copy of the pic. This was the first time I had heard the story but thought it was kinda cool.

Hi all - quite a Monday morning getting out of the house. Nothing more annoying than to have to stop for gas on a ride in and I had to skip breakfast. I am heading out a but early to get j to do a hot chocolate playdate with a friend that couldn't come to his party due to a family emergency.. his parents wanted to find a time to give j his gift and make up for missing the party. So meeting at school (friend is in K now) md going for hot chocolate around the corner and then I will go pick up N afterwards.

Busy weekend.

We had Dude’s little friend from school over to watch Grinch and decorate cookies. His mom brought wine so we enjoyed a glass while we chatted and mocked anti-Vaxxers. We’re going to Zumba again this week. I guess now I have two local mom friends (chrisy01 being the other).

chrisy01 after I had M2, I don’t get my house together as much when our parents come to visit. It took me a while to be ok with it, but I just don’t have the time to get the house spotless and tidy like I used to. Once, my ILs came in town and helped Mh clean while I was at work. I think they understand.

Morning!! I just got back from the gym, but I cut my run short because my heart kept racing. It was odd and kind of freaked me out, but it feels ok now. My house is a disaster and I need to clean, but I also need to go to the grocery store for dinner stuff and target for Christmas shopping... I need more hours in the day! Hopefully dh is going to come home early and work from here so I can get some more stuff done.

Morning. It snowed all weekend so the commute was long and a little chilly.  I have exactly zero interest in doing any of the work ahead of me so I've been searching entrance Wall trees/benches online and putting together a list of things J needs of her room once she gets a bed. I'm a great employee today.

Oh no. I wash my pillows, always do 2 at a time. Put a couple dryer balls or clean tennis balls in the dryer with them. If they are old pillows and need to be replaced anyways I’d just skip though.

I have never washed my pillows. I replace them 1-2 times a year. Am I gross, should I be washing them? tell me how to adult in this situation.
