This is the one we have!
ETA: the boxes are about the size of a Hatchimal egg...if you're wondering what can fit in them. I usually get a couple of blind bags and open them to put in them, candy, etc. What I've learned from Cadence is that repeats are not appreciated, so don't buy 1 type of candy and put it in several boxes.
So should I buy 2 or can I get 2 small things in it?

trtlcrzy good luck today vino I have an advent calendar that my grandmother made me and we use for the kids, but the boxes are itty bitty! I usually put chocolate in it or coins, or notes with activities we can do. If I have a bigger gift I wrap it and put it in front of that day. @wine oh no! Get stitches girl!!

guster I always see those little Advent calendars, but what the heck do you put in that teeny tiny box? That’s what’s stopped me from buying every time I’m thinking individually wrapped chocolate like lindt truffles or Baci, stickers, cute holiday erasers, Circle cheese (because my kids are weird). I’m sure I could get a list going, but it feels wasteful to buy big package of the things to fill small containers. Washi tape is a good one too!

Well crap. I dropped a small glass bottle and cut my foot good, pretty much right to the bone. I'm hoping I can get it to stop bleeding so I don't have to make a trip for stitches. Ouch! That sounds worthy of a trip to the doctor.

Morning Ladies. Baby was up all night coughing, so I am dragging ass. Coffee will be consumed in large amounts today.
Looked at flights to Denver yesterday, and DH almost bought me one with his points, but he was 1000 short. Going to look again today, woo hoo!
I have the felt tree advent calendars. We hang them on the kids doors. I put ornaments in some pockets and candy in others. We have 4 elves (not elf on the shelf) that come in through an elf door on December 1st, but they don't do a whole lot the rest of the month. I need to buy another elf and order another monogrammed stocking for Bea.

J was up from 1 to 5 last night. Just tossing, turning, whining, and complaining I wouldn't let him get up. I'm exhausted. Taking them to jumping Jack's to burn energy.

A interviewed for a promotion yesterday. His friend is leaving the company and hes one of 5 guys interviewing to replace him. I really hope he gets it. It would be a big pay raise over time, and sets him on the track to the job he ultimately wants. His hours would be better and he wouldn't be working in the elements so much. Right now he leaves at 4 every morning and doesnt get home until 6:30. He could basically make his own hours in this job and even work from home some.

kim22 how is your grandma? My sister dropped her 2 year old here and went to see what was up at the hospital. They found some kinda of open sore on her back that they think is skin cancer that could add complications to the surgery so they are waiting on a dermatologist to come check that. Surgery tentatively scheduled for 2:00.

C got his 1 year pictures taken this morning. He did well. They were printing them but I had to run to meet my sister so she could get to the hospital so I’m going back to get them later. When I got home, my sister was yelling from her car to get in the house fast because something was going on. 4 police cars were circling the street so I guess they were looking for someone.

I think my sister meant it’s an infection that could be skin cancer and so the infection part is what the surgeon is worried about.

Morning! We had a rough bedtime with C last night which resulted me me having to wake his cranky ass up for school. Coffee now, so good. L has her 2.5 year check up today. I don't remember C having one of those I'm sure this has been covered already, but I'm just reading now. S did not have one. B is going to have one (I made the appointment already for February). My pedi said she doesn't always schedule them, she only does if there is something she wants to follow up on with the kid. For B it's obviously his development/speech. She does them for this or for height/weight checks, etc.

It's on the bone that sticks out on the inside of the foot by your toes...whatever that's called. Bleeding has mostly stopped. I'm totally going to ask L's pediatrician at her appointment and see if she wouldn't mind telling me what she thinks!
