I suck a doing makeup and wear very little. I do wear mascara, concealer and a little blusher every. Now my question. Halfway trough the day my mascara ends up under my eye and I basically look like the haggard panda I really am, but don’t want to look like. Is there any way to avoid this? Eye primer has been my life saver. Link. Which one? Or are all eye primers created equal? |

@nam, tubing mascara has been a life saver on my eyes. No smudges ever! I don’t know what this is. Link? Brand? I was just going to ad the same thing! Plus, I wish we could drink wine at a bar and looked like drunk pandas together 😉. |

I fell asleep. My said he was going to clean, but started asking where each and every little thing was supposed to go, so I went to my room and closed the door. I just woke up and he and Cadence are outside hanging Christmas lights and the house didn't get cleaned. They want to put the tree up, which is even more mess. I have a feeling the kitten will have the tree ornaments on the floor within an hour of putting it up. I sound very bah hum buggy.

Basically, the mascara wand doesn’t just extend or thicken your lashes, but creates a tube of mascara around them, so it doesn’t smudge off. I found this explanation that is more succinct:  There are so many on the market, but I have been using these two from Ulta on and off for the last two years. I prefer the purple. And, I had no idea what brands they were (or any desire to run upstairs and check) so you can see by my Google searches I had to use the color of the tube to figure it out:   |

We didn’t make it to the tree lighting. Everyone was busy with something fun and we didn’t want to to get bundled up to go so we finished the gingerbread house (what a hot mess) and watched a little hallmark channel.

nam2013 have you tried different mascaras? I had one do that to me and I just bought something different. Not sure which brand it was. There is something called lash primer. I’ve never used it, so I can’t say how good it works, but maybe try that. I think the drug store brands make them as well as the more expensive brands. I recently used a Rimmel mascara because it was what was on sale at Target and loved it- it was just as good as Diorshow. Maybe scandaleyes? Not sure. My target has since renovated and I couldn’t find the brand- so I don’t know if they stock it anymore. I need to check other places for it, but I always forget.

I just cooked poppyseed chicken and made apple crisp and it’s all so good.
I would really love to just binge Netflix for the rest of the night, but there is still work to do since I took a break to grocery run and cook.

I was on gf searching for some furniture ideas (I want to play around with our family room) room, and thought I was back on our board, so I posted about my elf on the shelf. Whoops! Here it is:
We bought an elf on the shelf today. Josie named him Caribou, and Charlie didn’t complain so it stuck. I don’t think I like that whole Elf is you watching thing, but he’s cute sitting on a branch of the tree, and I’m pretty sure he’ll stay there.

Re: mascara. Waterproof mascara shouldn’t run when you wear it, so that might help the smudging issue. I, personally, don’t really like waterproof cause it’s kind of a pain to get off. My most favorite mascara, that never ever smudges, is benefit they’re real. It kind of acts like a waterproof but isn’t.
Another suggestion is to use an undereye concealer and set it with powder. Don’t brush the powder around, press it on the area. If you have oily eyelids it wouldn’t be a bad idea to put a little setting powder on your eyelids as well.

I ate way, way too much at thanksgiving. My fancy Mac n cheese turned out really yummy. I only got one piece of my pumpkin pie so I may need to get more ingredients and make another one, but that wouldn’t be the best ideas for my waistline. I am going to sleep now because I have to work bright and early tomorrow morning.

Cadence started bawling because she dropped and broke an ornament. We don't have many breakable ones, but that was one of them. It wasn't a big deal, but she was very upset.
So many emotions in this kid.

Just caught up on the past few days.
We were at my aunt’s for Thanksgiving. The boys played horseshoes and jammed in the music room. They had a blast.
Yesterday we met up with Pete’s college roommates. Everyone brought the kids out to a local park and it was great to see them. Weird to meet everyone in their drinking heyday then fifteen years later we’re hanging around chasing our little ones up and down slides. All the kids got along great. Then I got a laser facial and it made me break out. Yay!
We’ve just been lounging today.
Plan for tomorrow is to get out our tree and decorations then go out for our anniversary.
