I think I’m going to stress eat this bag of Halloween candy sitting next to me all day.

I'm taking my kids before school drop off this afternoon. I slept poorly and my stomach is tied in knots.

I early voted so today I'm just going to be figuring out what to do with my hands all day.

A friend just finished voting in Alexandria and said the poll workers were saying they've never seen crowds like this before.

I am also obviously parenting in teaching my kids civic engagement. DD1 cried that she doesn't want to vote when she grows up because she wants to be a doctor

I told MH we could vote together after he gets out of work, and that is too many hours away. Blah.

I early voted so today I'm just going to be figuring out what to do with my hands all day. Might I suggest phone banking for Arizona or Florida? (Sorry , I'm shameless)

Amazing. Avocado-toast eating Millennials may save us all. Which like...who could have predicted? lol

This weather in the DMV :-( My big kid is in double walking casts that can’t get wet. I was looking forward to taking him with me to vote, but it’s so awful out there that I think he will be staying home with H.

I have a slightly on topic question. I have a friend in Pittsburgh that has two kids at home sick and her husband is out of town. She is worried about making it to vote. Does not readily have childcare to support. What resources can I point her to? Uber and Lyft are giving free rides to the polls if she is okay bringing them with her. I am not sure if this is a nationwide thing, but it could be worth it for her to look into.

Hi! Hope you don't mind a new face jumping in! Add me to the list of those who didn't sleep well. When I get nervous, I get productive. All of my birthday, Hanukkah, and Christmas shopping is done. Next up, cleaning every inch of the house. Can you come over and expend that energy at my house too? 😂🤣😂🤣

Our poll workers said there was a line when they opened at 6am. We have two scanners for ballots, and at 7am, I was number #90 on mine. Most people were using the other. When I walked out, there were at least 15 people waiting and another 10 cars pulled in. I got to vote for a first time running woman looking to kick out the sitting republican in the state senate. She got fired up after the 2016 election. I hope she wins! I did have to hold my nose a bit voting for governor, though. Another 4 years of Cuomo...

People are very nice to you when you're 9 months pregnant and voting.
My H and I went early this morning and there was already a healthy line. I saw a lot more young people than I usually do that early. So that is a good thing.
They keep talking about my District on CNN as being a big indicator of the Election and it's amping up my nerves.

We all three went to vote at 7:00. M thought we were going to “BOAT” and wanted to “boat” for the leaves on the ground. He was kind of a handful lol but I’m glad we took him. The Girl Scouts were there having a bake sale and I thought of ((@darlene )).

My H works in a non-political role at a political organization (if that makes sense); he'll be working late tonight so I'll be solo parenting (again). Already decided I will be ordering take-out of some kind for dinner, and will likely have at least one drink, depending on how well N goes down tonight. I hope I don't wake him yelling at the phone/tv watching returns...

I am trying to stay hopeful. My wait for early voting yesterday was way longer than I expected, but I live in a super red area, so that doesn't necessarily bode well. BUT, I've never voted early before, so I don't know what the wait's usually like-- there's only one location for the whole county, and it was the last morning for it. Plus we have two really contentious local school board races that have gotten way more attention than usual because of a controversial issue.
Sooo basically I'm all over the map. 😬😂😱

I have my RBG dissent collar earrings and Sandy Hook Promise shirt on, ready to vote. I usually go in the middle of the day to try and avoid the long lines.
I'm then going to work from home, and may go ahead and open some wine. 😬

I know I got an email from the Id Dem party asking for volunteer drivers. Maybe start at party hq?

Jake Tapper keeps retweeting this stuff about re-electing the mayor from Jaws. I don't know who or why this started but it's at least making me laugh today.
