Snowing here too! Guise, I’m mildly freaking out. I got AF back after I cut out the afternoon nursing session at 11ish months. I got my cycle the next months at like 30 days. It is currently CD38 and nothing. I know it can be irregular while still BFing, but I got an iud at 6 week pp with DD so I didn’t get a cycle until it was removed when we ready to TTC so this is totally new to me. We have used a condom every time but I’m still mildly panicking that I’m pregnant 😳 We are pretty sure we will have a #3 but not until DS is 2-3 😬 Someone talk me off the ledge. PP periods are so weird. After DS1 I had a Mirena too so just spotting for like a month then...nothing. THIS TIME...oof. today is CD1 #4 for me. First period was normal, if not slightly light. Ended up being a freaking 38 day cycle (so here's hoping you'll be my cycle twin) and AF was a BEAST after that. Luckily next one was 28 days and back to normal. H got the all clear from his vasectomy back in the spring so I wasn't worried about being KU; I just don't like being....off track. I've never in my life had a cycle longer than 30 days (and I had been charting a loooooong time so like...wtf. and my skin! This baby has seriously fucked up my skin. It's awful!! Ugh.

thechickencoop I had the same experience with the Mirena iud after DS1. Also, if you wanna talk skincare - you know I’m all about that 😁.

Our neighbors (the ones we’re good friends with) has a baby today!! I’m so excited to see the little cutie once they get home from the hospital! 😊💕
Question - I want to get my neighbor a little new mommy something - like a gift basket. I was going to throw a couple Japanese steam eye masks, some sheet masks, and some healthy snacks in there. Any other ideas on what I could give her? Anything you all really liked when you were newly post partum? I’m trying to think of useful yet indulgent things...but I’m coming up blank.

I need to get it cleared up first though. I just switched to a wash with benzoyl peroxide instead of the usual salicylic acid and it actually seems to be helping a bit on this like, acne I can feel, but can't see? I need to make an dermatologist appt here soon though because I have a skin tag that just popped up on my freakin eyelid a few months ago and i want it gone.

Using a gentle AHA (Cosrx makes one, as does Paula’s choice...Sunday Riley Lactic Acid is good too, but $$$) can help with those bumps. Also - snail really helps with acne! Part of the reason your skin might have issues is because your moisture barrier is compromised. Snail helps repair that. It can’t hurt! I love my snail 🐌 The dermatologist is also a good way to go. I’ve heard good things about Curology - maybe ask what your doc thinks about doing a prescription for that? Sorry again about the skin woes

Taitai I’ll suggest a water infuser bottle. It was nice to easily change up plain water with some lemon, mint, or fruit.

I slept in DS1’s room and sent him to MIL. I’m so tired. I’m letting the baby rip up paper with his teeth. I’m pretty sure he’s not eating it. Pretty sure.
I’m watching Mickeys Christmas Carol and drinking cold coffee. Like usual.

Hummus and amoxicillin was the winning combo last night. This morning we had to force it down. Try again tonight!!

Super lazy but relaxing Sunday. I got up with the girls, H slept in, then we traded and I got a mid morning nap with DD2. Roasted chicken for lunch, baking with DD1 this afternoon..: all in all a nice Sunday.
I did realize while I was getting DD2 down for her naps today she needs some better blackout curtains. For whatever reason her room gets ridiculous amounts of sunlight compared to the rest of ours. I am going to try some thermal lined something or others off Amazon and see if that helps. We love our pitch-black bedrooms at the Danvers’ house! 😂

E has her EI eval tomorrow. It says on the forms I had to fill out that it "isnt a test of your parenting skills" but I'll be damned if it doesn't feel like it is.
I'm over here cleaning my house because it feels like CPS is on their way to make sure our living conditions are acceptable. Sorry, I'm just up in my feels tonight.

I'm over here cleaning my house because it feels like CPS is on their way to make sure our living conditions are acceptable. Sorry, I'm just up in my feels tonight. When EI came to my house for DD1’s evaluation I cleaned everything top to bottom - like cleaned the junk drawer and fan blades and other ridiculous things. We have a family friend who does EI and she kept assuring me they do not judge. And then every week when DD1 speech therapist came during the summer I super cleaned it as well. 🤷♀️ I know exactly how you feel. H and I are both teachers. We both have special education and early childhood backgrounds and our daughter STILL was in EI. All the ((hugs)) tonight. I promise it is not an evaluation of your parenting but I also know how it feels. You are an amazing mama to E.

Why are the weekends so short??? ☹ I have no sticks!!!!! Nothing to pee on! I do have a grocery order I am planning on placing tomorrow. There is a 2 pack of tests sitting in that cart. If AF doesn’t show up by lunch time tomorrow they will get purchased and picked up Tuesday and I will test at some point before I leave for Boston on Wednesday!
