We are going grocery shopping later and I'm hoping to get our thanksgiving turkey. We are having my family's thanksgiving the weekend before because of our schedules this year so that's only two weeks away. Crazy!
Also I really hope I'm feeling better by then because right now the thought of handling a huge raw turkey is so unappealing. I basically haven't cooked any meat since I've been pregnant. So that should be interesting.

Grocery shopping and then doing the least - which has been the theme lately. I have no desire to do anything currently except sleep.

We spent the day at the Zoo with one of DDs friends from daycare and her dad. It was fun, but both my kids made a game of running away, so that was awful. I really got mad at DS one time, but he just does not get it. I have no idea how we will handle things like that with 3 kids. Heading home for dinner, I am starving

sunny75 I haven't cooked any meat either. MIL made a ham today and I ate a lot because I've been craving meat...but now I'm pretty sure I'm going to throw up:/

I'm hoping it still sounds good tonight. Hopefully you didn't actually end up puking.

And I ended up bringing the left over ham home and frying it with eggs for breakfast. So the ham ended up being ok. But the smell of bread is killing me today.

sammysam, the smell of bread is awful while pregnant for me. I remember it being bad with my last too. I do still like it toasted, but its so hard to get to that point.

We are in the middle of our 2 weeks a year of nice weather here. We have windows open, and it is wonderful. The open windows are also helping the nausea which is an added perk!

I took the kids to a movie over the weekend and slept through most of it - they woke me up when they wanted me to refill the popcorn. Even after the cat nap I was in bed by 8:00. Yesterday I fell asleep while attempting to read in the afternoon and called it quits early again last night. My bladder doesn't know that DST ended so I've been getting up earlier than necessary, which isn't really a bad thing as I've realized that I need to take time to eat something before running the kids to school and going to work or I wait too long and get extra nauseous.
I've also noticed that I'll think I'm super hungry but then can't eat very much before getting full.

We had a pretty quiet weekend here. I was at rehearsal late on Friday, so I was tired on Saturday. We did end up going to the mall to walk a bit (since it was gray and raining all day) and I found the beginnings of my sister’s Chanukah present. It was good getting a little bit of exercise in, but then I was wiped out for the rest of the evening! Sunday I felt well enough to help out with some light chores, and then H cooked a little mini Thanksgiving because stuffing and sweet potatoes have been sounding amazing all week! We had a chicken, stuffing, mashed sweet potatoes, green beans and cranberry jelly. It was probably the most balanced meal I’ve had all week, since it had protein and vegetables! I also got to video chat with my two BFFs last night, which is always wonderful. I can’t wait to see them in person at Thanksgiving!

One of my students today told me I look bougie. Apparently this is a good thing now? I thought it meant pretentious, but she said no, it’s a compliment and I just look really nice. I’m out of touch with the lingo apparently.
It was nice to hear that I look nice though, since I was wearing maternity leggings and a flowy top! It’s a blouse I normally belt at my natural waist, but didn’t do that today.

The baby announcements just keep coming around me. Three of DH's cousins are due in May now. It's crazy! We all have similarly aged children already, but four of us in the same month?

quinstar, that is so fun to have so many little ones close in age in your family! elephantastic, hope all goes well with your ultrasound! bonzo, dentist appointments in first tri are miserable (well, I hate going to the dentist, but being already nauseated adds a whole new level). Good luck, hope it is not too bad!

Just got back from a check up! Baby is looking good! We even got a quick ultrasound, and baby is measuring pretty close to right on!
Step SIL (her dad married DHs mom well after DH was out of the house and she lives about 8 hours away, so we have only met her a handful of times) had her baby early this morning. They induced her about 3 weeks before her due date since she had uncontrolled shaking that they could not figure out. At least a few times through pregnancy she admitted to doing some drugs, so everyone was sure that baby would go through withdrawals once born, but baby looks and seems really healthy, so I am so relieved. She is even in the room with SSIL, so no NICU time. I am just really happy the baby seems to be doing so well.

Question - any recs for pregnancy and or baby name apps? I downloaded Ovia and Nurture. Just wondering what other recs are. The couple of baby name apps I downloaded I'm not real impressed with.

Here's my Thursday confession - last night on A Million Little Things when she went for the u/s, I started sobbing. I told DH that I'm going nuts not knowing what's going on in me for sure and I just hope that our u/s is as good as the character's was. He told me that based on how emotional I've been lately and the fact that he almost got punched when he tried to touch my breast, his bet would be that everything is just fine.
I'm just not a very patient person

I have Ovia for pregnancy. I do not have a name app, and I don't think I have ever used one. We always have a hard time with names, so a good app could perhaps be helpful for us.

bearfootzcontinued, I’ve been using Sprout for pregnancy. I like that it has info on baby’s growth, some “to dos” and a journal for me. Plus there’s a built in contraction timer, so no need for someth8ng different when the time comes!

mamabear02, did you get results back for the lump in your breast? I may have missed an update. I hope it was nothing!

mamabear02, did you get results back for the lump in your breast? I may have missed an update. I hope it was nothing! I did! Did I forget to update here? I may have, my brain is all over the place lately! So this last weekend, I couldn't find the lump anymore and she couldn't find anything with the ultrasound that looked abnormal and the radiologist didn't see anything when they looked at the images, so it appears to have disappeared whatever it was! I will be having my ob double check when I go in early Dec for my next appt. The very little research I did (as to not freak myself out) said cysts can be related to hormones so that would make sense in early pregnancy. I think I also read that you can have clogged milk ducts this early as well so I wondered if that could've been it.

Glad it seems to have been nothing, mamabear02, what a relief. And you definitely could have updated, and I could have missed it with all the redirects I have been getting.
