peachsmama I like the light with your kitchen, but your table is what is giving me pause. The table I don’t love for your space. It seems to heavy for how light and airy your kitchen space seems. I tend to agree with this (And @snoop). Did you purchase the table yet? Also, I haven’t started any lighting research (iej Pinterest and houzz) for our house yet, so I don’t know if this is right or wrong, but do you want both hanging pendants over the bar area and then a hanging lighting fixture over the table? Is that too much, too close ? Is a flush mount an option? From the video I can’t tell how much space there is between the areas.

M2 had another good night and everyone is still sleeping so far. Small miracles. I know as soon as I get up to get my coffee, someone will wake up. It always happens that way.
So one of the parties- the one I was going to just drop the gift off and not stay long- we were going to yesterday is actually today. Whoops. I’m probably just going to drop the gift off again today, too, depending on how M’s feeling. I think he has a sinus cold, so we will see. Same goes for a fall festival we were supposed to go to around noon.

wineallthetime oof that is hard.. how old was the sick kid? I don't know how I would have reacted, but wouldn't have been pleased with such young kids there. Hopefully they will get over it and move on. May need to apologize just to keep the peace, especially since your IL watch the kids. (I hate confrontation though). Keep us posted. Maybe you h can smooth things over?

My sis is on her way up for a memorial service for a friend's husband, so I will pick her up tonight and then drop her off tomorrow. She has never been to this apartment, so she will see it before we move. And it total disarray since we are packing. We need to enjoy the fall day somehow too, leaves are on point this weekend. I arrived at the house yesterday and there were 3 deer in the front yard, pretty cool! Just not great for gardening prospects..

peachsmama I think the light fixture is fine with your kitchen and hardware, but it’s the table that doesn’t really match. Are there other lighter wood pieces in the kitchen that ties the table in? Also, when are you moving in? Will you be moved in by thanksgiving? Do you want to meet up either the Friday or Saturday after thanksgiving? There will be wood pieces in the connecting room. I have no idea when we'll be in at this point. My septic tank is currently sitting in the driveway because it rained for 5 days and now it's to wet to dig the hole to bury it. Let me see when my family is doing everything and I'll let you know! Cant wait to see you guys again!

Yes, it's an amish built table and they retail for at least a thousand and I got it for 200. It was just refinished last year to a light oak color and I adore the table. There will be stools at the peninsula so there's a good amount of space. But a flush mount could be an option too.. I didnt think of that.

My friends aunt wanted to switch to a rectangular table and sold hers to me for what she bought her new one for so she was breaking even. And she had just had it refinished last year so it's basically brand new. The chairs are in good shape but I want something less traditional.

wineallthetime I’m team they shouldn’t have come. I have a hard time believing 103 is from teething. Low grade fever, sure, but not 103. Exactly.

Congratulations to M on his new job, dapostrophe! That sounds really fun. tallb I’m sorry about your nephew and your friend. Rough weekend all around. I can’t begin to imagine a toddler in a full body cast. Poor little guy. slenle Has anything changed for N recently? Is she able to tell you why she’s getting so upset about some things that had been pretty routine? I hope things improve soon.

Hi girls.
Poppy is napping and Pete took the boys to his dad’s to burn off some energy. They were climbing everything. I should be cleaning, but here I sit.
We’re finally starting to see some pretty measurable progress with X; he’s eating with a spoon and becoming more food motivated. The last couple weeks, I don’t think a single day went by where he didn’t eat at least some solids. So I’m VERY cautiously optimistic.
Pete is absolutely freaking out about money and he was starting to let it be a cloud over his whole day and every interaction with everyone. We had a talk about it yesterday and he seems to have snapped out of it for now. It’s date night and I’m counting down the hours to my wine flight.

Hi! Haven’t posted today. ILs stayed the night last night since it was grandparents day at school yesterday. We went into the cities today with friends to take the kids to the Okee Dokee brothers concert (kids band). N went pee like 10 times during the day so I took her into urgent care to check for uti. It came back normal so I’m not sure what the deal is. Her teacher commented on how many times she used the bathroom on Wednesday too. So we’re going to keep an eye on it. I’m wondering if it is related to her anxiety lately... which I’m not sure if I’ve shared much of here. Hoping it’s all just a phase, but she’s really struggling. Has she pooped recently? Sometimes constipation can cause urinary frequency to increase.

Guys, we had major party drama yesterday. SIL calls in the afternoon saying they can't make it cause her 1 year old had a 103 temp. Well...then they showed up at the party. I told MH I wasn't comfortable with it, especially since our kids don't have flu shots yet. This turned into MIL screaming that she was leaving because she couldn't believe I'd ask them to go, SIL crying outside, us getting uninvited to Thanksgiving... Was I in the wrong? Would you have let them stay? SIL said he was teething, but why would you take your kid to a party with a 103 fever!? Plus, SIL was sick a couple days ago... 103 is NOT a teething fever. I would have asked them to leave also. Sorry they reacted this way.

Today is MH's bday. I feel bad because we really haven't done much. We got donuts, have had a lazy day and will be having spaghetti for dinner (his choice). I didn't even get him a present since he bought his own a few weeks ago.

I ended up being pretty busy yesterday. I started doing my hair pretty early because I knew it was going to be a pain in the butt, and sure enough it was. I had a lot of fun at the party, as per usual. DH woke up super early and went to get the kids at my sister’s house while i stayed at our friend’s house. After we got home and I ate I fell asleep and took a very long nap. I desperately need a shower and will do that soon. Low key for the rest of the day.

2 craft stores and no damn fairy doors. I swear I've seen them there before. So, I ordered 1 one on Amazon instead.
I found some LOL things at Target for her party, napkins, plates, etc that I liked better than the ones at party City so I bought them. Also got lol PJs, slippers, a shirt....I swear if I ever see LOLs again it will be too soon! Haha

slenle Has anything changed for N recently? Is she able to tell you why she’s getting so upset about some things that had been pretty routine? I hope things improve soon. No big changes for her. And she has no issue going to preschool or daycare. She just says she misses us when we’re not there. At dance she says she’s not as good as the other girls and she didn’t sing at grandparents day because she said she doesn’t like people watching her. She had a meltdown again today when Dh took her to Sunday school. But then when we picked her up she said she had fun and can’t wait to go back next week.

Has she pooped recently? Sometimes constipation can cause urinary frequency to increase. That’s our other thought. She has, but not much. We’re going to miralax for a few days to get things moving. She hasn’t been running to the bathroom nearly as much today which is good.

Just fished up touching up paint in the basement. Cabinets are on schedule and should be installed Tuesday! Flooring will be done by Thursday. Can’t wait to see it all come together!
Heading to my sisters in a few minutes for dinner. We decided to started a standing weekly dinner rotating between her house, my parents, and our house on Sunday nights. Should be the start of a good family tradition.

I'm settled in my hotel. I get my own room and it's clean so that's what matters but it's small and outdated. The building where we have class is connected to the hotel so that's convenient. It's super dreary here and the buildings are very drab. I think by the end of the 2 weeks I'll be really sick of seeing the people here. I haven't seen any women yet who will be in my class and I really hope there's at least one or two. So far it seems like it's going to be a lot of douchy guys who take themselves too seriously and want to show off how smart they are. That will get old quick.
